Steve Jobs couldn`t beat cancer - but you go ahead and tell us how its done Falcon.
all that money and fame gave him no knowledge.. he felt above the falcon. this happens alot.. I must truly be the messenger, certainly they shouldve beat this , who wouldve thought that they would fail even with one of the most important tools....money

i don't know a lot about him, but he will be missed by someone if he checks out. this is the guy who gave ali financial support when ali got out of jail, and gave ali a shot at his title and his money on top of that. i guess the old guys were molded from different clay.
maybe fmw should be talking to this guy instead of roger and his dad.

I had a relative in hospice. He had dementia---had a wound that wouldn't heal properly, and just wasn't eating...he didn't know any of us.

liver cancer synonomous with hepatitis aswell, all diseases are linked and or have a ripple effect or trickle down effect whatever you want to call it

exactly what i had, a wound that wouldnt heal properly i didnt know what else to do , i tried antibiotics but they didnt work, all i could think of was that i should stop eating all that fucking meat. that did the trick and it healed

this is such sad news of a gentlemen and truly legendary sporting icon, i read his book smoking joe a few years ago and he tells of the disappointment and anger he had towards ali after all the help joe gave him when he was banned, ali ridiculed and belittled him, he was rightly bitter for many years.
wonderful to hear him talk of having no fear, i bet he aint showing any now either, fingers crossed for him.

not much difference between being thrown in a dumpster and hospice, no food no water
this sick world has gotten you people into beleiveing that hospice is a good place
what a sick sick world
the hell with trying to get joe when he was going down hill to be a vegetarian. fuck that these fuckin cocky athletes think they can just overcome shit with will and special mental powers WTF is wrong with you people. Its the same people that beleive gregg plitt has special mental powers that allow him to have more motivation and just be better than everyone
everything is a science. sadly these athletes are too egotistical to even consider pusssy assed vegetarianism cause its for pussies right?
yeah "god bless joe frazier" that doesnt mean a damn thing you saying that , that shit doesnt help him nor will it help the next man that is dieing. YOU HAVE TO INFILTRATE PEOPLE AND PISS THEM THE FUCK OFF AND FORCE THE SOLUTION. IF THEY ARE DISOBEDIENT TO THE SOLUTION YOU KEEP BADGERING FORCING "FALCON" TYPE OF NUTRITIONAL KNOWLEDGE TO HELP YOUR FELLOW MAN
thats all you can do, give these sick people my advice , thats real compassion not senseless compassion "oh i hope hell be alright maybe hell pull through"
you may have to really piss off a sick person to help them go down the right path
-
you would think that this man being a man sorrounded by money, same with steve jobs would have someone give them a falcon like influence in there lives , forcing them to be a vegetarian. but no in this world (wich is a good world) but full of sick minds , that kind of thinking will never cross there mind, its just too "touchy" for people to tell another how to eat.
I always give my family and cousins alot of shit , telling them how they should eat, im sure it annoys the fuck out them, but its the only way,
-
Shut the fuck up with your vegetarian nonsense already.
-
you coudl spend your life eating vegetables, going to church, smiling and reading poetry and walking for miles daily...
and there will always be some prick who drinks, smokes, and bangs whores all day who outlives you.
Genetics.

The strange eating habits of Steve Jobs
By Melissa Dahl
No matter your opinion on the legacy of Steve Jobs, we can likely all agree on this: Dude had some unconventional health habits. The new biography by Walter Isaacson details some of the weirder ones, from extremely restrictive diets to questionable personal hygiene. (A personal favorite: One of his go-to stress relievers during Apple's early days was soaking his bare feet in the company toilets.)
We asked some nutrition experts to weigh in on some of the stranger, stricter eating habits of the legendary tech tycoon.
Apples-and-carrots only diet
The book details his occasional tendency to eat only one or two foods, like carrots or apples, for weeks at a time. Besides developing a sunset-like hue -- which those who worked with him are quoted as remembering -- there are other health issues that can come from adhering to such a limited diet, says Elisa Zied, registered dietitian and msnbc.com contributor.
"Although apples and carrots are healthful and provide carbohydrates, they have very little protein -- unlike fat and carbohydrates, protein can’t be stored in the body, so it’s important to consume enough protein rich foods each day," explains Zied, who's the author of the book, "Nutrition at Your Fingertips."
Protein provides the body with energy and structural support -- it also helps preserve lean muscle tissue that keeps your metabolism raring to go, and it supports muscle function. But if you don't take in enough protein, your body will miss out on essential amino acids, Zied says. "These essential amino acids are used to make body proteins ... that support growth and maintenance of body tissues."
Another drawback of a carrots- or apples-only diet: You aren't getting enough fat.
"Without enough dietary fat, your body’s fat stores can become depleted," Zied explains. "Your skin may suffer, you may feel more cold more often, and your organs and body tissues may be more vulnerable against injury -- especially risky for those with chronic illness."
Flirting with fruitarianism
Jobs also spent some time as a fruitarian, a subset of veganism that means eating only fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables and grains -- absolutely no animal products. "Basically, the reproductive parts of plants that can be consumed without doing any harm to the plant itself," TODAY nutritionist Joy Bauer explains. This kind of diet does contain some very healthy foods, and many vegans manage to keep extremely healthful diets. But experts caution that without a careful eating plan, essential nutrients may be missing.
advertisement
"This type of diet is extremely restrictive as it eliminates dairy foods ... and probably doesn’t contain enough dietary fat unless you’re eating lots of nuts and seeds," she explains. "And because the foods you can eat (or beverages you can drink) are so limited, you only get the nutrients provided in the specific foods."
Plus, it's an expensive diet to adhere to for a long period of time, Bauer points out.
Veganism and the tyranny of the daily shower
Jobs also believed that his commitment to vegan diets meant his body was flushed of mucus -- and that it meant he was free from body odor, so he didn't need to wear deodorant or shower regularly. Unsurprisingly, the book quotes former coworkers saying that he was very, very wrong.
Actually, the lack of complete proteins in vegan-style diets might impede the body's detoxification process, which "could make him smell even more," says JJ Virgin, nutrition expert and co-star of TLC's "Freaky Eaters." As for mucus -- Jobs may have had a point there. Dietary changes can help reduce the goo, especially for those who produce excessive mucus because of illness.
The agony and the ecstasy of fasting
Jobs would sometimes turn to fasting to create feelings of euphoria and ecstasy. What he was most likely experiencing was something called ketosis, which develops after a period of fasting and can lead to mild euphoria. When you're eating normally, glucose is the body's primary energy source, Zied explains. But when you're fasting, your body creates small chemicals called ketones that act as a substitute for glucose, and can be used for energy by most body cells.
"If your body makes more ketones than it needs to create energy, a dangerous condition called ketosis develops," Zied says. "This increases the loss of sodium and water from the body and can contribute to nausea, weakness, fatigue."
What do think of some of Jobs' more unusual eating habits? (And, hey -- keep it civil.) What's the weirdest diet you've ever tried?
-
Please someone just ban this moron Johnny Falcon, I'm fed up with his bullshit about vegetarians and stuff.
-
Actually Steve Jobs ate nearly EXACTLY like you at times. Fruit only at times.
And how'd that work out?
-
Johnny,
You are aware that there is a direct link between fruit juice and MANY types of Cancer as well as over-consumption of fruit.
-
And how'd that work out?
Probably led to his early demise actually. He was not too smart when it came to his health. Finally when he decided to go full force with the technological route with modern medicine, he was doing the correct thing but by then it was too late.
This probably could have been fixed if he wasn`t so stubborn early on and tried various batshit treatments for a year or two before focusing on the Science of Cancer and true medicine. He was a complete moron in that respect.
-
he didnt eat enough sugar thats why his pancreas failed, yes he ate some correct things but not nearly enough and not enough activity
did you also know that skinny people are more likely to die from a heart attack than a fat man
-
with all that $.... I would have found a way to convert my brain to work with some really cool iClone thing.
I'm sure they'll have them in 100 years, and the technology behind the scenes is always years ahead of what we see.
-
let me clarify many smokers suffer from pancreatic cancer. smokers especially eat alot less and are generally skinnier. there pancreas fails them if they dont get enough sugar, then they die. Steve jobs has been a very little fella, never enough calories never enough activity, you die young when you dont eat enough and do enough , of course there is variances because you can die from anything. he shouldve tried to gain weight by being a vegetarian. but he was keeping himself too small and malnourished
steve jobs probably had 2 apples a day and some celary. that shit will kill you eating barely nothing your body shuts down
-

Sugar is precisely what cancerous tumors feed and grow on. Its the worst possible thing to ingest when one has cancer especially.

adonis i would rather you argue with your own words instead of copy pasting dumb speculative shit. you do realize what i highlighted is completley false dont you?

It was genetic.
-
It was genetic.
And it could have been taken care of if he wasn`t such a moron early on.
-
I disagree, he would have died from it anyway.
-
Sugar is precisely what cancerous tumors feed and grow on. Its the worst possible thing to ingest when one has cancer especially.
if you dont have sugar your body shuts down and less effeciently. Metabolism goes way down
you need sugar, sugar will create an acidic environment, sugar creates a need for calcium in the body to break it down in order for your body to sustain a PH that is comfortable
if not enough calcium is present it draws upon bone marrow
this is why people take tums when they have indigestion , tums is calcium
.................
people that sit around too fucking much regardless of weight just wont live as long as someone more active and eats right
-
I disagree, he would have died from it anyway.
Most likely not as time is critical and he chose batshit methods such as acupuncture and fruit diets for the first 1-2 years without seeking real treatment. Furthermore ALL CANCER is genetic, the trick is to not engage in behavior or habits that will turn on specific genes to produce such mutations and also, if the mutations are present and cancer cells are growing, to not feed them and destroy them as early as possible.
Steve Jobs behavior, diet and environment could have contributed to "turning on" his cancer. Steve Jobs parents are both still alive and I am not sure there is a medical history of his type of cancer in his family. I will have to read his Biography.

adonis why dont you comment on the part i highlight from the cut and paste argument, wich is so blatently false. This is not a good road you are traveling if you ingore lies even when slapped in the face with it. Show some humility man!

Trouble in paradise?

Shut the fuck up with your vegetarian nonsense already.
X2 The man was a Heavyweight champion and top contender who got in the ring with guys like Ali, Foreman, Jerry Quarry and Bob Foster...all of who were capable of sending him into a coma at any given moment during a fight.
I'm sure the last thing on his mind was high dose olive oil diets.
-
I agree with this totally. Its a place where one goes when everyone has given up on you and no doctors or anyone care to try any last ditch efforts. Fuck that.
He has no money that is why he is being left to die.
My wife's mother has had cancer for years but my wife is an MD with connections and money so she has lived 3 years longer than expected on mainly experimental drugs. Cost has been over 300k.

What the fuck are you talking about? Who in the hell is worshipping him?? I personally wrote two lines showing respect for a man who had a big impact and gave some hope to many young up and coming boxers in the Philly area, gave back to his community and was loved by his community, and who has a family who adores him.
I'm sure if YOU came down with some type of horrible disease (God forbid) there would be alot of people on here that showed their respects to you as well.

do you really think people should give a shit if some man is lucky enough to get the once in a life time chance to be a heavyweight champion?
theres alot of fighters in this world and none of them ever get the chance to prove it
-
Hahahaha
we can post a pic at the same time how bout it stud
im in alot better shape then you. you are approaching 30 and realizing meat eating isnt really working out for you, especially since you are a lifetime natural, but it still isnt cutting it for you in terms of maintaining size

I`m approaching 5 percent buddy and am 184.3 lbs right now. I`m around 8-9 percent. Leanest I have ever been at this weight. I`m going to post a picture when I deem I am at my absolute best. I don`t have much longer to go and have been at 2500 calories eating as I please. Eating meat is a great thing, I choose to rotate my protein sources as we cook different recipes all the time.
Two days ago we had a 5 lb Chuck Eye Roast and made Hungarian Beef Stew with Egg Noodles. I love all protein sources!

I agree. The article should state that Vegetarian diets are limiting and not efficient when it comes to Amino Acid profiles, but can be complete if attention is paid to doing so.

you cant even retort on the fallacy of your copy and paste post on top of that you have zero confidence to post a current pic. If i were to take a pic right now i would be leaner but not at my best shape but i wouldnt be making pussy ass excuses why i couldnt post a pic. Easy there. I thought of you a lot today actually as I was priming my rear deck with Oil and was meaning to ask you if you thin your oil primer at all with mineral spirits. Its going on so thick that I am blowing through cans of paint like no tomorrow.
This week is a going to be a great paining week.

never thin your paints , unless you were paitining johnnay falcon on a canvas then yes thinner paint would come in handy.
on decks you want to slap on as much paint as possible , im sure it ate the paint right up since since most wood on decks are rather porous

I Still have a lot to prime and I`ve spent probably around 18 hours so far. I then have to go over it all with Gloss White and then for the floor and the steps I am using Australian Timber Oil in Mahogany Flame to highlight the Wood Grain. I really hope I can get it all done by this week.

so your painting all the railings n stuff but staining the flooring and steps of the deck?. youll need some sort of oil based polyeurathane to seal in that stain. you could go with a satin polyeurathane if you dont want the steps and flooring to be to glossy, not sure what look you prefer

Yah I`m thinking some sort of Spar Varnish.
This is the look I am going for. Like a wooden boat deck almost.

Yah I`m thinking some sort of Spar Varnish.
This is the look I am going for. Like a wooden boat deck almost.
On the right.

hope the the varnish turns out well but im pretty sure its going to go on thin as fuck, ive always done hardwoods first by sanding , then stain wait a couple days then put on the polyeurathane. ive never tried a varnish though im suspecting its thinner then the polyeurathane. i think poly is probably a few times thicker than varnish
-
did a search and found complaints with the varnish cause it goes on to thin.
kinda like those cheap "americas finest" brand paints they sell at home depot, they are like fucking water paint they dont cover shit. they dont compare to glidden or behr

I am thinking a high grade Polyurethane. Some people don`t even use a varnish or a Polyurethane with the Timber Oil, but I want a somewhat glossy look.

you need a protective coat of poly IMO . get a semi gloss or gloss OIL BASED poly. first try with semi gloss if you dont like semi gloss or if not enough glossy for you then next coat put on gloss. you should wait a day or 2 in between coats. its probably best wait 3 days. make sure your shoes are nice and clean before you step on the deck to apply your coats or youll leave footprints and tracks

Frazier was an old school tough as nails guy who would snap 99.99% of you cage warriors in seconds.

dude tries hard to make himself into xfactor and alex23, two of getbig's REAL financial rollers. don't give him more fuel, telling him he can afford low price - free labor from his fraudulent trust fund.

Always liked Frazier. Always a workman, never a showboat. Shame his old Stern interviews aren't up, He was always entertaining, especially discussing the Ali fights.

fought in an era where heavyweight boxing mattered and the personalities were as colorful as the fighters themselves.grace and power,,

When I was in grade school they were calling Ali vs Frazier the biggest fight of all time. Frazier will always be one of the top legends of the sport. I still have his autograph that I got as a kid. A lot of people don't know that when Ali was banned from boxing Frazier was quick to give him money. When Ali called him a gorilla and an uncle tom it drove Frazier nuts.
