"F*ck me! 2 other guys died at the hotel yesterday apparently! We got told this morning three guys have now died... I know guys are pushing things to the limit but I think the added heat and sh#t food really contributed to those guys going over the edge...1 guy after weigh in + 2 guys died after prejudging at the hotel.. One of the waiters/server guys us..

WTF :o

Saw it. First guy was 28 years old. My guess is that there's a little more to the story.
-
another two?
where the source?

RIP
(Mahmoud Ibrahim Alhdidi )

death in a common theme in 2011 for bbing
am i right?
-
another two?
where the source?
yes, a reliable source, (A spectator and friend of mine who is with the South African Team and staying at the Hotel) the Hotel staff told him this morning two more guys had passed away after pre judging. I don't think there has been any official press release yet.

thanks.
But I hope its not true.
-
Maybe someone dealt shitty diuretics just before the show.
-
These guys are so dry they look great.........unless they die from it.
Fucking shame.
-
They're out there on the front doing battle and dying for us, now that's hardcore
-
At least they looked quite ripped for about 16 hours, that's worth it right?
-
Now cue in for FLEX Magazine to run an editorial about how all of them had congenital heart defects and that this does not have anything to do with PEDs which, by the way, are "a part of all sports and not just bodybuilding".

Realistically though flex can't exactly print the truth now can it?
Diuretic abuse is rife in bodybuilding, a junior competitor at our nationals this year ended up hospitalised over it, so imagine the lengths pros and guys at this level go to to shed last bit of water
-
Perhaps this is why the IFBB and NPC moved away from extreme conditioning.
During the 90s you were always hearing about such and such and diuretics.
Had this happened stateside it wouldnt have been good at all of NPC or IFBB...Matter of fact very, very bad.

No they can't. I was just making a joke because, every time a bodybuilder dies, FLEX always says that they had some congenital health problems that caused the death. It is never the drugs. And then they follow that statement by reminding us that there is more drug use in other sports besides bodybuilding.

damn, dude looks like he's dying in the pic... not trying to be funny cuz its a fucking shame, but he looks awful ( healthwise) in that pic.. looks like an AIDS patient
-
will not change a thing, next yr contestants will look the same dry, ripped to bone,if nobody passes away then 'it's see it was a fluke year'last year.
-
yes, but he died with a good body.
-
RIP

wont recover
-
wow......just wow

If this is in fact true, it is blatantly due to excessive diuretic use. Look at these guys!! They have been on diuretics for 4+weeks!!!! You just simply can't deplete your wate, potassium, and sodium level for that long and expect to live to tell about it.
We sit here complimenting these guys on how they have better condition than the guys in the IFBB, but guess what?? 3 guys are not dying per IFBB show!! Sad, really sad :( :(
-
they died for us bitches
-
world bbing survivor champs, this is like a reality show
its fucking ridiculous, and not really funny, its a shame
3 deaths in a competition, is gonna have a negative media impact guaranteed
I wonder whats gonna be blamed and banned next, due to a few gurus and individuals recklessness
-
did they have the same 'guru'?
-
Since it happened outside the US and is an amateur competition there will be no mention of it.
-
I'd hate to be the one to ask but ...were the glutes at least striated ?

WTF :o
what can you blaim, it's in India, one of the shittiest country in the world
:-X
-
the natural reaction is the diuretics, or some protocol they followed (no fluids, nutrients for long periods), etc
but, it is in a country with extreme heat, known for very bad food poisoning to outsiders... I know its far fetched, but could be something in the water, food...? :-\

I think its a combination of heat, no fluids in the body and diuretics, these guys are playing a dangerous game for no money.
-

If no one ever did anything involving risk and just laid safe in their beds, we would all still live in stone age.
Stupid comments. People with passion do whatever is required.
-
media impact? what media impact, nobody but bodybuilders gives a shit
-
the worlds is known for the excessive use of "water elimination".. people love the coditioning these guys bring but to get there they go very overboard in regards to fat burners and diuretics..
-
Maybe India diuretics are over dosed too? This is odd. Or maybe India bodybuilders are hardcore drug users?
-
I think its a combination of heat, no fluids in the body and diuretics, these guys are playing a dangerous game for no money.
As if money was worth dying for? ::)

To what use is money when you're dead?
-
athletes die every time, look at racing sports, two dudes just died in car/moto crashes last month too,
business as usual, another day at the office, nothing to see here folks, move along.

Bad analogy. In racing sports they know the risks and what could happen. Bodybuilding is totally different. EVERYTHING is an experiment and nothing is concrete. This could have been avoided with a little commonsense.
-
theyre playing for status, that's what we and every other organism plays for at all times

Anyone know where Milos was at the time these events occured?

Exactly.

He doesn't look hard at all neither. Great diuretic tactic employed there ::)

Same could be said about space flights for example!!!
No one guaranteed first guys they would come back. No one. And many indeed blew to atoms.
They sat on top of huge rocket and wished the best.
Are you suggesting space exploring should have never begun ???
-
idiots

Your logic is quite childish. It's all relative. I think we can all agree that space exploration is really fucking cool and does a lot of good in terms of science etc. Pumping your body full of water manipulating drugs and risk death so you can feed your own narcissism is not really that important in the bigger picture.
Astronauts and cosmonauts take mankind to were its never been before and they make a shit ton of money while doing it. Bodybuilders usually are nothing but drug addicts making little to no money and contribute next to nothing to society.

Yea, maybe not the best comparison but point is.. someone always has to push it forward. To see what happens, to experiment.
Someone in history took the first bite of that deadly poisonous mushroom.
Someone as a first one put his hand in fire to realize it burns.
-

Those two things still in a way contribute to society. It's knowledge that can be useful for survival or prolonging life.
What does hardcore drug abuse contribute to society? They're obviously free to do whatever they want but don't be surprised when people call them idiots.

Curry...definitely curry.

bbing going wrong.
i'm fat bloated and alive.

Amy word on an autopsy to see if there was a common cause of death?

No it cannot. The research, science and testing involved are second to none.

That is one sorry case of anorexic ferret face if ever there were one. WTF is so hard about standards that are attainable in a healthy way? FFS, this is just a leaner version of death that that displayed by Coleslaw, Gutler and BallonBoyİ Phul Health.
They didn't just die "needlessly", they died stupidly.
Fuck that noise.

Canadian Nats?
Was backstage for that, they took way too long to get that lad on a stretcher and out the door too...
No fucking need for someone lying backstage for an hour or so who needs an IV asap
-
media impact? what media impact, nobody but bodybuilders gives a shit
some blogger or freelance/unemployed journo may pick up story, and next thing you know its on the little scrolling bar on cnn, and some guy running for office somewhere sees it, uses it to campaign, and one or two voters send letters to the FDA, next thing you know, cell tech is banned!
because of our dehydrated arab brothers

WTF :o
my guess is the water got the best of them.....when you are in an emaciated state like they are, your immune system is not functioning at tit's highest level....and combine that with the bad water, its easy to get poisoning from bacteria and other shit like that
-
Bodybuilding is for junkies. ;)

Their potassium levels I'm sure is what done them in. Too much or too little K+ can cause arrhythmia's and eventually a massive MI if not intervened on or if they go to far out of range Normal levels are 3.5-5.0 you don't have a lot of wiggle room and abusing which I'm most certainly sure they were on loop diuretics is pill Russian roulette.
-

it's not on no scrolling nothing on cnn, you know how many things go unreported, how mant times corpses are found close to mexican border, how many rapes occur, people still get killed for being black or gay but they only report it when they think it will sell newspapers or get people to watchthe channel, nobody gives a shit about amateur bodybuilders, that's that. sorry they died, but this is not going to get a mention in anything most likely. some blog or whatever may have space to fill, but that's that, beyond filling up space this story wont get reported
-
Yep,
Was being sarcastic re cnn
It is a cult sport, so it gets swept under carpet
-
Religion of peace ::)
-
Have they definitely ruled out terrorism?

...names of other 2 dead bodybers ? :-X, still nothing on the www.ifbb.com ?? :o, "loved" IFBB statement WELCOME TO IFBB (& die) ;D

No. It is from the mind of a talentless punk ass nobody. Kinda sorta the Picasso of his day. But... Just as there are both positive and negative reinforcement for the treatment of all manner of behavioral problems, so too does the art world have its methods to make us all appreciate the true masters.
Van Gogh and Picasso are both classic examples of negative reinforcement in art appreciation but alas, much like the phenomenon of people who can't sing buying albums by people who can't sing because they "identify" with them, so too do some "patrons" of the art world actually claim to like dross such as you have presented here. They can't paint either.

LMAO. your criticism woulb be valid if the painting i posted were an avant guard piece of abstract impressionistic art which really had no value and no special insight or representation of the world there in, but the one i posted is an incredible masterpiece. i have exceptional taste in art.. and i despise pieces without value. your opinion reeks of one depserate for recognition without an ability to recognize others. yes, detail and accuracy are also very worthy. but let me appease you... i didnt use such a style on purpouse, its just one of my more favored paintings... the point was addressing a criticism of bodybuilders who use drugs to reach levels of development unattainable otherwise... saying that there objective did not contribute to society... and i wonder if lovemonkey holds that same opinion about pieces of art.. do they also not contribute to society ? what say you, does this piece contirbute to society ?

it's dangerous to impose yourself like that; to declare what is "art" and decide what holds value
if a piece evokes such emotion in you, to make you despise something, then surely there is value in that, no?

lol.. um... no cuz it wouldnt be a feeling when i saw the painting but a feeling late ron when i think of the artist who made it and the people who think its art... i took an art appreciation class from a wonderful old lady who had a phd in art history and she was just fabulous at explaining , but not forcing, her idea of what is true art and what is not. i think most art critics hold the same opinion.
heres a good clip from a movie called local color, you should really watch it if you like art
