Here's PEA BRAIN's response for you...its been repeated 10,000+ times already on getbig:

I'll support anyone who can get this communist, Kenyan, Muslim, traitor, bent on destroying America out of office. I would support a Madoff/Van Der Sloot ticket over this guy guy. In other words, even a child molesting serial killer would be better...they couldn't do worse than what Maobama has done.

there are similarities for sure, but there are BIG differences, and they are getting bigger as the repubes become more extreme

If you believed your line of thinking in 2000 and lived in Florida, if you voted you probably voted for Nader. You effectively put in one of the dumbest presidents in history into the Oval Office in George "Dubya" Bush. We would not have invaded Iraq, losing 4000+ Americans and killing 100,000+ Iraqis if Gore were president.

Stalwart republicans like Goldwater, Nixon and Reagan could not be elected dog catcher of the republican party of today.

Do you agree that there is no need for any federal assistance after a natural disaster

If the state or municipality can't handled the problem then just tough titties for them?

Yes.  We grew to be the most powerful nation well before we had all these useless agencies.

Remember how great FEMA was during Katrina?

Sadly  Ron Paul is NOT tied in with the big $$ lobby groups so they push hard to keep him out.

like any federal agency it's only as good and the POTUS at the time as well as the person running the agency

how do you arrive at the conclusion that FEMA is "useless"

Your man Chris Christie was forthright about needing/wanting help from FEMA earlier this year during Hurricane Irene

Well, if Federal Taxes were drastically lower and not needed to send to DC for these stupid agencies, the states would have more resources to deal with stuff.

FEMA is a waste, just like DOE, Commerce Dept., Department of Labor, NEA, etc.

if you actually looked at policy and the effects their economic policy had rather than their rhetoric, obama is further to the right than george w bush, the so called "dumbest presidents [sic]"

i didnt vote for nader, i wouldn't vote for nader and i don't care about nader but george w bush won solely on electoral fraud, in both his elections so nader is irrelevant here. however you are an idiot so you can continue believing whatever propaganda put forth by the establishment that there is an imperative to vote democratic even though the democrats and republicans differ only in rhetoric and their policy are exactly the same

Probably because you are a dimwit who is not knowledgeable either on the issues or the political stance of those whom are running.  ::)
In any event, Nader was espousing the EXACT same thing you stated in your previous post, so your lack of interest in his agenda in 2000 is helpful in revealing your lack of insight.

Quote

WRONG  ::)
There are those who attempt to say otherwise, but without Nader on the ballot in Florida, I believe Bush would not have been able to steal the election. The vote difference would have been too great. Bush won after the ballot recount by roughly 540 votes. Nader received approximately 97, 500 votes from predominately liberal democrat voters. You do the math.

I have FORGOTTEN more about politics than you currently know, son. I work on Wall Street...I know that the major financial institutions have their hands in on both sides of the aisle. I have sat in on both democrat and republican fundraisers held primarily for bankers, hedge fund managers, and other wealthy New York power brokers. So in that sense, yes, both parties are beholden to the many of the same corporate interests.

Yet...the democrats believe in a social safety net. The republicans don't. This means things like welfare, unemployment insurance, social security for the elderly, medicaid for the poor and medicare for the elderly would not exist if the republicans had their way. I'm sure you've heard Ronald Reagan's 1960's ad commercial railing against Medicare by now, haven't you? It is on youtube for your perusal.

Democrats by and large believe in a progressive tax. Republicans until recently did too, but more and more we are seeing republicans speak out in favor of a flat tax...a veritable windfall tax break for the wealthiest Americans.

Democrats fought the fight to make many Civil Rights laws a reality, making things better for women and minorities. The republicans fought tooth and nail to keep the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act, and institutions like the EEOC from becoming a reality.

The democrats are at the forefront of improving life for gay Americans in the military and in the workplace. The republicans by and large have been fighting against these measures.

I could go on an on...but of course I am an "idiot", and none of these things matter. They are simply "rhetoric"...both parties are exactly the same.  ::)

I voted for Dr Paul in the 2008 primary and then Obama for Pres in the general election.
Sadly  Ron Paul is NOT tied in with the big $$ lobby groups so they push hard to keep him out.

And therein lies what is wrong with our political system.  It's 100% controlled by big $$ and special interest.

You cant name a single thing Obama has done to fix anything, or in fact has not taken a bad situation and made it drastically worse.

Explain further, so that I can systematically dismantle and destroy your languid and inept argument.
WRONG  ::)
You do the math.

idiot
*yawn*  ::)

fucking imbecile

you admit that both parties, the democrats and the republicans, are corrupt and servicing the interests of the bankers and the wealthy and from this you draw the  conclusion that... you need to support the democrats because they are the lesser evil? what kind of logic is that? you are willingly and purposely supporting a political party that you know is working to do further harm to you. there is something wrong with your brain.

PATHETIC

That's the best retort you could come up with?  ??? You didn't even come close to responding to my assertions or laying out any specifics to further clarify your own. The policies that I clearly laid out in my post show that I do not believe the dems are "the lesser evil." Perhaps those gains and laws don't mean much to you, but they certainly mean a lot to me and a hell of a lot of people I know, and I suspect a lot of people YOU know as well.  ;)

Go jerk off into a sock and then go to sleep you blockhead, as you usually spend your evenings. Politics is clearly not for you. You lack the knowledge or the intellect to engage in a substantive debate with me, and therefore are a waste of my time. At least PEA BRAIN is entertaining in his stupidity. ;D
