Title: BiGHer Off-Season-Progress 11-11-11
Post by: BiGHer on November 11, 2011, 02:28:36 PM
As my off season continues, I still seem to be tightening up and losing a little bit of weight even though I'm eating like a house.  I'm 245 in these photo's, 5'10" is my height.  My back still needs a lot of improvement as my lats look weak in the Front poses, BUT it has come up quite a bit since my last progress update.

I definitely want feedback and any feedback is useful, and since it's the thunderdome, I know I look like shit and yes I hope this helps!  ;D

Very good physique - waist is very tight for your size and with a bit more chest/back thickness and back width you'd have a killer physique imo. Quads and hams look very good, so props on that. :)

What is your diet and training like?

Diet: I eat, A LOT haha.

Today:

Meal 1: 1 quart liquid egg whites (drank this), 3 cans Pineapple Juice, 2 Donuts, and Medium Iced Coffee

Meal 2: 10 oz. Tilapia, 1 Cup (Dry Measure) White Rice

Meal 3: (Post Workout): 10 oz. Tilapia, 2 Cans Pineapple Juice, 1 piece of coffee cake

I'll have 3 more meals before I sleep tonight.  Most likely they will be:

12 oz. Beef, 1 cup (Dry Measure) White Rice

10 oz. Tilapia, 1 cup (Dry Measure) Oat Meal

1 Quart Liquid Egg Whites (Drink This), 1 Pint of Ice Cream

If i want snacks or other food in between, I won't hold back either.

Today would be an example of a good day of eating.  I don't shy away from cravings though and haven't had a day with less than 4 meals this off season.  I make it a point to go High Pro/High Card, low-moderate fat.  Egg Whites are a staple, but I make sure to get protein from 2 different sources of whole food each day (Egg Whites and Chicken or Egg Whites and Fish or beef, etc.)

Training split is 2 days on 1 day off.  0 cardio although I need to start doing some because I have thrown up during my last 2 leg sessions.  I lift heavy with a rep range of 6-10 usually, but switch it up and go 8-12 or 10-15 depending on the muscle group.  I just make sure I keep the intensity high.

You need some ice cream (has to be reese's).

yeah more chest and back + biceps

also try not to make forearms any bigger (as far as possible) so think about biceps exercise selection and technique. I think looking into some of bob chicks videos could be a good idea for some bicep training tips.  so don't do any direct forearm training.

good structure, look a lot better from the front than the back, if anything id say pound the hell out of the whole rear side of your body, quads are definitley a strong point, thick chest, work on that back thickness and width and a lot more hams.

his build reminds me of a local competitor from around here, great frontal "show" muscles but when he turns around he disappears, GREAT structure in terms of tiny waist size in spite of the enormous amount of food he eats, very good capped shoulders, very good quads, dude needs hamstring thickness and back thickness pronto.

You know what I think the crowd would really appreciate? A full set of glute shots. Can't judge a physique much without them.

I think you're doing yourself a disservice by delaying them any further. Sluuuurp!

Yes my back side needs a lot of work, although I don't think my RDB pose is that bad.    My waist has tightened up a lot due to gh, but also, about 4 months ago I started trainging with a weight belt during every session to relieve compression on my mid section and this has actually helped tremendously as well.

Excellent, my plan was to start using 15iu sometime in the next couple of months and blast it like that for 90-120 days with some high dose long esthers.

675 mgs/week Test... NPP/Tren combo is good.  Deca definitely gives me a fuller, more bloated look, but the nice muscle building of nandrolone without the deca esther and tren is solid because it's more lean muscle.

I'll definitely keep that in mind.  I don't train forearms at all, but I also only use wraps on back day because they help me feel a better squeeze in my lats.  All the bare handed gripping of free weights could be the culprit of making my forearms grow.  Maybe I'll have to switch to using some more machines for better isolation   :-\

yeah your forearms overpower your biceps. i think i said it earlier in the thread, i'm getting senile. bob chick has some good advice regarding this issue. look into his war of the world series or the dvd he did. but yeah basically you need to avoid a death grip on biceps exercises and also keep a flat wrist and machines can be good as you say.

Looking good, bro.  Especially with only 5iu.  My goal is to try and get up to 240 this offseason but I'm only 5'7''.  Diet looks good, although I'm not even close to being ready to eat fish again.

Try to emphasize some lower lat movements. Hammer strength pullover machine, supinated pull downs, etc.

3 Grams total AAS and 5 iu/day gh.

Test, Tren, EQ, and NPP are my current main anabolics.

oh my god, no wonder

do you ever include any "junk" meals or fast food, Big GH?

Yes, but I try not to make a habbit of it.  I did have McDonalds today.  Ice Cream is almost daily.  Oh hgh you just won't get fat... add in tren and you need to eat some junk just to give your body the caloric support to grow.  There's also a great All-you-can-eat sushi place not far from me that I try to go in on a couple times a week.

Both these quotes are very helpful and I agree.  I have been doing those things ever since I finished my last show and the improvements I have made can be credited there.

hmm, i don't know it's just something i can tell when looking at someone due to experience, i suppose. i just glanced at the small version of the pictures and it was readily apparent but i looked at them again in full size and your water retention isn't too bad, probably mostly from deca which you can't do much about aside from dropping the deca. mast will help a tiny bit with the bloat from the test, but if you are just focused on mass right now i'd throw in d-bol/a-50 instead, lol. make sure you blood pressure isn't too high since you're holding a bit of water and running tren.

BIGHER, I just ran across this post and have not had a chance to read it all yet, but YOU have a hell of a lot of great potential to reach the top and it doesn't look like you need too much encouragement from any of us to get the job done.

Good luck to you in your efforts!

Not sure if you responded to any of the following questions but maybe you can save me a couple of minutes time by answering the following:

a. WHat contests have you already competed in? How did you do?
b. What contests do you plan to compete in within the next 16 months? What wt class?
c. How high do you plan to take your bodywt during your off season?
d. What do you expect your  bodywt to be at your next contest?
e. How tall are ya?
f. Have you received any publicity in any of the national magazinres?

Thank, Bigher .... Stunt

a. WHat contests have you already competed in? How did you do?

Competed once in a regional show, 9th in heavy class

b. What contests do you plan to compete in within the next 16 months? What wt class?

I'll compete again around this time next year, I want to make sure ample improvements are made.  Heavy or Super heavy depending.

c. How high do you plan to take your bodywt during your off season?

My weight has been as high as 260 this offseason.  245 now but at 7-8%.  I'm also on drugs that keep you leaner.  I'm going to switching to longer esthers soon and high GH doses and I'll take my weight as high as I can without going above 1012%.  265-270 maybe?  We'll see.

d. What do you expect your  bodywt to be at your next contest?

No clue.  All depends on look.

e. How tall are ya?

5'10"

f. Have you received any publicity in any of the national magazinres?

NO, I am a part of a fitness modeling agency and have done some shoots.  No g4p, sorry Bay and the rest of you.  ;D

You seem to be asking a lot of #'s questions.  I don't like to be that technical.  If I plan to do a show and the show comes and I'm not happy with how I look, I'm not going to step on stage.  If I go to the gym and feel I want to lift heavier that day because I have more energy, maybe more calories, etc... I do.  I don't worry about the scale much.  I weigh 245, but so do some IFBB pro's, 245 looks a lot different sometimes doesn't it?  Like Shawn Ray said:

"On a bodybuilding stage, a judge has never asked me about how much I can lift, how much I weighed, and what my bf % was.  All they cared about was how I looked." - I kind of feel the same the same way.  I train, take the necessary drugs, and eat the way I do to feed my competitive drive and win bodybuilding competitions.

Thanks man... That's just genetics.  Fat Italian construction working quads! haha.  My old man has been in a wheel chair for 18 years and still has bigger wheels than some people I see out there!  I do train them hard though, no slacking in the gym.

Also, although I've only competed once, weight training has been a regular part of my life for 10 years.  Only 2 of which have been on gear so I got love for the naturals too... not all you who lie about it though!  >:( lol

how many calories are you getting a day?

just asking because that's a lot of tren and also aas so you could probably use some more along with some slin if you aren't already.

Never touched Slin.  I understand that it eventually will be a must, but I want to build as much as I can off AAS and GH before going that route.

I don't Calorie count, but I eat A LOT.  If I had to estimate, I'm averaging 4,000 per day.  I definitely have days that are higher and eat more junk and some days where it's lower.  I work a lot and it is off-season so I try to give my self somewhat of a mental break and not go crazy weighing every single meal and stressing every gram of protein.  I do make sure I eat though.  It's not often that I have less than 5 meals per day.  6-7 is more regular for me.
