Brady taught that overrated putz how to spike a football.
-
Early on it looked like the NFL really wasn't a true passing game(in this Pats/Denver game) And then as things settled down, things were as they were supposed to be. I don't think Denver will win another game here on out.
-
Brady spiked the ball in Denver. In doing so he showed who The Man is, right in Tebow's house. He ruined Tebow.

Can't find Joe Montana's combine picture. He was listed at 6'2 210 but some say he was lucky to be 6 feet 200 pounds.

This is hilarious ;D

Really?
Next two games: @ Buffalo, KC.
If the Broncos beat the Chiefs, they win the AFC West.
-
You can bet "The Abdominal Snowman" has never won a football pool in his life.
Probably the most stupid thing written on this board all day. Which is saying something.
-

And Tebow still gave Glory to God and gave credit to where credit was do! Class act!
-
broncos would make playoffs if they won out, right? and Orteon facing Tebow in week 17 with a playoff game on the line would rock!
Still, they went 7-1 on pure emotion. I could see them going 0-3 to end the season on that same lack of emotion.

Jesus was busy yesterday.

Buffalo will not be a pushover and KC just took care of Green Bay, so we must admit that KC has a few decent things going on... Defense being one of them.

excellent, i wonder what tebow thought when he saw this.

KC has a new coach and just beat Green Bay. And Buffalo is better than the record they have. Whats so stupid about a team like Denver with next to zero offence losing to these two teams.
-
What an odd journey it will be...
If tebow ends the season 0-3, and Elway CUTS HIM.
-

Buffalo is 4 and 3 at home. And no team likes to go to Buffalo this time of year. Bills could easily win that game. And with Romeo's defensive mind, KC could easily have a plan to stop Tebow.

Who the fuck plays football pools ::) The early line on the Denver game is Denver at -2. lol. That's because Vegas knows how hard it is to go into Buffalo and win handedly. They aren't even giving Denver a field goal. Buffalo has lost 7 straight. Yet Denver is only giving 2 points.
Patriots were 7 1/2 point favorites going into Denver. A place they hardly ever win and the Patriots end up winning by 19. ::) Tebow will have his hands full in Buffalo.
-
Wow... i'm watching the tebow audio on the Chicago game. It's not helping his cause.
Aside from the fact that the coaches and players keep coddling him "you okay?"
Can you IMAGINE 8 nuthuggers asking Peyton if he's "okay" while he's looking at charts of field coverage?
Then singing "our god is a good god" on the sideline - I'm fine with his religion, but people are trying to feed him plays and he's singing.
Finally, he speaks like an 80 IQ idiot, repeating the same phrases over and over with that silly half wit grin. I do believe he's a virgin, I do believe he's a mental simpleton.
So I admire his winning attitude, I respect that he supports God in such a way. But I think he's gonna fizzel fast. I don't hate him because he's religious, but I do dislike him just for being so annoying and such a damn silly simpleton when he speaks.
-
He's Forest Gump. If used right he is extremely valuable.
-
good point. can be a great spokesman for some group. But yeah, total forest gump. I didn't know he was so socially 'simple' like that.

Where was his defensive mind, when Tebow ran wild all over the Chiefs and toss one of the easiest TDs he'll ever throw?
In fact, the Broncos' win over the Chiefs was one of the few in which Tebow needed no fourth-quarter heroics, because the Broncos led the entire time.

The Dolphins just dismantled the Bills in Buffalo, in the snow, as Reggie Bush gashed them for over 200 yards. Can they stop McGahee and Bell?
-
u dumb asses, Tebow is young and still learning & growing, he is not going anywhere Elway see the potential and will continue to help him grow, in 5 years you schmucks will be eating your words, there is a reason why he is the MOST talked about athlete in sports right now.

Tebow is almost 25. He's been working on his throwing for the NFL for 3 years now and its no better than when he started. His foot work can get better. But natural throwing ability can't. He takes much to long to get rid of the ball. And he throws a lousy ball. The spin ration is god awful. Michael Vick had a tremendous season last year and there's still many in the NFL who think Mike Vick is in the wrong position. And lets be honest, Tebow isn't half the QB that MV is. Tebow is a tank for sure. But he is one hit away(out of the pocket) from being in a wheel chair.
-
Tebow is a runningback. He is not, nor will ever be, a Tom Brady.
-
We love the guy, he got us 2 championships... but it's Run Forest Run, not pass...

Buffalo beat up Tebow 40 to 14. Tebow 4 INT's.

on a side note: take romo's ability to throw on the run, w/ sanchez's competitiveness, & teabow's soul - u get a QB that could back up aaron rodgers.

Seriously tho, Tebow is like the spice girls. we'll all be embarassed when we find that tebow jersy in 5 years, just like we are when our chick finds the spice girls cd in our closet, and we have to make up a fake affair to explain it "I guess my mistress left it here..."
I haven't seen NFL yet today - who did tebow play, how did he do?
-
Hey Coach, did Jesus take this weekend off because of the Christmas holidays?

He got raped by the Bills 4 ints. 40-14.

Clearly God is testing tebow with defeat. There is no other possible explanation.

I believe he has been in the NFL for only 2 years (this being his second.) It is not his throwing motion, but his footwork at this point. He is a better passer now then when he came into the NFL.
-
He got raped by the Bills 4 ints. 40-14.
no way he's the starter next year.
with tony romo at the helm (or anyone who could throw) denver would be kicking some ass right now.
Tebow had a cool belief streak going, but that was build on emotion. And when the emotion goes the other way (2 bad losses in a row) it ain't pretty.
Look for the broncos to draft RGBIII in the draft if he's available... or even better a QB that can throw traditional.
-
Hey Coach, did Jesus take this weekend off because of the Christmas holidays?
Hey "LittleJ"...did you see the post game press conference were he totally PWNES atheists everywhere? hahahaha.
-

I disagree. His motion is problematic. He takes longer to release than a QB in the NFL should.

what did tebow say?
honestly, i've heard religious men make very convincing arguments, and i've heard athiests like hutchins make very convincing arguments.
I'm thoroughly convinced that they're both using man-made logic to explain something beyond the comprehension of our gray matter.
when we die, we'll figure it out, or we won't. We don't know anything.

This.
Both are equally hypocritical, its a very real possibility we will NEVER know the truth, as we may simply not have the mental capacity to understand.
Everything we theorize is based on OUR own comprehension of things....
Its based on what we know as humans.

all of these jesus people are quiet now...

The interesting thing about the Tebow fiasco is the guy is a serious fucking football player. And if the right guy got into his head, would probably be a Hall of Famer as a tight end. But instead, everyone is kissing his ass and is going to let him go down in flames. I'm gonna go out on a limb right now and say that Tebow's ego is so large, that he may have it in him to fake a career ending injury so he doesn't have to burn in flames. I'm sensing a possible Brian Bosworth crash and burn and Tebow hitting the big screen in 5 years. I hope i'm wrong and he moves positions and becomes a serious force. The religious BS aside, I think the guy is most likely a really good fucking dude. But the Ego is a crazy thing. Its almost its own entity.
-
It's gods plan to make tebow lose these last few games.

-
He seems like a genuinely good guy, but sadley his 15 mins of fame might be up :-\
We'll see next season
-
What ego?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ego_psychology
If he didn't have a massive Ego, he would have not feed into the college lure that is Tim Tebow. He could have easily not feed the giant many years ago. If you see the devilish smirt on his face when people mention it, its easy to see that he really feeds off everyone loving his persona. And make no mistake, it is a persona.
-
Hey "LittleJ"...did you see the post game press conference were he totally PWNES atheists everywhere? hahahaha.
he didn't PWN atheists at all...he didn't make any comments that pwned anyone. naturally, you would think he did because you're as delusional as he is.
-
the option does not work in the nfl
-
What ego?
The ego works in many different ways. Bums on the street are said to have massive egos. Rape victims are often controlled by their ego. The ego isn't what most people think it is. Some even think its the devil him/herself.
-
I really want to see how matt barkley does in the NFL, but thats until next season
-

Dude, being an atheist yourself you have know how bad his faith gets under your skin. Take a look at Narcissistic Deity and just see how he flips out. There's millions more just like him.
-

His faith doesn't get under my skin at all. He can believe whatever he wants to. I just wanted to make it clear that his post speech didn't PWN anyone. There was nothing inherent in his speech that pwned atheists. That is the only point I wanted to make. Now that we established that, he can go on believing whatever it is he likes. I am not on his football team. Shit, I don't even like football.
-

I myself believe in some sort of higher power. But when someone wants to tell me or anyone that things are a certain way, I will always be on the side of "this guy MAY be full of shit"... And when the said person can only back it up with what he was taught by his/her parents and never tried to educate themselves on other theories etc. Well then that person becomes even more questionable.
-
When a human being decides to study every major religion on earth, its easy to see why most that do become Atheist. Knowledge is power.
-
Tebow is an incredible leader. He's a winner at many levels, and a huge overachiever to get where he is. He's a very good runner and would be an awesome tight end that could mix thigns up.
But he's a poor passer. Period.
And yes, coach, ESPN interviewed a lot of tebow fans last week - i think it was the scott van pelt show - they talked at great length about how tebow is very good, tebow has a bright future. Buuuut.... Tebow does have a bit of an ego. Nothing wrong with it - you better have one to be a winning QB, yu need that confidence.
But yeah, tebow has an ego, according to the people who cover him all day and really like him.
-
Wow... tebow had 3 TOs on 3 straight plays? Pick for 6, fumble for 6, then a pick.
WOW. Wihout that supreme confidence, he's back to bench quick. It'll be cool to see him as a fullback or tight end throwing 4 passes a game on trick plays.
-

It is strange because if he wasn't allowed to hide behind his religion, he would come off as kinda dumb. He's listed as having a 3.66 in college. But some have questioned that. Strange that there isn't a line of high school and college friends of his telling the sports media how brilliant he really is. Because lets be honest, he doesn't really pass the smell test of someone who is super smart. No matter how many times Jon "pitches a pants tent every time Tebow's name is mentioned" Gruden tells us he is smart. :-\
-
he has great football instincts. He just isn't accurate and can't get rid of the ball fast enough. theyre catching it at line of scrimmage and people are picking it off when he throws it near the receiver. In college he was just as abd, but his receiver was NFL caliber and the defenders were not. When he did play a real defense (LSU)? He lost.
We all max out at some point. ONce that happens, we settle in to a groove where we can maintain success longterm. Tebow will be a 3rd string guy tat sells jerseys, or a back to use now and then to make fans happy and sell tickets. A lot of fans would rather buy a ticket to see tebow run 4 trick plays than see 500 passing yards from Brees.

smart move there.
someone would pay him a ton of money to promote their cause and make his nut by age 30. Then he could run for office. If he was old enough, Tebow would probably win Iowa caucus on Jan 3rd.

Looks the same as he did when he was in college, maybe a little bigger and stronger.
-

Maybe. But the college testing is more bogus then the pros. Just way too much money in college to not protect the athletes. The fact that there isn't a multiple amount of college athletes being busted for PED's each week is a serious TELL to the system at large. At least the pros have the millions of dollars to pay for top notch "state of the art" masking agents to protect themselves. Human nature should tell us that college athletes should be dropping like fly's. But that just isn't happening.
-

That's the cover up that needs to be broken wide open. However, the NFL money leaks into the college ranks and its all protected. Could you imagine if the NBA really had a drug test? 90 percent of the league would be suspended.lol

I have at least 20+ college athletes and they're pulled out of class at least once per week for testing. Most colleges use the same testing as pros.

20 athletes out of thousands in the college ranks. I belong to a gym where only 3 are div/ 2 or above and all of them have used something along the way. Yet never tested positive.

So, are you saying that it is only the bad players that get flunked or suspended when they test positive? I went to school with Mario Manningham and that dude was always suspended for being a pot head. >:( Now, i never knew of any players that were juicing, but players are popped for Marijuana all the damn time. Dumb asses. I guess it depends on the coach, but i did train with some guys who played at South Carolina and those dudes were into all kinds of shit. :-X :-X I guess that was Spurrier for ya. ;)
-
Brady taught that overrated putz how to spike a football.
overrated? huh? I seem to remember most saying he didn't have a chance in hell in the NFL. Aside from a strong fan base from his college play almost everyone else underated him. Considering what all these guys said he wouldn't be able to do, I think he's done awesome so far.

Really?
Next two games: @ Buffalo, KC.
If the Broncos beat the Chiefs, they win the AFC West.
Yes. Tebow lost the last 3 games of the year ;)
-
You can bet "The Abdominal Snowman" has never won a football pool in his life.
Probably the most stupid thing written on this board all day. Which is saying something.
Tebow just it the trifecta as he loses to KC with only 3 points against Romeo's defense and goes 0-3 in the last 3 games of the season like a predicted :D How you doing on the those football pools. lol
-
Yes. Tebow lost the last 3 games of the year ;)
But, Tebow and his Broncos WON the AFC West and are going to the playoffs.
7-4 as a starter, Tebow helped take a 1-4 team and got them to the post-season....not bad for a 2nd year guy
;)

True. But damn are they limping into the playoffs. It will be interesting what Elway does next season regardless of what he already said. That KC game was absolutely atrocious QBing.

Tim Tebow clearly had his best game today! 8)

It was by both squads, as both defenses dominated the game. Plus, once you get in the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen. You will recall the Saints-Seahawks last year. The Seahawks limped into the playoffs, too (after getting creamed by Tampa Bay and BARELY eeking by the Rams).
They were the only team to win a division with a losing record.
Tebow needs more weapons, especially at wide receiver. A better line wouldn't hurt either. Nonetheless, Elway's team just won its division with a second-year guy who has barely played a full NFL season.
Give Tebow more toys and he'll be able to ball with the best of them.

Anyone who is at all being honest now sees that the worst team in the AFC west beat him. While the AFC west is shit.

The bottom line is that he got them in position to win the division, even IF they had to back into the postseason (courtesy of the Raiders losing).
Again, the Seahawks looked horrible, going into last year's playoffs. Then, they embarassed the defending champion Saints in the Wildcard round.
And, the Steelers didn't exactly impress me, either against the pitiful Browns. We'll see if Tebow and crew can get it together next week.
-

That same team handed the Packers their lone loss, so far. At the end of the day, both the Packers and Broncos are going to the PLAYOFFS, while the Chiefs are staying home.

true. But the packers lost how many games the entire season and get a first round bye.
The truth is that Denver will not get out of the wild card round.
Let's check back after the 1st round of the playoffs.

Maybe, maybe not! Again, last year, NOBODY gave the Seahawks a chance against the Saints. Then, Marshawn Lynch went "BEAST MODE" on the Saints.
The Wildcard round has truly lived up to its name....WILD. Tebow's a 2nd-year QB who hasn't played a full 16 games. Yet, he's lead his team to the playoffs, where the Broncos haven't been in six years. 7-4 as a starter, division title....a pretty good start to his fledgling career.
-
They clinched the AFC West. Hope this helps.
Did god make Raiders lose so Denver can stay in the playoffs?
-
Did god make Raiders lose so Denver can stay in the playoffs?
No. The commissioner of the NFL did in an effort to fool the people of San Diego into gifting the fucktard Chargers a new stadium.

let's revisit this after round one. I say Denver loses.
One of us will be right. Let's see who.

This.
He wants SD to stay in SD and jacksonville to move to LA.

They backed in losing their last 3 and looking very bad while doing it.......come on an, have a little objectivity!
I agree. Denver won't go much further.
-
let's revisit this after round one. I say Denver loses.
One of us will be right. Let's see who.
Pittsburgh will be the favorite, no question about it. But, we've seen several instances where division champions with lesser records beat wildcard teams with better ones.
2010: Seahawks (7-9) def. Saints (11-5)
2008: Chargers (8-8) def. Colts (12-4)
2008: Cardinals (9-7) def. Falcons (11-5)
The Steelers better play better next week than they did against the Browns, or they're in trouble.

Rarely does that happen. Very rarely.
Like I said. Let's have this discussion after the game. One of us will be right and the other will be wrong.
I am putting it out there that Denver will lose. What's your prediction?
Do you have the balls to bet that god will favor Tebow?
(I ask that because we all know you are one of those kooky Christians who just "happens" to back Tebow.

"Do you have the balls that God favors Tebow".......just another made up comment that athiests made up. It's got to be some kind of CNNism or MSNBCism. Utterly stupid remark. I thought you were better than that.
-
As a Pats fan, I am "praying" that the Broncos beat the Steelers. The Steelers scare me, the Broncos don't. Unfortunately, I think the Steelers D will rape Tebow.
-
Due to massive amounts of prayers received Jesus cannot hear Tebows' in time.

It happens more often than you care to admit, as that list was hardly exhaustive.
I said it earlier that Pittsburgh is favored to win and they should....IF they play the way they normally do (not the way they played today against Cleveland).
My being a Christian has zilch to do with my comments about Tebow. It appears YOU are one of those kooky atheists/skeptics that rails on Tebow, because of his faith.
He's been told his entire career that he can't make it in the NFL. So far, he's 7-4 as a starter this year and he just led his team to a division title.
-
Tim Tebow clearly had his best game today! 8)
6/22 Completetion 60 Yards 2.7 Average 0 Touchdown's 1 Interception. 8)
Come on Big Doug.....what about that awful Detroit Defense.....6 friggin toughdowns.....no wonder suh didn't make the pro bowl.....Flynn sliced them up.....Lions will get drilled by the saints!!!

He didn't lead anything. His defense did.
I love the kids work ethic so don't play the "athiestic" cArd with me.

And while living in Florida, all i heard was "Tebow is jesus and can do no wrong." Florida fans are very much like O$U fans, you either like them or hate them and i hate "them"
Tebow is a great player, but not a QB! I believe in god but how many damn times can you turn on the T.V. and....THERE he is...24/7 Fore fucks sake.
Tebow is a GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYER BUT NOT A GOOD QB!
I do not hate "him" but Tebow as a QB - yes, very much!

The Broncos had the SAME defense with Kyle Orton at QB. How did that work for them?
Answer: 1-4
They gave Tebow the start, thinking the season was LOST. Instead, the Broncos ended up winning the division. Even the defense's stats were much improved with Tebow at QB.
No matter how you spin it, without Tebow, the Broncos DO NOT WIN the AFC West.

Orton would have given them the same record I believe.
Didn't Orton JUST beat them and a perfect green bay team?

You act as if Orton just got to the team a year ago. He was in Denver for THREE YEARS (the Broncos traded for him and dumped Jay Cutler).
Had Orton done a better job, the Broncos wouldn't have been 1-4 and Orton wouldn't have been benched for Tebow in the first place.
Tebow takes the helm (a second year guy); the Broncos go 7-4 and WIN THEIR DIVISION.
-
just curious did you watch the game yesterday, who do you think made the better throws

;)
-
just curious did you watch the game yesterday, who do you think made the better throws
I did watch the game. Orton has a better game. But, SO WHAT!! I hope you're not implying that the Broncos would have won the AFC West, had Orton remained the starter.
Orton is 3-5 as a starter this year. Tebow is 7-4.
Had Orton played better against the Raiders and beaten them, the Chiefs would have won the division by beating Denver.
All the Chiefs and Orton could do is play "spoiler" (yet, they didn't even do that, because of the Raiders losing; Denver ended up winning the division anyway).
-
your forgetting that the bronco started using the triple option offense when tebow became a starter and for the nfl defences that's a new ball game.took time for them to get use to it.but like anything else there's ways to beat it and now the blueprints out there, so now he pretty well fu@ked unless he can learn to throw more accurately.and if you watched the game yesterday you can see he doesn't have what it takes to put the ball in the tight window that you have to in the nfl

I'm not forgetting anything (and PLEASE get some grammar lessons, dude; it's "You're" not "your"). I've said that he needs to work on his mechanics and that he hasn't played a full season yet. He needs work, no question about it.
The Broncos got smart. They know they can work on Tebow's mechanics later. This is a win-now league and if Denver can win with Tebow running the option (which they did in 7 of 11 games), then that's what you do.
I've also said HE NEEDS HELP. How many of Tebow's low-completions games have been due (in part) to his wideouts DROPPING THE BALL, despite Tebow putting the ball right on the money?
Get him a DeSean Jackson, someone with some speed who can actually CATCH (along with working on his mechanics) and LOOK OUT!!!
A good tight end would help the cause as well.
-
elway is not going to keep him he'll be gone by the middle of next year, just like your man cain :D,and most of the incompletions are from the ball not being put in the right spot,a great receiver is not going to make a difference if he can't get the ball to him.oh your or you're who really gives a fu#k

Elway has already stated that Tebow isn't going anywhere. Tebow needs work in the offseason and, with an actual offseason (instead of a lockout), he'll have the chance to improve.
Tebow DOES need to improve his accuracy. His receivers ALSO need to catch the ball when he hits them. His wideouts have dropped a number of passes (some of which would have been scores). But, ignoring facts is common place for you; so one should hardly be shocked at that.
The simple fact is the Broncos WOULDN'T HAVE WON THE DIVISION in the first place, had it not been for Tebow's heroics earlier in the season.
They were 1-4, dead in the water, with everyone all but handing the division to San Diego or Oakland. Who replaced Orton and took Denver from 1-4 to 8-5? TEBOW!
-
he doesn't have what it takes to be an nfl qb,now if you put him at fullback he would be good.it shouldn’t always take magic, a nfl quarterback needs to make the basic passes before the magic is needed
-
which QB will Broncos draft in the first round "Just to grab the best available player" or "to deliver a fair training camp"?
Forget the draft, Elway is gonna go after Green Bay's Matt Flynn. Talk about a guy with some serious talent. Flynn looks like he is gonna be a top notch Quarter Back in the league. What he did in Green Bays last game was unbelievable. Wouldn't be surprised in the Jets make a run at Flynn either. Watching Flynn in that game may just make him a better suitor for most teams ahead of Andrew Luck.
-
A good tight end would help the cause as well.
If Tebow became that Tight End and Denver signed Green Bay's M. Flynn, they may have a chance to go deep into the playoffs in 2012 ;)

Lol, you should be the Dolphins Gm. Shitty teams always pick the qb of the week, and think they will be the next franchise quarterback. If I was a team in need of a qb, I would offer a couple first rounders to try and trade for Peyton Manning. If healthy, he has got three or four good years left.

Did you watch the GB game? That dude has some serious talent. Calm in the pocket and a quick release. Everything that Tebow isn't. I agree on Peyton but he is one hit away from never playing again. That is if he isn't already done.

He IS an NFL quarterback, who just got his team into the playoffs.
He needs work, but the potential is there. He needs time, a good QB coach, and some better weapons around him. He got drafted as a QB (first round), has only played 14 games in two seasons, yet he's helped take a 1-4 squad to the post-season.

Brady Quinn only has 15 complete games in the NFL. And more than one person in the Broncos' forums are calling him to if not start in the Playoffs, come in and play if Tebow gets too far behind. The NFL is a passing league and within 5 years, you won't find one team drafting a defensive player in the first round. Its getting to be that bad. Pats ranked worst D in the league and GBays ranked 2nd worst. Sure those numbers are misleading but in overall D, they are both ranked the worst but are favored to win it all.

On paper you're right. But they don't pass the eye test. I'm a Pats fan and when Brady went down 2008, me and almost every other Pats fan said they were done. Well Matt Cassel stepped in that took them 11-5 but missed the playoffs that year. 11 and fucking 5 and they miss the playoffs. :o When you ask Pats fans about the 2008 season, they will tell you that the Pats shouldn't have made the playoffs and didn't deserve it anyway. Then you'll hear shit about the "system" etc. but that's a whole diff/argument.
However, Tebow worshipers are grasping at straws thinking its some sort of miracle working. That's not smart. And its not good for the team/fans. Denver deserves to have a top notch fucking Quarterback playing for that team. Denver is one of the toughest places on earth to go and play at as an away team. The fans there are incredible. This Tebow experiment is a waste of time and everyone knows it. Its sad what ESPN has done to him. When Brett Favre left for good, it seems that ESPN needed to fill his shoes. And they've done it with Tebow.
Its obvious that Tebow is an awesome human being. And an awesome football talent. He's just playing the wrong position. Its way too late for him to be a line backer for sure, but the guy could do some serious damage as a tight end. He's obviously showing on field football speed that didn't really show up at the combine. But the dudes arm and passing instincts are not there. There's too much film out on him now and its not like his coach is going to let him open it up. The end is near. At least his QB career.

That's no shocker; it's simple math. Miami won the division at 11-5, as well (better division record). The worst wildcard record was 11-5 and Baltimore beat New England head-to-head. The Colts also beat the Patriots and had a better overall record, anyway (12-4).

You've just made my point. Tebow needs a QB coach (or a better one, at least). Tebow's a first-round pick as a QB; making him a tight end or fullback is utterly silly.
To open it up, he needs weapons, preferably receivers with speed that actually catch the ball. Yet, if anyone has made lemonade out of offensive lemons, it's Tebow. You can't draft a QB in the first-round, NOT surround him with the weapons to match his talent, and wonder why he's struggling.
Look at Alex Smith of San Francisco. He was an eyelash away from joining the likes of Ryan Leaf, Heath Shuler, and JaMarcus Russell as first-round BUSTS!
Yet, Jim Harbaraugh (a QB coach by reputation) worked with Smith, spent time with him, believed in him (when virtually NOBODY ELSE did) and put the right weapons around him. Now, he's kicking BUTT and he could end up in the Super Bowl, before it's all said and done.
Tebow needs a Harbaraugh-like coach to develop him. Unfortunately, John Fox is a defensive guy. So, Denver needs a QB specialist to bring out the best in Tebow.
But, for all his flaws, Tebow took a team left for DEAD and won a division title with them.
-

If you really need a QB you go after Stafford. He will be a stud.

even the bronco fans are starting to see it,he's not the answer,he can't make the nfl throws, period.mechcanics is just one part, look at rivers, probably the shityest mechcanics in the nfl but he can make the passes.tebow can't read defences, his throws are late or not made at all because of it

He's not the answer to WHAT! Tebow got them in the playoffs, not Orton, not Quinn.
They're in the dance, with a shot (however slim) to win a world title. Coming off a 4-12 season, winning your division with a 2nd year QB (who only played 3 games last year) is a good way to start. Denver won 6 in a row WITH TEBOW, to get themselves in this position. That means they can win 4 in a row. If they somehow do that, the Broncos are world champions.
As I said, he needs someone similar to Jim Harbaraugh, who took Alex Smith (a hearbeat away from being a bust) and got him rolling. And he needs better weapons.
-
great, they're in the playoffs, but in the long run you make the playoffs to have a chance to win the superbowl, tebow doesn't give them that chance. what has happen in the last 3 weeks now that defences have figured out how to stop the triple option offence, 3 loses.this is a throwing league and he can't make the throws it's that simple. i find it funny how you want to blame it on the receivers, sure they're not pro bowl caliber, but they are nfl caliber, you bring brady, brees or rogers there and those receivers will be catching balls

If you're in the playoffs, you have a chance, period. We've seen it time and time again.
What's happened in the last three weeks is too many turnovers. You lose in the NFL (I don't care who you are or who your quarterback is) if you keep coughing up the ball.
Tebow has the ability; but he needs more work. He needs a better QB coach and weapons to help him out. I'm aware of what's happened the last three weeks. I'm also aware of what happened the previous 8 weeks (in which Tebow and crew WON 7 of 8 ). Look at the Minnesota game, for example. And the game against San Diego.
Brady, Brees, and Rodgers are all season vets, who had good QB coaches to DEVELOP them. They aren't 2nd-year guys who have even played one full season.

this about sums it up
Boomer Esiason, the former Bengals quarterback and current CBS analyst, says Tebow has no business being an NFL quarterback, and just because Tebow was successful at Florida, that’s no reason to think he’ll ever be any good with the Broncos.
“He can’t play. He can’t throw,” Esiason said, via Mike McCarthy of USA Today. “I’m not here to insult him. The reality is he was a great college football player, maybe the greatest college football player of his time. But he’s not an NFL quarterback right now. Just because he’s God-fearing, and a great person off the field, and was a winner with the team that had the best athletes in college football, doesn’t mean his game is going to translate to the NFL.”
Esiason says he can’t imagine why the old coaching staff wanted Tebow and doesn’t see what good it does for the current coaching staff to keep him around.
“What Josh McDaniel saw in him God only knows. Maybe God does know — because the rest of us don’t,” Esiason said.
All indications are that Tebow’s job is safe, even though he may not even be the third-best quarterback in camp. But there are a whole lot of people watching Tebow who think the Broncos would be better off without him.

Of course, you would dredge up an old interview, BEFORE the Broncos went on their six-game win streak. Then, Boomer had a slight change of heart, though still critical of him.
He said that Tebow isn't a NFL quarterback RIGHT NOW, which fits right into what I've been saying from the start. He needs more time to develop; he needs someone to develop him, as Jim Harbaraugh did with Alex Smith of the 49ers.
Lost on you, of course, is that the Broncos WOULD NOT EVEN BE IN THE PLAYOFFS, if it weren't for Tebow (warts and all). From 1-4 to division champs....enough said.

Your feeling is as misguided and cracked as you are.
I do know that this particular quarterback took his team TO THE AFC WEST TITLE, when that team was DEAD LAST in that division. Flap your gums all you want. Bottom line: Without Tebow, they ain't in the playoffs this year.
Tebow's flaws can be FIXED, just as flaws of other QBs can and have been fixed. That shows that YOU don't know much about the quarterback position.
Any QB that can take a 1-4 team to the postseason in just his second year gets props from me. That's the facts about Tebow. All your pointless musing (coupled with your inability to spell or punctuate) doesn't change that.
-
he completes 40% of his passing, the defences have figured out the triple option offence, done deal.steve young knows it trent dilfer knows it,they both say he's lost in the backfield when he has to throw because he knows he can't make the throws.but i guess i'll listen to mcway of getbig because he knows more :D :D :D :D :D :D

And if there are two quarterbacks who SUCKED ROYALLY in their early years, it's Young and Dilfer (I know; they played for my favorite team).
What you failed to understand, Einstein, is that I'm not denying Tebow's flaws. I'm stating those flaws can be CORRECTED. What part of that don't you grasp? Dilfer and Young should be able to relate to that, seeing how SORRY they both were back in the day.
Young only got the chance to study under Joe Montana and Bill Walsh, once he left Tampa Bay. They developed him into the Hall-of-Fame QB he became. Tebow needs something similar. With that said, neither Dilfer nor Young took the Bucs to the playoffs in year 2 of their careers (though Dilfer came close in '95).
All QBs have their slumps and Tebow is no different. Denver needs to get the pieces (both coaching and player-wise) to help Tebow out.
As far as not making the throws goes, he made them against Minnesota, against San Diego, against Oakland, and against Chicago. Get his mechanics fix, work with him a full off-season, and get him better receivers who don't drop the ball when WIDE OPEN, and Tebow will be fine.

problem with you is you think everything can be taught and corrected,if that was the case we would have a lot of brady's and montana's running around.like i said before you don't know too much about the position :-*

Some things CAN be taught and corrected. That doesn't necessarily mean that everyone will be Bradys or Montanas.
You think Steve Young MAGICALLY became a Hall-of-Fame quarterback? Take a good look at his early days in Tampa Bay; Tebow looks like Johnny Unitas, compared to Young back then. How did Young go from being a scrub to a champion and HOF player?
How did Alex Smith go from being a near-first-round BUST, to the QB he is today (NFC West Champion) with a legitimate shot of going to the Super Bowl (especially with the one defense that stop either Green Bay or New Orleans COLD)?
How did Kurt Warner go from bagging groceries and playing Arena Ball, to going to THREE SUPERBOWLS (winning one and making MVP)?
This just goes to show that your football comments are about as RIDICULOUS as your political comments are. If those QBs can go from being scrubs to being champs, so can Tebow, especially given what he's done in Denver (From 1-4 to DIVISION CHAMPIONS, period).

all the quarterbacks you just mentioned could make the nfl throws, they made mistakes as rookies but they could make the throws.tebow can't even make the throws in practice, like i said stick with grammar and spelling because you know nothing about the position of quarterback ;D

Put down the crackpipe and step WAY BACK. Young could barely hit the broad side of a barn, when he first started. Quite frankly, same went for Dilfer early on in their careers. Young SUCKED ROYALLY at first. Both of them made the throws alright.......half the time to the guys in the OTHER TEAM'S JERSEY.
Dilfer got BENCHED in '99, even after the Bucs won against the Bears (granted, the score was 6-3). The only reason he got his starting job back was because Eric Zeier cracked his ribs in a loss to Detroit. I saw Dilfer's years FIRSTHAND and he struggled almost as much as Tebow has.
Not to mention, Dilfer has the dubious distinction (undeserved, in my opinion) of being the ONLY QB to get CUT, after winning a Super Bowl. And, it took Dilfer THREE FULL YEARS as a starter (four years overall) before he made it to the post-season. Tebow got there in less than two years, without starting a full season in either one.
And if Warner could "make the NFL throws" early in his career, he wouldn't have been bagging groceries in Iowa. Again, please put that pipe down. It kills your brain cells.
Brady learned from Bledsoe; Rodgers learned from Favre; Young learned from Montana. And they all did so FOR SEVERAL YEARS. Under whom has Tebow studied and learned again....OH, THAT'S RIGHT!! Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn....... ::)

Some don't like Tebow and all because he's actually trying to live his faith not only in the arena that is professional football but also in the real world. If he were black then the pussbag media would be falling all over themselves trying to suck up to him.
Fucktard liberals and more than a few asswipe atheists want the kid to fail in faith and football. The former genuflected at the return of Michael Vick simply because he be black and Buddha knows there's not enough black players (at QB) in the Negro Football League, aka the National Football League, aka the NFL.
Fuck that noise.
I may be an atheist but Tebow's faith doesn't bother me in the least. For fucks sake people, some comments here and in the media make me wonder if any of you are sooooooooooooo pained by the sight of a cross that you shrivel up in terror like some daywalking vampire. You would be better served by reserving your disgust for players that have multiple children by multiple women in multiple states.
You know... Like Antonio Cromag...errr....Cromart ie. Oh wait! He be black and therefore the media excuses him from being a fucktard by racial default. Now there's a role model. Hence the phrase, "that's how I role"... ;)
I'll root for Tebow and anyone else, black, white or whathaveyou color that sincerely tries to live the faith of the Nazarene and in doing so set an excellent example for children interested in sports to look up to and emulate. Football's just a game, but life isn't.
Fuck islime. ;D

get off the jesus bandwagon, your as bad as the people that want him to fail because he prays all the time, your just on the opposite end.i could care less if he prays or not he can't play the position of quarterback.and for the record steve young worst year he was completing 53 % of his passes not 40 something like tebow,so go peddle your bullshit somewhere else

Apparently, you didn't get your Reader Rabbit or Speak-N-Spell for Christmas. Steve Young was as awful as awful could get. And, I haven't said a THING about Tebow's faith, praying or anything of the sort. My discussion about Tebow has been about FOOTBALL, period (namely his need for a better QB coach, wideouts, and a full off-season of work). Again, quit puffing that pipe and step back.
But, O ye of little sense and reading comprehension, Young LEARNED (from Montana and Walsh) how to be a better quarterback. And, for the record, Tebow (during the Broncos' 6-game winning streak) completed 50% of his passes yet only threw 1 pick and 7 TDs. That's the streak that got the Broncos in position to WIN THE AFC WEST.
Did Young take his team to the playoffs in his second year? NO! Neither did Dilfer. Tebow (warts and all) HAS DONE THAT!!
And, in typical cowardly fashion, you ducked the issues being presented, because they make you look even more foolish than you normally make yourself. All of the aforementioned QBs (Brady, Rodgers, Young) had great QBs and QB coaches under which to study in which to improve and be better players. They also had great weapons at receivers.
To date, Tebow has NONE OF THAT. Yet, he has fought, clawed, and willed his team to a division title in his second year (despite not playing a full season of football). When he gets the time to work, the coaches to fix his flaws, and the playmakers around him, Tebow will improve significantly and take his game to the next level.
Digest that (once you get from rehab), before you spout any more foolishness.

Tebow caught a nice little sweet spot.
momentum was on his side, emotions were high, he was the story of the season. He got hella lucky on some games, he caught defenses off guard with his style. He was fresh and excited and nobody knew how to handle him.
Now? Today, defenses know to cover their man, force him to run right, where he throws against his body (slowly) and is hella inaccurate. A couple more hits and he'll slow down. His confidence starts sliding and he'll go 3-13.
He had a cool run. As someone mentioned, faking an injury and starting a career as a spokesman, endorses, or politics would be the way to go. He plays out 2 more years, and it'll be a year of decline in Denver followed by being cut and fighting with Pryor for 2nd on the Raiders depth chart.
better to realize the weakness, smile at the position he's in, and scoot into the next step in life. use his huge recognition for causes way beyond football. He'll be set for life on $ with a year of that - someone would give him $5 mil to speak for a year, and then he can dedicate his life to something he's good at, really making a difference.
-
no sense in arguing with someone who knows nothing about the position, like yourself.next year you will see if he plays the first 4 games as quarterback he will be lucky.i don't think he will do that.i think elway is looking for a replacement right now because he knows the position.unlike yourself :D

His run isn't done yet. He's in the post-season. And what's been plaguing Tebow is turnovers. You will LOSE, turning over the football; I don't care who your quarterback is.
Of course, Tebow has weaknesses. I never claimed anything to the contrary. But those weaknesses can be fixed. Young had them; Roethlesberger had them; Rodgers had them. But, with time, good coaching, and better weapons, those quarterbacks became among the greats of the game.
To write off a guy, who's only been in the league two years and has played all of 14 games, is patently ABSURD (especially given that this same fellow took a 1-4 team to the playoffs). Brady, Rodgers, and Young all had legendary/HOF QB and great QB coaches to develop them.
Does Tebow have that, at the moment? NO!! Brady Quinn and Kyle Orton have been his mentors to date.

Peyton Manning had no mentors.
I think QB coaches and what not, know what it takes... they have been in football for a long, long time.

Manning is a rare breed (at least, Peyton is; Eli needed some help).
QB coaches thought Steve Young was horrible, before he got to San Fran and had Montana and Walsh to guide him. Then, there's Alex Smith, who got benched for Troy Smith last season in San Fran, as well.
Nobody expected him to have the year he's having. But, Smith had a coach like Harbaraugh to help him out and believe in him, when everyone else thought he was a bust.
If Smith can improve, then so can Tebow.

I do not believe Smith had the release issues Tebow has... Smith's issues were perpetually mental in that he was being rushed and made poor decisions... Time and being in scenarios and learning by experience what to do certainly do play a factor.
If next year Tebow goes gang busts and proves everyone, including myself, wrong, then I will certainly give him his due.
As is, yes, he's won the AFC west as a starter in his 2nd year... That certainly is nothing to take away from him.
-
Mark Sanchez took the Jets to the playoffs two years in a row. One or two more seasons like he had this year and he'll be lucky to get a back up QB job. And Sanchez is light years ahead of Tebow when it comes to the passing game :-\

Sanchez was the full time starter both years. Tebow only started the last three games of 2010 (with Denver at 3-11) and 11 games of 2011 (digging the Broncos out of a 1-4 hole, finishing 7-4 and winning the division).
Sanchez needs some work as well. He has been getting grilled almost as much as Tebow, throwing picks like crazy (including a pick-six against Denver that tied the game and helped set the stage for Tebow's 95-yard TD drive to beat the Jets). He threw 3 INTs in that loss to Miami, two of them to a defensive lineman.

Tebow doesn't have to go gang-busters to be an effective QB. He needs to read routes better and anticipate the throws better.
What took me aback about the Broncos' six-game win streak is how on Earth, so late in the game, Denver's receivers were WIDE OPEN for big plays and scores. Look at the last two drives of regulation against Chicago; the late drive against Minnesota; and the 95-yard TD drive against the Jets.
-
I don't know why everyone is raving about Alex Smith this year. The only thing he is doing differently, is keeping his turnovers down. His numbers suck for a full-time starting quarterback.

what question have i ducked .hahaha and key points, you haven't made any.you were wrong about cain and your wrong about tebow,2 for 2 :D
Just these (and this is hardly exhaustive):
How did Young go from being a scrub to a champion and HOF player?
How did Alex Smith go from being a near-first-round BUST, to the QB he is today (NFC West Champion) with a legitimate shot of going to the Super Bowl (especially with the one defense that stop either Green Bay or New Orleans COLD)?
How did Kurt Warner go from bagging groceries and playing Arena Ball, to going to THREE SUPERBOWLS (winning one and making MVP)?
Tebow took over a 1-4 team and LEAD THEM TO THE PLAYOFFS.
Your cracked musings don't change that fact, which might explain why you're dragging Herman Cain into this discussion when this has nothing to do with politics.
The key points, that you continue to duck (O blind one, is that Tebow is in his second year, has YET to play a full season of football, and does NOT have the luxury of having a HOF QB (i.e. Favre, Montana) under which to study.
Tebow has flaws but they aren't flaws that can't be fixed, just as Young had to fix his flaws (as he SUCKED royally in Tampa Bay).
-
you seem not to understand that young, warner were never in the 40% completion average like your man tebow.i mentioned cain because it shows you don't like to admit your wrong.to even compare young to tebow shows you don't even have a clue ;D tebow time has come and gone and mcway missed the train :D
-

You seem not to understand that both of them SUCKED (regardless of their completion percentages) early in their careers. And, apparently Warner's completion percentage was SO IMPRESSIVE, that he got sent packing to a store in Iowa to bag groceries. ::)
Take a look at Josh Freeman of the Bucs . He had 63% completion of his passes this season. He had 61% completion last year.
How well did he do this year? How well did he do last year? When you get a clue and can answer these (since you're too chicken to answer the other question), business will pick up.
Nobody cares about your completion percentage if you're throwing picks and LOSING. The most important stats are TDs and INTERCEPTIONS.
Tebow's stats this year, after 11 games, are: 12 TDs, 6 INT (4 of which came in one game). 1729 yards overall (on a team that's run-oriented). 7-4 as started, on a team that started 1-4.
End result: AFC WEST Champions.
Once again, in typical cowardly Blacken fashion, you ducked the questions put directly to you (Among those were, How did Young go from being a scrub to a champion and HOF player?). Bringing up politicians in a football discussion shows you are utterly bereft of any sense.
-
i said it already young could make the nfl passes tebow can't, period .tebow can't throw in the small windows that it takes to be in the nfl.do you know what that means.from h.s the window is pretty big,you get in college the window gets smaller and in the nfl it gets smaller again, that why only a handful of these college quarterbacks make it in the nfl.they're not accurate enough for the next level and neather is tebow.you can only teach accuracy so far,you have it or you don't.that's what you can't get though your thick skull,oh and you can't pray for it either:D

Accuracy can be taught. And Young learned how to be a better QB, while in San Francisco. He SUCKED in Tampa Bay. At the end of the day, it comes down to yards, TD and INTs. Josh Freeman is a prime example. He had a higher percentage this year than last year.
GUESS WHAT. He's thrown only 16 TDs and 22 INTs. In 2010, Freeman hit 25 TDs and a mere 6 INTs. And the record speaks for itself. 2010: 10-6; 2011: 4-12.
So, O non-spelling one, the job of a QB is to make the play when needed to get your team in the endzone and win games. Tebow's accuracy can be improved, by:
a) Working on his mechanics and giving him more coaching
b) Getting better receivers around him (Tebow's has loads of passes DROPPED, when he hit his receivers on the money).
That's what you do with a young QB, (i.e. a QB that's been in the league only 2 years and hasn't played a full season, such as Tebow).
IT worked with Alex Smith, who was garbage and a heartbeat away from joining the likes of Leaf, Russell, and Shuler as first-round BUSTS.
What you can't get through YOUR skull is that Tebow got his team to the playoffs, by making those throws in critical moments in the game (ask the Bears, Raiders, Vikings, Chargers, and Jets).
To make it in the NFL, you need to WIN GAMES and get your team in the POST-SEASON. Guess who has done that so far......TEBOW.

mark schlerth broke it down really well today about tebow.
he throws well on broken plays where a guy is standing in front of him waving his arm. he has never thrown on time to hit a man on a route in stride, and maybe never will.
he will be great in wildcat - but he's gotta learn to throw (accurate and fast) in order to last 2 more seasons.
Methinks Elways gets a flynn or drafts a QB (for competitions sake).

LMAO. have you watched a broncos game this season?
Tebow is extremely talented, good on the move, out of the pocket, in the pocket, quick thinker, avoids sacks, gets rid of the ball when he needs to, finds open recievers, etc etc.
-
Tebow is an effective runner and should convert to fullback. LOL at an NFL quarterback who needs to learn how to throw the ball. He will never learn because he doesn't have the natural ability; similar to the 350 lb guy playing left tackle.
-
OMG tebow doesnt have the textbook throwing form!! it takes him a whole extra half second to get the ball off!! hes never going to be able to win a game !!!!

Throwing motion is not his real problem, it's his lack of arm strength, accuracy and timing. Philip Rivers has an odd throwing motion, but he gets it where it's suppose to be on time. Tebow doesn't.
-
he passes well enough
and when you can pass that well, it opens up the run game

The usual foolish, cluck-and-duck, blubbering we've come to expect from Blacken. Ask him a direct question that shoots his premise to pieces.....he makes stupid statements loaded with smiley faces.
You should get on one knee and pray that you learn how to write a sentence or spell properly.
