Economist Robert Murphy challenged Krugman to a debate and members of the Mises Institute have put a lot of money on the line. If Krugman accepts, then the NYC Food Bank will get $71,255 to feed the hungry. Not bad. http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/campaign-0-1240 (http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/campaign-0-1240)

Pointless. It would be a debate of economic ideology with some saying Krugman wins, others saying Schiff wins. If Schiff wants to own him he should publish an article refuting some of Krugman's points in a peer-reviewed economic journal.
-
LOL! Maybe Krugman can use his desire for a space alien invasion to fix the economy to beat schiff.
That stupid little muppet NEVER debates anyone and hides behind his stupid column.
-
And you people call this guy smart?

Why does he have to debate anyone? If you don't like his views don't read his column.

Because this angry little muppet influences a ton of people and refuses to ever debate anyone on his scams.

He doesn't have to. Debate is not the be all end all. If Schiff feels he is so correct perhaps he should try to get a column himself and publish as to why he is correct.
It seems to me Schiff is a little hurt that despite Krugman's perceived insanity he still has a wider audience than Schiff does. It's a case of the little dog yapping at the big dog.

LOL. The former enron advisor and idiot who called for the housing bubble Krugman is widely laughed at by most people.

Why doesn't Shiff create an account on GB.com then he can debate all day long
Krugman is a university professor, author, consultant et... why would he waste his time on a goofball like Schiff
-
You heard it from the neo-Keynesian, folks. All that matters is how big your audience is. The more people who listen to you, the better.
Former Enron adviser Paul Krugman is an economics genius. Now if only aliens would attack us all our problems would be solved!

Haha, Schiff runs his own successful firm while Krugman helped run Enron into the ground.

LOL! Schiff is a business owner, author, consultant and has a proven track record that makes Krugman look at best like a moron.

Keynesianism is dead and peope like Straw and Kcballer who, let's be homest, aren't very smart, can't come to grips with that.

Not at all. The size of the audience doesn't make one right and one wrong. But my assertion is if Schiff is correct then it should be rather easy to get a larger audience shouldn't it?
Besides, Krugman has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Schiff is a little known adviser who says he saw the crash coming yet still lost millions of his clients money. What would Krugman gain from the debate? Schiff would gain a potentially larger audience but Krugman would get what exactly? I imagine not much.

Hey Straw - where does money come from?

Keynesian economic theory will never "die" ::) Just as Hayek will never die and Marxist economic theory will never die.

So to you it's about his reputation and the cult-like status you've given the former Enron adviser. Facts don't matter to you.

Did i say that? No. I don't follow him like a 'cult' leader at all. Apparently i have to agree 100% or disagree 100% according to you. What a weird person you are.

Of course it will still be around for naive children like you. No one will give any credence to it. Keynesianism will join the flat-Earthers in obscurity.

He's lost quite a bit of credibility over the last several years.

He's lost quite a bit of credibility over the last several years.
No doubt he has, he has said some outlandish things.

No doubt he has, he has said some outlandish things.
Some outlandish things but he has also laid down his own core principles, many of which were shown to be wrong. Yet people still fawn over him like he is some deity or something.

Have you ever even read a peer-reviewed economic journal? They're all a joke.

Peter Schiff a goof who has lost millions of dollars? He has made millions. He's was buying gold when it was $300. It's $1600+ now. His main investment has increased 500% in 10 years.
And Peter Schiff not having many viewers or listeners or readers? That second video I posted got over 2 million hits...

Peter Schiff should be RP's VP pick or Sec. of Treasury at the least.
