Title: Do you train forearms ?
Post by: Stavios on January 29, 2012, 07:48:15 PM
Everybody say forearms are like calves and don't grow much, but I never see anybody really training forearms..
My forearms are tiny so I decided to train them so they can:

1- be bigger
2- have more endurance in them when I savagely finger my gf's pussy

speak on this

Most of the time, but I miss occasionally if running out of time.

They suck, but they improved a bit.

Yeah, I train them whenever I do biceps.. A few sets of wrist curls, whatever type of variation, doesn't matter.. I use straps so that's why I like to train them... I also do a lot of hammer and reverse curls

I do reverse curls every week after biceps. If you have decent sized bis with no forearms your arms overall look like shit.

I get a pretty badass forearm workout when not using straps for certain exercises with back. Just chalk. Like for pull-ups/pulldowns/deadlifts(I cant go very high without straps for these, Left forearm gets a painful twinge if lbs to high like a mofo). Look at Dorians forearms in that black and white photo FDB. He didnt specifically train them? so maybe your right. Its like calves. Either you got them or you don't.

I do, but I do because the pump they get is pretty good.. Not very effective, but when I was on equipona and dbol they grew remarkably, I think training them may have influenced a bit

they say wanking stunts growth but in the case of your forearms it seems to be the opposite ?

Train forearms for "burn" -- as you would calves.

Very strict, slow reverse curls.  If you use momentum, you're wasting your time for the most part.

I do them at the end of every back workout, one 20-rep set of wrist curls behind my back with a barbell, them after the last rep I hold on to bar for as long as I can.

Or if all the barbells are taken I just say fuck it  8)

because many profesionals now day hav eno foundations ,, and as i said genetic and origin has a lot to do with forarm and calves,,you dont need to have mssive forarms to b eadvance bodybuild,, forarms increase in size wil come with hormones and it wil b eenough if everything else respond well to legit hormones,,

i hope you fellas understand that profesional bodybuid now day is not real muscle,, IT IS INFLATED MUSCLE WITH WATER AND NEW FIBERS THAT CREATED BY HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE AND THEN PUSHED INTO THICKER MODE BY AAS AND FINALY OVER ALL DRAMATIC INCREASE IN WEIGHT WHEN INSULINA ADDED TO THE MIX

bodybuild now day has nothnig NOTHING to do with anyhting other than hormones,, ofcourse got to be legit

ive started direct neck training when im off gear as the neck thing bothers me more than the rest

ive got a great forearm exersize for you, works wonders and im going to make my self another one soon as they keep getting pinched,,

thick coke can diameter piece of broomshank, drill a hole thru the middle, put a rope thru..
attach a weight and roll it up, overhand one time, underhand the next and keep going till youve got pure acid in the forearms

i really need to have bigger forearms but i have doubts i could get them bigger with training when i dont have the genetics for it.

if there would be growth in it i think they would already be on his max size wise due the heavy barbell curls back training etccc
same with calves. i think its a waste of energy.

Use a roller or reeler (same thing, different name depending on where you're from), do some wrist curls and extensions, don't use straps, do some db/bb cleans, change the rep range around... not that hard.

Wrist curls and grippers are great but you have to work the extender movement or it could lead to elbow pain. Kneel by a bench and rest your forearms on it and do reverse dumbbell wrist raises.

Some guys with elbow, forearm, tricep and bicep pain can be traced to a unbalanced forearm strength.  Sometimes you even have to work on pronation and suplination.  Get a cheap dumbbell where you can put two collars on one end to hold a plate. Then twist your hand a couple of sets inward and outward.

I think the best grippers are from Ironmind. They make all different strengths and some I don't think most 300lbs powerlifters can close.

I never train forearms.  I am italian though and my forearms are genetically big.  Someone even pointed out in some pics I posted that my forearms make my bi's look smaller because of how big they are  >:(.  The only work they get is indirectly from me not using grips when I train.  I use Versa Gripps on back day because they help me contract and isolate my lats better, but otherwise I use no gloves, wrist wraps, or anything.

Stav, if you think the forearm pumps are bad from fingering your girl, wait until the CTS from hgh kicks in!

On a serious note, no. Do u think it helps with forerarma growth? I think it wud little if any considering all the backwork you do in the gym.

despite the fact that i trained forearms steady, my buddy had huge forearms just from gripping the bar on heavy dead lifts. he could double 8 plates with no wraps. his weak wrist (previously fractured) would give out when he would get 8 and a half plates to his knees.

if you want big traps as well you could do high rep shrugs with 4 of 5 plates aside until your grip gives out. hanging on to that for close to a minute will definately grow the forearms.

the way I train my back, I don't really train my forearms cause I only pull the bar with my fingers, kind of like a "hook" grip  so I can feel my back better
