If either Romney or Santorum gains the nomination and then falls before Obama, flubbing an election that just months ago seemed eminently winnable, it will unleash a GOP apocalypse on November 7 -- followed by an epic struggle between the regulars and red-hots to refashion the party. And make no mistake: A loss is what the GOP's political class now expects."
Said GOP strategist Ed Rollins: "Six months before this thing got going, every Republican I know was saying, 'We're gonna win, we're gonna beat Obama.' Now even those who've endorsed Romney say, "My God, what (an effing) mess."'

hmmm, i dunno if they will. it's been over 3 years of obama reign. they're as divided today as they were on election day. the MINORITY of the party supports romney. And he'll probably get the nomination. When you have 3/4 of the party loving tea party ideals, we may have 2008 all over again, wht 18% of repubs just staying home.

2009 - Christie took out corzine and Brown took out the swimmers' seat, 2010 - GOP tsunami vs. the communists, and 2012 as gas goes to $5, ue rises, etc - obama is done, maybe in mondale fashion.

Black vote did not matter in 2008 but add some votes to the pop vote total. Even Mccain won NC and FL he still would have lost.

Really? Cause the WSJ has the data to prove without the black vote, it woudl have been a mccain victory by .3 in 2008. Yes, the black vote DID matter. Won obama the election.
