Title: How often do u train same bodypart when on?

Twice a week? More? I train each body part twice a week not sure if im not training enough and could make more progress training more often

I always trained the same way on or off, but i used heavier weights and sometimes i would do a few extra sets. My intesity always increases rapidly on cycle and makes my simple workouts very effective.

We are all different and have different exercise capacities, the only person who can really tell you what works is yourself IMO.

I usuallly go by how I recover.  If it`s recovered and feels like it`s ready to go, im hitting it.

2 times a week worked best for me. some bodyparts i could work more often, like delts. i could pound delts 3 times a week and gains were much better that way. only problem is rotator cuff gets worked so often that pressing movements start to stagnate or decline even though delts are not overtrained.

I barely work delts anymore lol.  Front delts i'll never work directly, I do rear delts once or twice per week and side delts maybe 3 sets..... I never do presses anymore, if anything machine presses once a week or once every other week.  Delts for me are dominant and always come in to play when I work back, chest, arms.  Plus delt size and development is dependant on hormones and hgh.

depends on what compounds im taking. if i take tren ace, i feel like i can train everyday and train each body part 2-3x a week.

i don't feel like i can hit my medial delts well unless i do side laterals, which always fucks up my shoulder because i have a messed up rhomboid and also shoulder impingement. shoulders are just so bad, often hurts doing standing barbell curls.

monday- chest and biceps

wednesday- back and traps

friday- legs with serratus work and abs

saturday or sunday- shoulders and triceps

 
the key to working out 4 days a week is to lift heavy. the key is to get yourself pumped up beyond fucking belief. if you have some TNT injectable this is easy, the work is done for you. if you don't, then get yourself fucking pumped to hell and when you go to the gym make an event of it. don't just go through the motions. really get yourself psyched up to go. then rip it apart. literally, rip that shit fucking apart.

I train every 4th day when I was off.

Example:

 Mon, Thu, Sun, Wed, Sat etc

When on now (no plan of comming off as of yet) I train every other day for a few days then take 2 days off. Around 5-7 weeks I usually have 3-4 days off also but that is more because I am usually out of the country, however this travelling will be decreasing soon so I may play around with this.

Example:

Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun, Mon, Thu


My training style looks like this:

Back & Triceps

Legs - Isolation Movements (Extensions, Ham Curls, Calf raises)

Chest & Biceps

Shoulders

Legs - Compound (Legs Press, Squats)

I will occasionally throw in some dead lifts on their own day and sometimes I will just focus on a singular muscle group in one session say like chest, but this is not that often. I stick to a hand full of exercises, I lift heavy for usually 4 sets and always aim increase reps or poundage every session of which 95% of the time I am successful, even if it is only 1 rep. I record everything in a book also.

Same regimen with reduced volume off cycle. Intensity same.

Everything is completed only once a week - eod. Except chest. It overlaps with shoulders and tris. So i hit it twice a week. Plus chest strength lags, so one day is to just test the lifts.

I'm the same. I'm seem to be able to hit everything twice a week these days with one off day.

with teh disclaimer that i just started TRT (125mg EW), i have to say that respectfully i dont agree with your statement, specially the "EXACTLY" part.

if you meant to say that you train with the "SAME PHILOSOPHY" on or off, then i would agree. My philosophy is to listen to my body,for example when i hit chest, i'll be hitting it again 4 days later at the earliest, but if my chest is too sore, taht means i havent recovered yet, therefore i will give myself a rest day and do cardio, and doing chest on the 5th or 6th day. And when the Test kicks in, i will be using the same philosophy, hitting the same bodypart only when there is a mild soreness left ( which shows that i have adequetly rested it).

But for you to say you train the EXACT same way on or off either means
1) you either have superior genetics, and a helluva recovery rate
2) your not training as hard as you can on the juice ( because you train the exact same way without it)
3) you train and push too hard when your "off"

im not sure how the rest think in this regards

In Local Hero's case it's option #1.  8)

I usually train 4 days a week on or off, listen to my body and train accordingly. It's almost always heavy weight, medium reps and volume 3/4. Other times it's high volume, higher reps and going or the pump. I don't think there's any point dragging your ass to the gym, if your not going to war, might as well stay at home playing x-box...

Some years ago this teen 'bad ass' asked me a question, that i first thought was a joke: 'why train for years when you can just inject synthol?' This guy trains like old people fuck and takes like six months off the gym every year to avoid over training...

I don't agree with you though, better to go to the gym and do a slightly lighter WO or just some 30mins of cardio then to stay home in front of TV.

TV --> junk food --> ice cream --> looking like crap.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There's always room for improvement.

I usually go every 2 days, sometimes every 3-4 if I am really sore, and I am getting sick of having to eat so much food to recover.

I train differently from most people.

Yes you're right but, when i go to the gym i really want to push myself. I think an occasional 'lighter' day is OK, but if you want to really improve you need to train hard, no way around it. I wrestled until i was about 20 and my coach always said (to everyone): 'when you come to train, you will train and train hard, not play around.' (Bad translation).

I get your point, that it's better to do something than nothing, but 'cruise' too often and you will never progress.

plateauing sucks, you seriously do need to confuse a muscle group every few months with innovative or creative ways to train

lucking mma keeps me training so many things, wrestling, grappling, kickboxing, weights and cardio, when I plateau after a few months  I just change my focus and when I go back to a fully trained aspect after rotating to another routine, I am in need of some work and then I ca make gains after I am back at the level when I switched

ma is insane for fitness, but it's not good for powerlifting or bbing, or visa versa
