I train every 4th day when I was off.
Example:
Mon, Thu, Sun, Wed, Sat etc
When on now (no plan of comming off as of yet) I train every other day for a few days then take 2 days off. Around 5-7 weeks I usually have 3-4 days off also but that is more because I am usually out of the country, however this travelling will be decreasing soon so I may play around with this.

Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun, Mon, Thu
My training style looks like this:
Back & Triceps
Legs - Isolation Movements (Extensions, Ham Curls, Calf raises)
Chest & Biceps
Shoulders
Legs - Compound (Legs Press, Squats)
I will occasionally throw in some dead lifts on their own day and sometimes I will just focus on a singular muscle group in one session say like chest, but this is not that often. I stick to a hand full of exercises, I lift heavy for usually 4 sets and always aim increase reps or poundage every session of which 95% of the time I am successful, even if it is only 1 rep. I record everything in a book also.
