This is so true...

This is so true...
Wow. That's the first time I EVER heard that dude make a valid point. He started to meander and blather fighting off the urge to say something he felt was interesting but overall this is a refreshing first time making some sense.
-
he is spot on
-
Dumb-ass Kai comparing himself to a soldier or a cop. Some "athlete". Soldiers don't make videos fucking grapefruits.
-
that's some real sh*t right there. Can't say I never thought ronnie was crazy as hell..........especially after watching him eat those nuclear HOT as grits he eats. ;)
-
The more vids I see of Kai,the more I like the guy.
-
;D
You fucker! ;D
-
Dumb-ass Kai comparing himself to a soldier or a cop. Some "athlete". Soldiers don't make videos fucking grapefruits.
He was referring to Ronnie, who was a real athlete, line backer in college.
-
Some ppl here totally miss the point of what he said.... ::)
Kai is a great athlete and a very smart fella... a guy that really struggle too get where his at.... much respect for the man.
-
Heavy is relative. ::)
-
So it's clear now that kai eats people for HUGE mass gains. RIPS the heads right off his victoms while holding them high, he sucks every last drop of gh dry outta those bloody skulls!
-
I've watched the full video. What Kai doesn't understand is that Ronnie is a man of faith and he doesn't rely on rage. Kai can only speculate because he knows what it would take HIM to get under 800 lbs.
Ronnie is about as mild as any man to have walked the earth, and you only have to watch any of his videos, interviews or meet him to know this. Rage isn't in his heart. I think his ability comes from an intense faith.
Oh, and boatloads of steroids and other drugs. Those help too.
But rage?...makes for a good story, but it's not true.
Perhaps Kai feels this way because his motivation comes from that place. Both grew up without fathers, so of course that could have started all of this. But it couldn't have fuelled Ronnie to 8 Mr. O titles...hatred, anger and rage always burns out pretty quick, nothing long-lasting can come out of it.
-
whats this drug addicted gay for pay hypocrit talking about ? lmao rage ? yea alot of men have rage in them, wtf causes you to fuck a fruit on cam for moeny to afford drugs to grow more muscles on your already obese frame ????
-
I do it! 8)

You clearly haven't tried to reach the absolute limits of your strength's, in the gym in particular. What you find is that most people that bench 2 plates are all the ones that say..." ya I think I will hit the gym today" the ones that press 3 plate usually have a set routine for the gym, for 4 plates most people will rely on some sort of egotistic or pride related momentum, bragging rights if you will, to fuel their goals and thrive on any related attention to achieve an once of "glory" (for lack of a better term).
The first time I benched 500, I was thinking of the day in advance, slept good, woke up and started eating like a madman, then put on my favourite track suite, downed 2 liters of coke (forced it down), then popped about half a bottle of ephedrine and 5 caffeine pills, felt like shit till I started lifting and then felt like I can break through a brick wall, finally time to hit up five plates, some good music, belts, gloves, bandanna, and yelling "I am going to war" finally smashed it for a double,
Thinking now,... I see how foolish I was acting and pretty silly too but everything involving a lift of that magnitude requires the fire within, It's something we have built for destruction certainly not an instinct we have to water the garden, this is what Kai was referring to ,spot on big time

Case in point, have ya ever seen a happier guy in the gym?...I haven't. Kai misses the point.

I agree that what you say works for you, probably the same for Kai...but not for Coleman. IMO, of course, how would I know, but from what I've seen over the years, Ronnie is about the most happy go-lucky 'aw shucks' bodybuilder, probably ever. Certainly the only Mr O like that, except for maybe Larry Scott?...who knows.
The point is that Kai thinks it's rage that motivates Ronnie to lift what he does, but to me it's clearly not. It's his competitive drive, it's the confidence that comes from having a talent for this kinda stuff and that being Mr O brings. It's his peace that gives him his strength, not rage. I mean, Ronnie doesn't swear. That should tell you something...Kai is learning, though, and if any of his latest interviews show, he's mellowing out.

I do it! 8)
Never seen that Video :o :o :o :o God damn....Dont think youre going to Dispute hes Certainty the Biggest and Strongest MR O to Date...Looks like a super-sized Black Superman with that Super-suit on Incredible Strength must of been from 2003-2004?.
-

Yea Ronnie is pretty damn happy. And nothing to it, but to do it!
I personally think kai was depleted, shooting tren ace 250mg ed with halo and had no idea what he was saying
-
Kai was spot on , Ronnie isn't as mild as you guys think...huge ego ;D
-
Dumb-ass Kai comparing himself to a soldier or a cop. Some "athlete". Soldiers don't make videos fucking grapefruits.
I wonder is Kai even graduated high school?.......I wouldn't be shocked if his education level is no higher than a 9th Grader

Good post.

This reminds of the sports century done on ray lewis years back when a reporter guy says pre game guys are getting ready, listening to music, getting pumped and he looks over at ray lewis and he is in tears.
Said the guy takes himself to the darkest place he can, thinks about his friends that were murdered, the suffering....etc and works himself into pure fury of rage.
Those who know understand, its a switch you can turn off and on. Most don't get it though.

good post, especially the bold, people don't understand this, this is why there are only a few people who can throw around 800. LOL at people thinking Ronnie is a nice guy and timid, of course he behalves accordingly but the amount of stimulants you have to take to break your barriers is enough to kill an elephant, sorry guys you have to be a fucken animal to even survive the anxiety, 30 ephedrine's and 5 caffeine pills, your mentality ain't fucken flowers here, it's fucken "go for the kill" mentality, Ronnie is no different, can't believe people don't get it. Someone here said he is a man of faith, King David is more a man of faith and he literally cut peoples dicks off(and their balls too) he didn't do it to just 1 person's but hundreds, unreal where Ronnie's brain has to travel to pull these incredible feats out, the only difference between him and Branch is Branch doesn't care to hide what he is thinking and Ronnie does
-
looks pretty angry and aggressive here gettin psyched for this lift
-
Kai is spot on ... coleman just hides it very well
... I remember watching bfto 2003 the year coleman destroyed everyone on stage
after the 02 olympia everyone said he would lose anyway before he started his leg workout at his home gym,
walking through the kitchen picked up flex with him gunter and culter on the front looked at the cover to psyche himself up quietly
also while working out he keeps playing that hip hop song , I aint never scared ....
also notice before he squats and deadlifts that 800lbs .... he asks for a slap.....
trust me like kai said there has to be rage in there... any serious trainer knows that
-
Ronnie greatest Mr. O ever!

looks pretty angry and aggressive here gettin psyched for this lift
2:10 minutes...smiling like a schoolboy. I don't see any anger in the earlier spots, just some yelling and shouting, but nothing nearly as depressing looking as a guy like Kai or Branch when they're getting ready to lift.
I'm just laughing my ass off that he's been saying "ain't nuthin but a peanut!" since NINETEEN NINETY FUCKING FOUR!!! ;D ...hilarious!
Anyways, call it what you want and yes, many MANY powerlifters do go to dark places, but I'm just voicing my opinion that in Ronnie's case, it doesn't appear that way.
Branch had a chip on his shoulder and it shows in his training. Kai is the same. When you watch Kai train, you can tell he's suffering. Branch, not so much but nobody enjoys training the way Ronnie does, at least from what it looks like on the outside.
Do you really think that Ronnie is the kind of guy who could harbour some dark demons (like Kai) and we wouldn't have seen a trace of it on stage, in interviews or training videos?
Kai should (and it seems as of lately he is) look to the positives of Ronnie's training. When I say it's faith, it's obvious to me that guys like Ronnie, Brian Dobson and Lee Haney all derive (and give thanks to) their faith in God as to why they can do what they do. Ronnie has said this himself when talking about Haney. That's the part that they keep more private, their faith...not their rage.
To each his own, but I've always respected the guys who can go in, get the job done in the gym without looking like they're going to murder someone (like a Craig Titus or even Dorian Yates).
Remember, in the original Gold's there was NO music...none! And yet you had the greatest bodybuilders of all time in there, getting the job done. Now THAT takes mental discipline, IMO.
The happier guys just always seem to be loving what they do in the gym...even the hardcore animals, screaming and yelling, but that's different than tapping into inner rage to make a lift. Reminds me of a guy like Layne Norton...wtf? Does he really need the whole circus atomsphere to train?...man, I think I'd rather be ON steroids than have to go to wherever the fuck he 'goes' to 'get in the zone' for his lifts.
Bottom line for me is that I look at a guy like Kai, a guy who's killing himself in the gym, and I can see why he would think that Coleman must have some dark place he goes to for motivation. I think the reality is much different, and maybe Kai could learn something from that. I ain't sayin he should get his ass in church, but he's tried everything else; might not hurt at this point.
-
@ 1:00
1:22 ...puts it in his BIBLE, then...let's it go. That's different than what Kai is getting at, I think. This Lewis guy seems like a pretty positive dude. Unlike Kai, most times, even though he looks like he's getting better.
-

by letting it go he goes into a complete fit of rage, that is what he means. He's not sitting there content his friends were murdered and people suffer..etc and is at peace....no..he goes into a rage. He was quoted as calling it "controlled fury" once on the radio down here.
Evander Holyfield is as positive guy as it gets, but he has a raging demon inside him that made him do the impossible at times and he was not taking no shit from anybody in that ring when he channeled that demon...that is what Kai is referring too. That evander we will never meet. Mike Tyson is the polar opposite, he used intimidation and brute strength.....evander was a pure dog from birth....that quiet guy that would take you to the woodshed if necessary.
-
I`ve known and seen powerlifters and bodybuilders who would scream, headbutt walls or the bar, slap each other, punch stuff, shake the bar aggressively, and other crazy shit before a big lift,on the other hand,I`ve seen Glen Chabot do a triple on the bench with 600 and he was relatively calm while psyching up.
These guys could be cool,or assholes outside of the gym,but even the coolest most calm guys put themselves into an almost hypnotic state before attempting big numbers.........lots of them use rage as a motivator.
-
You don`t have to be a prick to people outside the gym in order to summon up rage inside the gym.

interesting thread

I think the ones that disagree with Kai are confused by the word rage in the way Kai means it towards Ronnie. Kai doesn't mean the type of rage where your girlfriend tells you to shut up then you slap her in face and put a hole in the wall, there are different forms of rage and you can be a man of faith and have rage, in fact Jesus himself went into a fury of anger at the temple mount and flipped all the tables.

It's true though. 800 pounds sounds like alot but he had tons of gear on and it was a mere knee bend. Biggest squat ever made with equipment is 1250, and that was deeper than Ronnie's squat.

Fuck Yeah..They just shoot some children's in the head, which is far far better than fuck the grapefruit. They do videos where they are urinating on the dead body's of the enemy, which is far far better..there is plenty of examples which prove how good they really are..
