Every 3-4 months I have a chest workout and just for the hell of it, I grab two plates per side and do 1 big set to failure usually ending up between 30-40 reps, well off to the gym, goal is forty.
My best 225 lift was 46 reps, How many reps have you done 225?

Merely a warm up for an average getbigger.
Most people here bench 600lbs for reps, they warm up with 300, all natural of course.
100lbs dumbell flies until you fall asleep out of boredom, no problem, all on one meal a day, no supps.

Before I retired on occasion I would work out at a gym during lunch. Getting changed in the locker room 5 guys came in. One complained what a pain it was to load the leg press. I asked what type of weight are you talking about. He said nothing crazy just 900lbs to 1000lbs. Another guy piped in that they better get bigger dumbbells because the 120lbs were to light.
Watching the guy leg press he had the back board so high he barely bent his knees. I wasn't impressed. He would have gotten a much better workout if he put 500lbs on the machine with a low back board and bent his knees in a decent range of motion. I really believe a soccer mom could have done what he was doing in that leg press.
The other guy got to incline dumbbell benches. He stopped 6 to 8 inches short on the down stroke. I really doubt he could have handled 90lbs if he wasn't ego lifting.

I haven't done it in a while but about a year ago I did around 19 or something. I know I can bench 170kg/375lbs as of last week though. New PB. Not too bad for a 6'5" dude

haha lol, I have been called out so many times and have posted video's before, benching 405, for 8, 315 for 24, on flat bench and have youtube on the decline benching 405 for 13 dropping a plate and 315 for 8 in a single drop set, world class=ya right, not even close bro, I am done posting videos over and over, if you insist then I will pm you a link I guess, but I've been here for 6 years obviously I know better then to make claims on getbig and not be able to back it up,...
7 plates dead and 5 plates bench for a single aswell,......oh and BTW I got 37 reps yesterday should smash through 46 in the next 6 weeks as I am ready to gain 25 lb 8)

I haven't done it in a while but about a year ago I did around 19 or something. I know I can bench 170kg/375lbs as of last week though. New PB. Not too bad for a 6'5" dude

I can hit 24 with 225, but 375 would get stapled to my chest. Lucky bastard.

Realistically, about 12-15 reps

about 25-30 if I do it 'combine style' but my shoulders would explode
maybe 20 if I do every rep with perfect control and a pause.. might try it today.

Back in the day (early up to the late 90s) we'd go to failure with that weight coming down from 4 plates eachside and the old 2.5kg collars (185kg) downwards to 160kg, 140kg, and flush-out with 100kg (220lbs or so)....anywhere from as little as 35 upwards to 45 or so on the day, that weight was a afterthought way back when although our form with bad.

A lying contest, very ingenious? I try it once years back, and it was quite boring, so I fell to sleep at 134 rep, but the guys told me that I continued while sleeping and they wake me up at 1587 rep because my snoring was too loud for them. What can I say? This is true story, ask anyone..

Come on man. Your username is "naturalbodybuilder" and you can do 30reps with two plates. Are those kind of naturals so common in your gym that you're not sure if that is impressive or not.

Judging by the incredible amount of reps with 225lbs I have read on this thread I bet we have a lot of 400lbs plus benchers here. Next question to ask is who here can run a sub 4.5 40 and who has to tuck it in their sock when they walk so they don't trip over it?

OK fine you guys got me, I was just trying to show off I really can't bench that much, I am lying ::). Check this one out then,...onetimehard1 on youtube, had a few others on youtube including one of me doing 225 for 25 on the incline and 225 for 41 on flat but I have to re post them, give me a few days.
Ya I know it's decline, I know crappy form , ya I know I have a dumb hair cut, but either way this video will show I can move weight, 225 is feather weight.

Ok, done it tonight. 11 reps on my own, 2 spotted. This was after being on the rowing machine for 30min, not that it would've made a ton of difference, but I thought I'd put it out there. I think I'm good for at least a few more reps but I need to feel very strong.

I think you probably lost 3-4 reps, 30 min rowing will definitely bring down some strength
