Re: Alzado's Strength.
Apparently, Alzado for many years was'nt all that strong relative to his size. There use to be a "strongest man" contest for NFL players, I believe Alzado bowed out of a few events at the last minute during the 1982 event rather than take last place.
From a few accounts, this hurt his ego, and caused him to really bust his hump in the gym in the years after that contest.
For what it's worth, the late 70's-early 80's Steelers were probably the players in the league.

It always amazes me how much bitching goes on, on bodybuilding boards. I respect anyone who trains regulary and tries to follow a nutrition regime that flies in the face of the sugar crazed diets that are prevalent in society today.
It does not hurt to be positive sometimes!

My mistake:
"If you're tits are natural and large, then you obviously have never really trained your chest much and got down to very low bodyfat levels. I only got back what I once had naturally. I don't see why I should settle for a flat chested man looking pecs, when I once had a lovely natural C cup. So yes I had to buy them back. And I went a bit bigger too, since it was the same price...haha

Wrong again. That was something like my 8th post. Here is my first post ever on getbig.
Hi, tight booty here. That photo was taken when Dennis Wolf visited Australia on the Gold Coast in Oct 2008. I simply had a photo taken with him, that's all. And just to clear a few things up...I am not 50, I am actually 41 and paid for my own breast implants with my own money. So gh15 or Nassar (what do you prefer to be called?) you may have alot of knowledge but you know very little about me. Yes I have always enjoyed reading your posts, you are very entertaining but I don't always agree with everything you say. I still believe that you can build 19 inch arms naturally if you have great genetics and are very dedicated.

There are a million discussions as to whether Ronnie can or cannot be beaten at the next olympia, as every year he shows up he wins.
Well the same could be said for Jay. Since 2001 only one man has been able to beat Jay, thats Ronnie. People are always asking "will this be Jay's year to beat ronnie?" but what about all the other pro's out there? Are Jay and Ronnie that far ahead of the pack that they should be considered independantly from everyone else?
It seems for the last few years there has been one competition for 1st place and another for 3rd.

I favor HIT/Heavy Duty. More time efficient, more recovery time. I never grew training more than 3 days a week- 4 at the most for a few weeks only. HST would be my second choice, the other is too many lifting days a week for me, no time to recover the whole system.

the first post i ever made.. 16 years old !!
i have been lifting for about a year and a half, and am still struggling to find a good routine.
right now im doiing a four day, repititous cycle, with out any reps.
it goes like this:
1.chest
2.arms
3.legs
4.shoulders and back
the problem is that my workout sessions are wayy too long(for my schedule at leasst). on shoulder and back day, im normally in the gym for an hour and 45 minutes. on arms day an hour and a half. legs and chest arent a prob, and are normally an hour.
a simple soltion might be to stretch my workouts to 5 or 6 days...and move it around a little bit. but, my recovery time is really quite astounding, i normally recover from a workout in 3 days. and im really killing myself in the gym, too. like, on leg days, i am never able to walk right coming out, qnd have thrown up before...arm days i can never fit into my t-shirt.....ect.
so by stretching my routine out, it would kill my gains.
so, my question is: would reducing my protien intake, slown down my recovery time enough to stretch out my schedule, and by doing so, would it hurt my gains? would this be recommendable?

I remember getting incredibly intrigued at the "I'm doing a four day work out cycle without completing any reps" comment he made.
I figured the next state of the art workout guru was suddenly in our midst!
It wasn't until a few quotes later where he said "meet me behind the 7 11 in Manteca if you don't believe me, bitch and we'll settle it" that he was not the man to be fucked with either! 8)
