21 yo and already balding. :-\
I lost about 2/3 of hair over the past 2-3 years. It still looks ok because I had a lot of hair but I can already see that on top of my head I have like 1/4 of hair compared to sides and back of my head.
Is there any hope how to stop this process? I would be probably OK with it if I was black, but bald white guy doesnt look that good as black fella.
Father is bald, one brother is bald at 25 yo.

all the dudes in my family are bald. i had the most til 36, then it got ugly. Cut it short, keep it tight on the sides/back to hide the spot, and enjoy as much as you can on top. If you lift and have a tan, you'll do fine. embrace it.

I finally dropped weight and I look OK now. I use clippers to keep my hair in the buzz cut range. White guys who are balding need to have short hair, they should have a low BF%, and they should try to cultivate a tan.

Some people have really good results with topical treatments like 5% minoxidil. Google some of the results and you'll be amazed what its done for those who respond to it. Theres also finasteride which lowers dht levels but it can have negative systemic effects in some.
Either way , if you respond to any of the hair loss treatments you'll need stay on top of it on daily basis for the rest of your life. Does your hair mean that much to you?

Its not only the shape of your head but also your features that will determine if you can pull it off. You gotta have a more mathematically symmetrical face because without the hair your weaknesses will stand out more......size, proportion and symmetry ...bbing related now lol

Otherwise try the propopo/finasteride treatment - as already mentioned you have to be a responder and as of my understanding if you stop using it, the effect/hair vanishes too.
For me balding really started with 28, though it was negligible because I used to shave it off since 16 and only had longer hair twice. Currently I let it grow so that I can amuse myself when looking in the mirror.

thanks! I'd only been training 2x a week for months. Getting serious about it now. eating more veggies, more shakes, less junk, maybe 1-2 glasses of wine a week.

well depends what circles you are moving in. some people in good white collar jobs think you are a bit rough..at least here. Well i have a reputation anyway with the Authorities here. suppose my shaved head and tattoos do not help. I find it positive with women..and i have had very fruitful results with educated women too. One told me she likes my accent and direct almost barbaric ways. I admit eating out i am a pig. can be as educated as they like but they want a man to whip up their skirt and fuck them hard...feel protected. with other men itīs mixed really but mainly more caution and respect towards me. hey thanks. it's all nutrition, really. i still have only been training 2 days a week. just staying hydrated. eating veggies. drinking shakes. sleeping more. I looked like shit before not because I didn't lift enough - but because i was eating fast food and passing on the healthy stuff.
I've still only been training twice a week (I admit!) but just cutting out the fast food, adding veggies, etc - I'm changing a ton.
NOW the goal is making time to train 4-5 days a week. I made it 4 days last week and I'm on pace to do it again :)

Rushfit is a lot shorter but more intense than P90x. Only 1 cd is fighting stuff, the rest is circuit training w dumbbells and compound movements with little or no rest at all.
The Bas rutten is fighting stuff, a little less intense and more cardio based.

You and me both on the nutrition aspect.
I love my fast food way too much to ever get really lean. Add 2 or 3 drinks on most nights and it makes it that much more difficult.
I do get get out and run a couple miles 2 or 3 times a week but maybe I'll try out one of those programs 33 showed and up the intensity a little bit.

These days they can take donor hair follicles from anywhere on your body and once the follicle is placed in the scalp the hair will change appearance. Coarse looking pubes, ass hair etc will resemble the hair on your scalp once it's placed there. No bullshit btw this is true.

OP could try propecia just to see if it does anything. Some people dont respond well but the ones who do can actually get a pretty decent amount of hair back. If youre rich you could always do the transplants, shit looks good nowadays. Man I hope I dont go bald :(

all the dudes in my family are bald. i had the most til 36, then it got ugly. Cut it short, keep it tight on the sides/back to hide the spot, and enjoy as much as you can on top. If you lift and have a tan, you'll do fine. embrace it.

Then at 36 (last year) I began to use Head and Shoulders every day for 2 months and I began to see through the top front of my hair to my scalp. I stopped taking it right away, but ever since then, I've lost a shitload amount of hair on top and in front that it's ridiculous. Probably doesn't help that I've lost 74 pounds in the last half a year too, but damn, it went QUICKLY when I hit 36 and now at 37, it's night and fucking day :'(

I started losing my hair in my late teens. By my early twenties I was already looking pretty bald on top. I cut my hair short and just went with it.
Do you think it is harder to adjust to baldness when you start losing your hair later in life, like you did? Maybe losing your hair in your thirties you equate it more to becoming middle aged.
My son is nearly 50 years old and still has pretty much all his hair. His son is in his late teens and like I did, has very pronounced widow's peaks. Seems male pattern baldness skipped a generation.

I still have a thick dense head of hair at 37, my hair resembles my dads, who still has thick hair at 75. His brother however is bald. ???
It has slowly receded at the corners of the forehead for the past 15 years, giving me a "manly" hairline. Same hairline as my father at the moment.
I have been on steroids since the last year not stop ranging from 200 to 500mg test plus some other steroids added in here and there, and haven't really notice an increased rate of receding.
People keep mentioning that they notice hairs in the shower or on the pillow or falling out when they comb. I've never had this phenomenon in my life. If I try pull out the hair on the top of my head right now, nothing happens, no hairs will dislodge.
When I was younger I used to bitch about how fast and thick my hair grew which made it hard to style and need cutting at least once a month. But it was a blessing in hindsight.
I have a fear that one day some gene will kick in and my hair will start rapidly falling out overnight as happens to some people.

If you go bald it's showing in your early 20ies and when you buzz your hair you make it another 5-7 years. After that you get out "lucky", if bald fits you, or you go the transplant route.
If I had been a "hair guy" I would have saved every penny for a transplant.

I suspect one can start balding at any age. Although my son who is nearly 50 years old has pretty much a full head of hair still, the crown of is head is a little thinner as of late. He's exceptionally healthy.

Back when I still had enough hair for a barber to cut, I had a barber tell me to hang my head off the end of the bed and brush my hair to stimulate the follicles so I'd grow new hair. Another barber suggested I make a solution containing cayenne pepper and apply it to my scalp to grow hair. I was so stupid, I actually tried these things, which clearly were nonsense. In fact brushing the shit out of my hair might have accelerated the balding process, who knows.

I take a ton of fish oil pills because I'm not a fan of fish, and it makes my hair really shiny in a good kinda way. Blackseed oil as well (nigella sativa). THe latter is also good for inflammation, I take the life extension black seed oil w/ 500mg curcumin extract and its more potent than aleve imo.
