Embarrassing. Pats look like the team to beat this year.
-
they are pounding them, but that 27 yard pass interference call was absolute bullshit. Brady doesn't need any gifts
-
So much for recording it to watch later...
-

Agreed. As much as I like the Texans, I've been a Pats fan for a long time. I'm happy to see NE winning. I want to see NE stomp a mudhole in Frisco next week as well. That'll be good for my Hawks. ;D
-
seahawks has 2 pass int in 4th to beat pats
giants get lots of gimmies
I think giant again beat pats for title
giants simply get all calls from refs and no holding calls on them
tuff to beat that
thats why giants have two bowls recently=refs
-

A destructive defense and the most epic plays in SB history beat the Pats, not the refs. Shut the fuck up about it already. Also, the tuck rule says hi.
-
Brady is a bitch, always begging for calls, and the way he looks at the crowd and spikes the ball on his QB sneaks. He's got a nice life, but I don't respect how he conducts himself.
-

Yep, talk about Screwed...Oakland got fucked in the ass with no grease that year.
and yeah, the refs put stickum on David Tyree's helmet so the ball would stick
-
well that's it. done. good job Texans ::)
-

Eh, he's always very respectful in his interviews and talking about his competitors. I think he just gets really fired up during games. He's not as much of a shit talker like some other guys in the league.
-

I'm a New Yorker and I can't say anything bad about the guy. He's a competitor, and probably the best QB ever.
-
Pats looking like the real deal?!!
lol, I don't think that was in question but it was for the Texans.

Pats always come up big in "statement" games like this. Houston rolled in ass the new Bad-ass team on the block and Brady erased them

true... I still feel like fucking puking tho...
-
i would still bet on Giants to beat new england in a one-game super bowl face-off, no matter what the regular season looks like.
Pats just don't come thru in big games. If they're not dominating, they're intimidated.

Really Rob? Really? ::)

holy shit 42-14
are the pats getting better?

eat a pack of muddy dicks
2 pass int in 4th both on left slant at 8-9 yards when 5 yards is the hand on buffer an u know it punkass

exactly
because the league ahs shown it will tweak the resf to let the inferior giants win
NY is big market
-
Really Rob? Really? ::)
well, not anymore they don't. They were incredible a decade ago... now? They're like the Colts now. Awesome in regular season, maybe they'll make noise in playoffs, just not tough and untouchable like they once were. texans are soft as a popcorn fart, despite the record.
In a playoff game right now, i'd pick broncos, steelers over pats.

Giants know how to foil Belicheat's spying. The Texans are noobs to this.

Steelers just got their ass handed to them by freaking San Diego lol

I always lolz at the hate on the Pats for doing their homework.

true, but rapelisburger was just getting back.
last year, PIT was super injured, or they would have defeated tebow, then had a good chance against pats.
pats can make it to the super bowl this year... a BYE week, face a good opponent and win, then beat whatever creampuff cinderella destroys houston this year.
but against the best of the NFC? I'd rather see a tougher AFC team get there. ravens or pit can run with giants or packers.
-

Forgetting San Francisco?

they're good but i think Giants have their number in the playoffs.
Pack could beat giants. I dont know who else could in the NFC.

Packers got destroyed twice already by the giants this year in reg season game and last years playoff.
Giants are good , very good but also one of the luckiest teams on the planet!

seahawks assraped arizona for the franchise best shutout and points in a game.

Yeah, it was a high point as a die hard seahawks fan.
-
NFC seems to be more competitive this year than the AFC. I agree that the Pats seem to function better past the regular season as underdogs. Only in 2004 they held their status as favorites through the while thing. But I can't see which AFC team will stop them on their way to the SB. But then, I'b pick the Giants, the niners or GB over them.
-
You know the old addage, if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying. ;D
Dungee said on TV most good coaches will do that, only they are not as bold (right out in the open) like Belichick did.
-
Giants are one of the rare teams that plays better with their backs to the wall.
-

Belichick gives no fucks.

This is the best Patriots team ever, but that doesn't mean they'll win it all.
I think the Giants win the NFC again.

This is the best Patriots team ever
Thats a pretty bold statement there Tre
-
Thats a pretty bold statement there Tre
Better than the 2004 or 2007 team? No way...Not even close. The defenses on those teams were far superior.
-
2007 Pats were the best offense in history.

Bay moving to Houston as we speak.

Says the fan of the team that won one SB because of the tuck rule, and hasn't ever won one since they weren't allowed to video tape the other team's plays.
I have no Patriot/Brady hate, but dipshits statements like the ones you make give pause. Just admit they beat the Pats and move on.
-
Other than Brady, this team is completely different than the SB winning teams yet they continue to be dominate. Not sure what the fuck Belichek puts in their water but he is an amazing coach. Hate the pats through.
-

He puts his players in spots where they can maximize their talent, drafts/trades well, has one of the best QBs ever, and plays in a shitty division.
-

It's the power of the hoodie. If anyone ever stole Belichicks hoodies, the Pats would be forgotten into the annals of the history of the foozeball.
-

what we don't see is the gamesmanship that goes on during the game between players. Brady gets fired up when the other team are trash talking him. In fact, Brady is probably one of the most respectful QB's in the league.
-
Its the Pats and the Giants again this year. Both teams know how to ramp up at the end of the year and into the playoffs. This Pats San Fran game coming up this week should be pretty interesting.
-
on their way to their 6th superbowl, and maybe 7th or 8th before brady retires
-

Plenty of instances of them calling the tuck rule in later games. It's a legit rule. Stupid, but legit.
-

Pats just don't come thru in big games. If they're not dominating, they're intimidated.
They have so many records over the last decade plus, that it is laughable. Plus 5 superbowl appearances (including 3 wins). They now have 10 consecutive years of at least 10 wins or more. They are the elite of the elite. Fuck the Giants. They win a superbowl one year and are liable to miss the playoffs the next. The Patriots are in it every single year.
-

I'm tired of that shit. Even Bill Parcells admitted tha almost every team breaks the rules to gain an advantage. The Pats just got caught.

Patriots have a 25-1 record in december or some ridiculous shit like that
They are that fucking good

They are actually undefeated in the second half of the season (last 8 games of a season) since 2010. Currently 21-0.

Joe SPAGETTI AND MEATBALLS flaco isn't in bradys elite Pedistal , only Payton Manning is
And Aaron Roger can go play elite QB self glossing with flaco if he wants too
-

Lol, the Ravens are on the swift decline. That old ass defense isn't getting any younger/better. It will only get worse once Ray, Ed, and T-Sizzle leave for good. Harbaugh is also a fucking moron for not getting Rice the ball more.
-

Agreed. Payton and Brady are pretty much alone on tier 1.

Make noise in the playoffs? You retarded? They have been in 2 of the last 5 superbowls. That is not just making noise.
but they didn't win em. They got to the big stage and choked. What happens when they lose in the SB this year, and he's .500 in super bowls?
-
Here is another interesting tidbit. This year will be Tom Brady and Belichick's 10th playoff appearance together. In the 6 seasons that they held either the 1 or 2 seed, they made it to the superbowl 5 of those years. In the years that they were seeded 3rd or lower, they failed to make the superbowl. That is why having the 1 or 2 seed is important to the Patriots.
-
but they didn't win em. They got to the big stage and choked. What happens when they lose in the SB this year, and he's .500 in super bowls?
Look, I'll take getting to the superbowl anyday. Sure it sucks to lose but only two teams make it.

Giants have WON two superbowls in the last five years, and are the CURRENT champs..there is no arguing with that.
are they as flashy as the Pats? hell no, but they win when they have to. Call it luck, whine like an idiot about penalties... a win is a win. to say the Giants aren't a very good team is stupid. they hung 42 on the Saints on the road this past weekend, yeah they suck ::)
-
2007 Pats would like a word with you.
I'm not saying that the 16-0 record was fraudulent, but that season was all about outscoring everyone. They still want to do that, but now, they've got 3 things they didn't have in 2007:
1) more of an ability to make defensive stops when needed
2) far more weapons for Tom Brady all over the field
3) a legit running threat

They aren't lucky, they just have a touch of downs like they're quarterback. They can surely count to potatoe! The Giants have some of the most impressive superbowl runs in history. They are famous for backing in to the playoffs, and then becoming road warriors. I won't bet against them. You guys better hope they aren't actually favored in any playoff games. A team like the Seahawks can beat them.

You better watch your tone son, I seem to remember the Hawk's beating the Pats earlier this year.

I'll give you running the running threat. Far more weapons? Remember, the had Moss who was playing out of his mind (20 td's) Brady was also an all-time great that year 50 Td's to 8 int's. I don't think anyone will break that ratio ever again. The Pats let the pressure get to them in the end that year. They had the "best team ever" "perfect season" riding on that superbowl. It was eerily similar to the Patriots win against "the greatest show on turf" Rams in 2001. Nobody gave the Pats a chance in that game.
-

I say that out of respect. The only knock on the Seahwks is that they will probably have to win games in the playoffs (if they make it) on the road. They are unbeatable (so far) at home this year. With that being said, the Patriots choked that game. They were up by 10 I believe in the 4th. This was earlier in the year when I didn't trust the Pats secondary for shit.

LOL....whatever, I'm a New York fan and I can appreciate Tom Brady and New England, great QB, great organization....they are consistently amongst the best teams in the league for the last decade.
But they are 0-2 against the Giants in Superbowls, The Giants must be doing something right.

Great, if you win you can raise your record to 1-2 against them :D
-
That is why just getting to the superbowl is a great accomplishment. You know why? I'm scared to play the Broncos and Manning. I'm scared to play the Steelers and Big Ben. I'm sure it will be a very close game if the Patriots have to go to the Texans for the AFC championship. That shit ain't going to be easy.
-
Funny is how unimportant Gronkowski is. They seem to be playing better without him there. Goes to show you that the Pats can make an average player look like an all star.
-
Great, if you win you can raise your record to 1-2 against them :D
I actually like the Giants (not my favorite team of course) The Giants are my dad's favorite team (raised in Ithaca NY) So it was a house divided for those two superbowls. Normally, we root for eachothers team.
-
i believe the Patriots havent drafted a first or 2nd round player in many years
-
Ummm, lots of first and 2nd rounders
2012
1st Round (Pick 21) Chandler Jones (DE, Syracuse)
1st Round (Pick 25) Dont’a Hightower (LB, Alabama)
2nd Round (Pick 48) Tavon Wilson (S, Illinois)
2011
1st Round – Nate Solder, OT, Colorado
2nd Round – Ras-I Dowling, DB, Virginia
2nd Round – Shane Vereen, RB, Cal
2010
1 Devin McCourty Rutgers
2 Rob Gronkowski Arizona
2 Jermaine Cunningham Florida
2 Brandon Spikes Florida
-

No way man. Gronk is the best TE in football right now. It helps that we also have Hernandez which easily is in the top 10 for TE. We just need to get them both back at the same time. People need to realise how good a quarterback Tom Brady is. He is not just a system quarterback (Alex Smith is a system quarterback). He is arguably, the best qb of all time.
-

Moss was tight that season and they had Wes Welker between the numbers, but who were the tight ends? Remember, their #3 WR spot was shared by Jabar Gafney and Scrubadub Stallworth. They had NO running attack then. Being 1-dimensional on offense allowed the Giants' to completely disregard the run. Here's the box score:
http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=280203017
Patriots: 48 pass attempts, 16 runs
Giants: 34 passes, 26 runs
Now with Gronk, Hernandez, and Ridley, this team is going to dominate the East for the next several years.

And that is why Belichick is so good. He stockpiled all of those draft picks for years, and he has finally started to use them the last few drafts. 90% of those guys you listed are making major contributions to this years team. He is the best coach I have ever seen.

You're right and maybe my words came out wrong, but let's not lose sight of the fact that Brady is 35yo now. He's in great shape, but this is about the point when we'd expect to start seeing a decline in production, however because of a terrific O-line and the aforementioned players, his effectiveness is going to be extended.
I should have added that they will be SB contenders for at least another 3-4 years, even as Brady begins to approach age 40.

Oh I agree Tre. I am fearing the day that Brady retires , and Belichick steps down. We will probably never have the same level of success again. Just look at the Cowboys for an example.

Fortunately, the rest of the AFC East will still be the same, so the Patriots will be able to dominate by default.

The Jets try, they just hire and draft the wrong people..over and over and over and over and over and over :P
Also be fair, it wasn't too long ago the Jets went to two AFC title games back to back. but they never broke through to be a great team, because their Quarterback can't make things happen in the face of everything falling to shit around him.
Brady can do it, Rothlesburger can do it, the Mannings can do it, Brees can do it, Rogers can....Sanchez, not a chance.
picked the wrong guy. as usual.

Choking in a Superbowl is not showing up and getting blown away by the awe of it. Pats have been in every single game right down to the wire in the Super bowls. And when it comes to the SB, its anyone's game. It's a coin flip. The fact that Pats continuously put themselves in position to be one the teams to compete for the title is basically unheard of. When the Brady Belichick era is over, they will go down as the greatest coach QB combo to ever play the game. We're talking about a decade and then some of being dominate. And they aren't slowing down. They may not have the greatest win lose record in the SB's. But they bring the word dynasty to a whole new level.

Almost as good as the 49ers between 81 and 94.
ALMOST.
I agree that NE is always in it and that's 100 percent Bellicheck.
-

True but the cowboys play in the toughest division as the division leader and winner of the SB was 10-6 in 07 and 9-7 last ;D

Cowboys 92-95, 3 titles and should have been 4 in a row lol
I'm a niners fan but those cowboys would always beat the niners 3-1 in the 90's and Favre would always get raped by them too :D

I only bring up this stuff when I'm dealing with complete dipshits who say the Giants won the game because of the refs. You know I'm not hating and, truthfully, I find myself defending Brady here more often than I want to.
But, it's still a true statement, no matter what lens or angle you try to view it at is. What is fact, is that the Patriots videotaped the other teams' plays, got caught, the NFL felt strong enough about it to fine Bellicek an insane amount of money, and they haven't won since. It is what it is at this point, and is a part of their history.

Great, if you win you can raise your record to 1-2 against them :D
Haha. If that happens every asshole from Mass. will spend the next 10 years acting like the Pats went 3-0 against the G-Men.
-
True but the cowboys play in the toughest division as the division leader and winner of the SB was 10-6 in 07 and 9-7 last ;D
This. Right now the AFC is weak and has been so for the past five years (a 12-4 Pittsburgh struggled to beat a 9-7 Cardinals if I recall for the last AFC SB winner). The NFC seems to be back on top. Problem is NFC teams are kicking the shit out of each other and whoever comes on top might not be healthy enough to stop a healthy AFC champion. I'd bet my money on the Pats right now but they're dominating a very weak division and conference. Peyton Manning is great but to see where the Broncos stand for just that one change in a year compared to the struggling team they were in 2011 should be enough for everyone to see how bad the AFC is.

Go Jets.

This is not the 1980s anymore. Athletes in general don't have the downslide at 35 anymore. There is some funky cell regeneration shit in Germany that a lot of pro athletes do in the offseason. A lot of the top golfers, soccer players, baseball players etc... Apparently it keeps them feeling younger longer. Who knows. Plus the use of HGH which the NFL doesn't test for helps prolong a career.

Exactly... They will jump up and down for the next century talking about how great their "dynasty" is.

True, plus the rules now are intended to keep the QBs upright.

Yeah, they often ignore the fact they haven't won a SB in almost a decade.

Crazy how time flies. Seems like it was a couple years ago that they were winning SB's and making everyone their bitch.

Agreed.
It was the same with the Yankees "drought" from 2001-2008. It gets masked by a couple of WS/SB appearances and a slew of division championships.
-
Yeah, they often ignore the fact they haven't won a SB in almost a decade.
lol but you can't ignore the fact that he won three. The argument that he hasn't won in 8 years is laughable because many times haven't won a single on in decades. I still hate Brady though

I don't think anyone is saying anything to ignore that fact... They have ALWAYS been in it and they definitely had a great run already. I'm just saying that people talk about how great NE is all the time, and they ARE, but they ignore the fact that they haven't won a superbowl in a long, long time.
No one acts like the Giants are so great and they've won 2 in the past 4 years.
Just seems like we need to be more realistic about it... That's all I'm saying.

It's not laughable in the context of a "dynasty" which is what I was referring to. EDIT: see Tu's post above.
Nobody's denying the camera aided wins and domination of the early 2000s. Just saying that you need chanpionships to keep a dynasty going. Not every year, but there's too much time between them here to call the Pats a dynasty, as they are perceived.

They haven't won in 8 years, and the way New England fans carry on you would think The Patriots and not the Giants won last year.

I live 10 minutes from Foxboro stadium and can verify this. Can't blame them, their baseball team is about to miss the playoffs for the fourth year in a row.

Just goes to show you just how atrocious the Patriots were. This is the 10th consecutive year of 10+ win seasons, and still they are barely over .500
-
They were a dynasty. Now, they are just a model of excellence. 8)
I think that's fair.

If they win this year, it would be impossible to look at what they've done since 2000 and not think its a total dynasty for over a decade. I agree though, they need another SB this year or next.

That logic makes the Yankees dynasty go from 96-2011. Would you agree?
-
All I know, is that the 49ers are next to get ass-raped by the Patriots on sunday night!
