i need 10-15 percent more energy to lift just a few more sets
its energy i lack at the end of a workout to keep going, i do a decent half workout but i just need10-15 percent more energy to do just a few more sets
by doing more sets id be leaner as well as maintaining more size becuase ill be keeping a higher volume of exercising on a weekly basis

The 100% Hydrolyzed Whey Protein and Soy Protein 95. Those are GNC's brand. Wait until they go on clearance. Then snatch them up with Gold Card. I'm halfway through a 4-lb jug of Soy Protein 95, that I got for $12 and change.
If you have any friends in the military and they're stationed on a military base, ask them if they can get you to the GNC in the military exchanges. Their prices are a bit lower than the regular GNC stores; plus, you can use your Gold Card every day, not just the first week.

Better yet, grind them up into powder. Mix a cup of oat powder with 1-11/2 scoops of protein powder (depending on brand) and guzzle it down. That's nearly 500 calories and 35-40 grams of protein.
Down 2 to 3 of those, along with your regular meals. That should really help in the calories department.

Soy mimicks estrogen though. There's way better amino acid profiles out there than soy as well, like Hydrolysate and a whole slew of isolates. Soy is inferior in all regards.

Soy doesn't mimic estrogen in men. Plus, it's higher in arginine than whey is.
And, it's quite economical, especially if you get it on clearance as I did. GNC's Hydrolyzed Whey Protein great, too, if you get it on sale.

The average westerner doesn't train 4 times a week. Protein supplements are indeed useful, for those seeking mass and strength.
For example, this was the diet of Leroy Colbert (recognized as the first man to build 21" arms), back in his heyday
- 2 lb beef
- 2 qt milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 can tuna
- 1 lb cottage cheese
- 21/2 lb chicken
Now how many of the folks on Getbig, who Montague called the "whole foodist cult", come anywhere near eating that much protein from regular food?
