This guy is allowed to train like this because of the amount of oil in puts into his muscle. He is the phoniest Mr. Olympia of all time. And the sad fact is that he learnt everything from Jay Cutler. Jay wasn't always a pussy like this here in this video, Jay actually trained hard back in the day. But shortcuts are the new thing in bodybuilding. And Jay is paying the price now with his silly PMMA injections in arms. Jay could have still been Mr. Olympia if she trained old school and didn't get lazy. I myself see Heath as Lazy. Now maybe he's smart doing modest weights knowing the oil will make all the difference in the world. Hell look what Kevin accomplished. intensity has nothing to do with reps and weight...
its to do with how hard you are pushing...if someone can do 8 sets of 20x315 in the same time that this guy does 4 sets then the 4 sets is 50% intensity...
if your max heart rate is being hit or exceeded thats a better measure. if you spew, opr are about to spew, or take a long time to get heart rate back to 120 or so then you are working pretty hard..
going to failure and having minimal rest and keeping reps reasonably low is intense..regardless of the weight used.

thanks man I appreciate it the compliments. Bodybuilding is messed up lol.. I'd rank it 1. genetics 2. drugs 3.diet 4. training. I could take everything in the world and will never look like a Phil. I always tell people Phil could not train his arms for 3 years and no matter what I would do, I still wouldnt have better arms than him. Harsh reality of life.

Ronnie and Cormier were strong as oxen, yet they are broke down now...So, it would probably be in Phil's best interest to do moderate weights..
And I don't think he has PMMA in his arms, if he did, then his arms would look like Rick Pina's.

Cormier is just old and time passed him , levrone is old but could still come back, his body doesn't even look burned out.. Guess everyone should just "blast through" getting ready for competition and after take moderate low dosages for maintanence

No, it's genetics. I have known guys who take more shit than IFBB pros(No I am not exaggerating) and they look like shit. I am not saying drugs are just the finishing touch, but genetics>everything. But yes, included in this is drug response.

As a natty teen I was still stronger and bigger than the majority of this forum, so I won't look like I did but I still will be bigger than most people on earth if I went completely off forever. Of course I don't have an amazing drug response like a Kevin Levrone or Phil Heath, which is part of the reason I will never be a pro, among many others.

I've added 10-15 lbs a year of stage weight since I have been bodybuilding. I think I am growing fine, but thanks for the help anonymous poster and all my videos are higher reps, not 1 reps.

i know couple pros with less mass , quality, and separation than you, basically turning pro is a mere formality for you.
if you can get rock chiseled contest shape, you will be there.

I know have quite a ways to go. Brian Yersky was my training partner for over a year last year and I just recently trained with John Meadows a month ago.. Seeing these guys, who just got their pro card or on the brink, made me realize how far I have to go really. Both are freaks. Just in the last year or two my body has changed a ton, so hopefully it continues in that direction. I definitely need to bring some awesome condition for my next show, something I have always lacked. I plan on doing a national show in 2014, I doubt it but maybe end of this year as well. So that is definitely the main goal is to get shredded at this point it would be needed to even get a look until I add a lot more size in the coming years. I let myself go when I was younger bulking, now I am smartening up big time. If I don't have my abs I start to diet. They are something I have year round visible, grant it not shredded or looking their best. I got up to 260 and felt like I was dying lol, cut it back down to 240s in a few weeks and feel and look much better.

You can stimulate muscle growth by many ways, as shown by Phil Heath and you will be top olympian assuming you take botloads of gear and have good genes and eat right no matter how shitty or unsafe your training is.
Olympic lifters know how to squat, 90% of bodybuilders are clueless except from those who had some olympic lifting background. Even Johnnie Jackson the powerlifter has no idea how to squat which is sad.
With that ROM, 140kg is a joke for me.
BTW if I trained for physique only I wouldn't even bother squatting with more than 100kg, just some sets of ATG squats with 100kg for 20, without belt and that's it for legs :D

People tend to over think things, especially very smart people. The smartest people realize it is very hard to simplify things...
Squats--too many variables to say someone "doesn't know how to squat". Take in account, height, leg length, genetics, weight, the weight you use, reps, sets, and width of legs, and depth. You have a dizzying array of variables that may come into play.
PL and bbers tend to squat differently, different goals.
And Phil's quads and hams are pretty damn good (dense, detailed), regardless of the "boatload of drugs.
Check his first vid, where he had hurt himself on lying leg extensions (something you don't see on video) and check his sets and reps. He does what he needs to do.
