With a weighted 4.2 grade point average and 1230 SAT score, Bryant chose Harvard despite offers by Duke, Florida A&M, and Towson State. As Ivy League schools do not offer athletic scholarships, Bryant received an academic scholarship.[1] Harvard coach Tim Murphy thought that Bryant could be a four-year starter and potentially a professional player and compared Bryant to a Southeastern Conference player.[2] At Harvard, Bryant majored in economics and played 32 games in four seasons. In his senior season, Bryant was named second team All-Ivy League after leading Harvard with eight quarterback hurries and 4.5 tackles leading to losses.[3]

I know but like, is saying "dude got a 4.2" actually supposed to impress people? I'm sure it does, but if you've actually been to college, you know this is pure bullshit. Getting a 4.0 is VERY rare, and above a 4.0??? The vast majority of professors (especially at a top school like harvard) simply DO NOT give extra credit.
It reminds me of like, some washed up gym rat talking about how benched 615 back in the day, raw. ::) okay, buddy... only works on highschool kids who started lifting last week. To everyone else, you just look like a clown.
And LOL @ 1230 SAT getting into harvard, or being paraded as some sort of accomplishment ::) ::) ::)

Desmond may look stupid in the picture, but he's actually pretty smart. He got an academic scholarship to Harvard....not an athletic. Has a 4.2 GPA and a 1250 SAT score and studied in economics.

I never even came close to insinuating that ::)
In fact, I never said anything about the dude... just the morons parading around 4.2 GPA and 1230 SAT as if that means something, when the GPA is obviously fraudulent (if not outright fabricated), and the SAT score is nothing special.

Why is it obviously fraudulent? Do you have info we don't or are you just making shit up? And no, 1230 isn't super awesome. It's good though not Harvard not playing football or basketball good. But who cares. He got in, he was successful/

Harvard is packed to the gills with dudes and dudettes who got 1600 on the SAT, and I strongly doubt more than a very small percentage of them get 4.0s, and probably about 0 of them got "4.2". Yes, my "obviously fraudulent" statement is conjecture, but a 4.2 GPA is ludicrously improbable, for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that most university professors don't give out substantial amounts of extra credit, if any. In my several years at a top school, I never once personally knew anyone with a 4.0... much less some athlete. In my several years at a mid-tier school, where extra credit is doled out (relatively speaking) like candy, I, again, never knew anyone with a 4.0.
I don't really mean to slight this guy at all. I just find the legitimacy of these "incredible scholar athlete" stories highly suspect, yet people seem to love it.

Actually he studied psychology

I think the 4.2 is refering to what he got in highschool since they also mention SAT scores which he did in high school. You get the extra .2 by taking AP classes

That is most likely it. My daughter takes alot of AP classes in high school and she got a 4.7.
