One good lateral hit to Titos surgical knee and he's a done deal. By the day of the fight , Tito will have six months out of ACL reconstruction. At six months, you're about half way through recovery. Almost a ull year before 100%. I have no dog in this fight, but ACL reconstruction is no joke. I have two in my gymnow, one 15 weeks out of surgery and another having surgery om the 2nd.
-
And Tito is a wrestler. With a weak knee, He wont be able to take Rampage down with a half ass double or single
-
Tito still fights? he is damaged goods and has been for years! That willl be a blood bath and herb dean will have to stop that one fast. BTW-how did rampage grow such a big fucking head?
HGH or is he just special?

tito is broke jena took his money and left that is why he took the fight trying to get back on his feet.
-
Tito got together with Jenna J. lol talk about sloppy 3,000th's. she is hot but yuck! would you really want to fuck somebody like that after all that damage has been done? nasty!
-
6th months post ACL reconstruction and he is fighting?? So he started training camp 8-12 weeks prior to that? Bad idea. It takes a full 6th months just to get back to full go.
-
Why do roid heads and lifters love this gay sh*t ?
It's the worse combat sport there is.
One giant advert for energy drinks and sh*t clothing.

I've thought the same way about his cervical and spinal fusions ... :-\ those vertebra can only handle so much.
-
I have blown out both knees six months is NOT enough time that could get really ugly
-
Didn't know that he had back/neck fusion.... that huge head wore those little vertebrae out quickly.
He shouldn't be doing any of this.
He has the typical stiff posture of someone who'se* got back issues - hope gets away in one piece and it was worth it.
*word from the porn industry

This fight would have been better a few years back

Man, I knew he had back surgery but didn't know about the fusion. Shit
-
He went into detail while he was on the Joe Rogan podcast... that's crazy stuff to be messing around with again.. yikes.

I don't see either fighter throwing a lot of low kicks. lol
rampage will throw throw 3. the first will land... the 2nd two won't... and he'll forget all about throwing any more. lol

Coach, you've met the man. Let me ask you, is Tito dumber than a potato?

I wouldn't say that. But he's about as articulate as one.

Ever see him when he was trying to do post-fight interviews for the UFC? Jesus he's dim.

If he dies, he dies!

Wow.
I'm a Tito fan but he needs to give it up. Injuries robbed him of his explosiveness over 10 years ago. He's still a tough son of a bitch but he just can't beat UFC level fighters any more. All he's been doing is putting his body through hell for the last several years. Now with all these serious injuries he could really be fucked up for life. I wish him the best though. I've met him several times and he's always been really cool to me.
-
The thing is even tho he was injured and losing for much of his later career with the UFC he was still competitive against the top guys. I remember after their fight Rashad said that he didn't expect Tito to be so strong. That means something when a stud like Rashad thinks you're strong. Mind you this was already after Tito's back problems which later resulted in fusion surgery.
A lot of people don't realize that Tito was pretty much the UFC at one time. He was the main dude responsible for turning the UFC from debt to dollars. Tito vs Shamrock was absolutely huge and the beginning point in which the UFC went mainstream. I remember as a teen walking in 7/11 and seeing Tito VS Sham on a tapout magazine and buying it. Then I went home and saw them promoting the fight on ESPN. That was major stuff for a sport that until that time lived mostly in the underground and the net.
I never liked Tito in his prime because like Ken I thought he was a punk. Tito was the bad guy you loved to hate. He later showed himself to be a better person coaching on TUF and thats where he earned me as a fan.
I'll root for Tito either way but after all these surgeries he needs to call it quit.

I couldn't agree more. He was competitive with the top level UFC fighters all through his UFC career. He was hard to hurt with strikes and practically impossible to sub. Tito in his prime was something else. He was like a bigger, more brutal GSP when it came to wrestling and ground and pound. It didn't hurt that he was good at selling fights too.

i thought tito was superb on tuf
first time especially against shamrock
he really seemed to care about his guys doing well
harsh reality is as soon as he is out of the limelight his brand disapears
thats why he keeps fighting
it always comes back to money
-
I'd have loved to have seen a prime tito versus a prime alan kilby.
it was the fight the world wanted to see but it never got made
-

Damn, Bellator must have lost a lot of money due to this..
Somewhere, Dana White is masturbating violently at the thought of Tito Ortiz's broken neck, while giggling like a little girl.

What about the beach?
I lived there when I was in college. Very diverse: wealthy part, gay part, college part, ghetto part. It has it all. The beach really sucked, though, dirty and overrun by older thonged "men."

He needs the money

I wish Tito had fought Tank back when they were both still competitive. They used to train together, I think, but they had a falling out. It would have been a real grudge match.
-
If Tito didn't have those extensive injuries , he'd still be athletic and explosive for sure

Yeah, but if you could stuff his takedown, he was pretty ineffective on his feet. Couture and Liddell figured that out.

This.
Tito used to post on the UnderGround (mixedmartialarts.com or whatever - It's changed at least 3 times over the years) with the screen-name of FUTA1. (FuckYouTankAbbot!).
Honestly, I really don't think Tito was ever that great or skilled of a fighter, he was successful because he barely fit into the 205's so he could outmuscle most other guys in that class from his era and he was also great at selling a fight -- some people loved him and others just hated him. His game was a little too close to pro-wrestling for my taste but he made all the pre-fight shit entertaining.
Here's the famous press conference (it makes me laugh every time I see it) where he totally and legitimately got under Ken Shamrock's skin:

dana had some hair :D ;D

He destroyed Shamrock in that fight. Embarrassed him, really.
