Wow.

I'm a Tito fan but he needs to give it up.  Injuries robbed him of his explosiveness over 10 years ago.  He's still a tough son of a bitch but he just can't beat UFC level fighters any more.  All he's been doing is putting his body through hell for the last several years.  Now with all these serious injuries he could really be fucked up for life.  I wish him the best though.  I've met him several times and he's always been really cool to me.

The thing is even tho he was injured and losing for much of his later career with the UFC he was still competitive against the top guys. I remember after their fight Rashad said that he didn't expect Tito to be so strong. That means something when a stud like Rashad thinks you're strong. Mind you this was already after Tito's back problems which later resulted in fusion surgery.

A lot of people don't realize that Tito was pretty much the UFC at one time. He was the main dude responsible for turning the UFC from debt to dollars. Tito vs Shamrock was absolutely huge and the beginning point in which the UFC went mainstream. I remember as a teen walking in 7/11 and seeing Tito VS Sham on a tapout magazine and buying it. Then I went home and saw them promoting the fight on ESPN. That was major stuff for a sport that until that time lived mostly in the underground and the net.

I never liked Tito in his prime because like Ken I thought he was a punk. Tito was the bad guy you loved to hate. He later showed himself to be a better person coaching on TUF and thats where he earned me as a fan.

I'll root for Tito either way but after all these surgeries he needs to call it quit.

I couldn't agree more.  He was competitive with the top level UFC fighters all through his UFC career.  He was hard to hurt with strikes and practically impossible to sub.  Tito in his prime was something else.  He was like a bigger, more brutal GSP when it came to wrestling and ground and pound.  It didn't hurt that he was good at selling fights too.

i thought tito was superb on tuf

first time especially against shamrock

he really seemed to care about his guys doing well

harsh reality is as soon as he is out of the limelight his brand disapears

thats why he keeps fighting

it always comes back to money

Damn, Bellator must have lost a lot of money due to this..

Somewhere, Dana White is masturbating violently at the thought of Tito Ortiz's broken neck, while giggling like a little girl.

What about the beach?

I lived there when I was in college. Very diverse: wealthy part, gay part, college part, ghetto part. It has it all. The beach really sucked, though, dirty and overrun by older thonged "men."

I wish Tito had fought Tank back when they were both still competitive. They used to train together, I think, but they had a falling out. It would have been a real grudge match.
