http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-2451488/Lennox-Lewis-wants-100m-comeback-Klitschko-brothers.html
Lennox Lewis has told Russian promoters that he will come back to fight one of the Klitschko brothers for the biggest purse in boxing history. The 48-year-old, who is still the most recent undisputed world heavyweight champion, was offered $50million (£31.3m) in Moscow at the weekend while attending Wladimir Klitschko’s successful defence of his world titles against Alexander Povetkin. Lewis responded by promising to return to the ring for $100m (£62.6m). The promoters are considering doubling their bid and Lewis says: ‘That is my price tag and it is under discussion. I have told them I can be ready in six months and I am in provisional training.’
Lewis, in London to launch his new training academy for potential world heavyweight champions, is running in Hyde Park each morning. He reports himself to be ‘already well under 300lb’. He weighed around 245lb in his prime. Lewis believes that in a fight next spring he can surpass big George Foreman, who regained the title at the age of 48, as the oldest world heavyweight champion of all time. His price for coming out of retirement would give him the biggest pay-note in boxing history.
-
Why not?
-
What Jordan and Levrone are exactly thinking
-
100 million? Do it!
-
That would be cool. Lewis was very underrated.

Not by me. Top 5 all time heavyweight.

Agreed.

lewis was a standup black guy IMO and a nasty reach owned people the way a tall man should

He pwned Tyson horribly.
-
Lewis tore up Vitaly face the first time (I was ring side). I say give him the money. It will be a great bout.

Vitali took some massive shots in that fight and walked right through them.
Agree with Lewis being one of the very best all time but damn 48 is getting up there!

He's been out of the game a long time. That's a shitload of ring rust. A tuneup against a tomato can would be smart
-
Love a comeback, do it!
-
Oh yeah. Been away for a shit long time. Still a great and dangerous SHW though. I still think Lennox will them good bouts. I hope.
-
On a similar note Kevin Levrone was recently offered 100 bucks to pose for an old queen in a motel room in Vegas.
-
:D ;D
-
Doesn't say much for the heavy weight division that a retired 48 year old can come out and get a shot at the champ. ::)
-
Nope.

I think Vitali would have won that fight if not for the cut,Both Lewis and Vitali showed huge heart after being rocked a few times and being heavyweights it could have gone either way, but that was a hugely competitive fight.

True...but Lewis came into that fight in freaking horrible shape. A prime Lewis destroys him. Not that he will ever be in his prime again. But klitscho is no kid either.
-
That would be cool. Lewis was very underrated.
???
Probably the best modern heavyweight..... not really underrated by anyone

People like to rewrite history on that fight. Granted the judges had Vitali up 4-2, but in that 6th and final round, he was hanging on for dear life. With or without the cut, he was about to get stretched in round 7. That cut helped create much of the mystique around Vitali. If he'd have gotten knocked out in the next round, history would look on him differently than it does right now. That being said, I think Vitali is/was or has become a great heavyweight. The best since Lewis and for sure would give baby bro a spanking if they were ever to fight. He is trouble for any heavyweight from any era. He does have a granite chin and is a mean dude inside of the ring. I am a Vitali fan, but an unmotivated, undertrained, semi-retired Lennox Lewis almost disfigured him and would have knocked him cold had that fight gone one more round.
-

I guess he walked through them sort of, in terms of inertia keeping his huge body moving forward after getting punched. The skin covering his face, no so much.
-
I disagree with the outcome but not the shape Lewis was in, he was gassed out, if he was going to knock him out he would have already, Vitali would have stopped him in the next round.A prime Lewis no doubt would have jabbed and boxed the shit out of him, but he was out of shape, still a great fight and its good to talk about a heavyweight fight that was worth watching.
-
Vitali nearly dismembered him 10 years ago, Lewis will not stand a chance.
-
both klits would slap him silly
lewis is 48 and inactive well over 10 years
no one has ever done it no one ever will
-
I would pay a lot of money to get seats for that fight, ring rust or not Lewis is an absolute animal!
-
How ??? without rankings he can get title shot.
First he needs to KO's 3-4 top 10 ranked fighters ;)

Fine, Lewis could do a bit of sparring and easily KO the following to get a title shot:
1. David Haye
2. Tyson Fury
3. Deontay Wilder
4. Robert Helinius
All Top 10 fighters (yes the division is that bad at the moment).
-
Lewis beat an over the hill .. End of the road Tyson
Not a prime mike
-
Hell Yeah! Bring it on ;D

Maybe, but that fight was irrelevant - a bit if fun. Two hall of fame heavyweights from different reigns/eras. That fight doesn't say anything extra about either fighter. Both had made their mark by beating the shit out of everyone else.

True
Also... In regards to a Lewis. Klitchko fight
Lewis was losing on all judges cards .. What saved him was that cut he have klitchko

Doesn't matter who was up on cards after 6 rounds. Lewis was coming on strong and klitchko was fading.
Lennox was one boxer I can believe wasn't on peds. A lot of the other top heavyweights of his era have that shadow surrounding them (holyfield, tyson, both klits)

Yep.
There's a reason a fight is scheduled for 10 or 12 rounds.
You could be all over a guy for the first 7 and gassed in eight and get TKO'ed.
-
I'd do it for 10 million dollars
-
Dong King wants 75% of the 100 mil to get this started and hair gel as a bonus.
-
Vitali would have stopped him in the next round.
Vitali saw that Lewis was heavy and came out firing. By the 6th round they both looked gased. Lewis cut him in 3 places. 2 above the eye and one below. Deep cuts to the bone.Vitali genetically cuts. He was fighting with one eye by the 6th round, and Lewis was catching him more frequently. The fight could have gone either way, but Vitali was at a huge disadvantage. Cover your left eye. Boxing is hard when you can't see.

Yes yes we know this
But going by what we saw... Lewis was being beaten badly
I saw nothing from him to suggest he could get back into the fight
-
i would pay either of them 50 dollars if i could fight either one of these guys
-
i would pay either of them 50 dollars if i could fight either one of these guys
Ah, but those are Falcon dollars, not regular currency.
-
Lennox in his prime would kill Wlad, leave him unconscious inside 4 - 5 rounds. His skills were incredible, watch the David Tua fight and tell me im wrong, he gave nothing short of a master class for 12 rounds against the man that was seemingly set to rule the world.
48 is quite a stretch, but if he is willing to try and someone is willing to pay the money i say go for it. The last undisputed champion doesnt need a warm up fight to warrant it, hell it doesnt even have to be for a title and i for one would watch it and thats the catch - everyone will want to see this go down. Box office records could be smashed.
But then you have Tyson Fury trying to get himself noticed by bad mouthing Lennox on Twitter and using unacceptable profanity and homophobic slurs. The BBBC will smack his arse for it, but i wish Haye had decapitated him so he would shut up.
-

Are you fucking kidding? he is a piece of shit. Guys in Canada gave him everything, trained him, gave him a home, food, clothes and then Lewis fucked them over after the Olympics. He has no friends in the boxing world.
-
both klits would slap him silly

Johnny could
-
Lol Tua was never gonna rule anything, you need more than a good left hook!! Thats all Tua had.
-

He means standup fighter. Lots of tall guys don't fight tall.
-
Both Klitschko brothers have been ducking the Falcon for years.

dilusionnal "hebrew"

A Fact.

Are you sure anyone knows what Johhny Falcon really means?
-
A tall man should be able to savagely beat a shorter man, Falcon has written extensively on this topic.

On a similar note Kevin Levrone was recently offered 100 bucks to pose for an old queen in a motel room in Vegas.
hahahaha

Neither of those two would dare get in the ring with you...FACT!!!

lolz
-
Lol Tua was never gonna rule anything, you need more than a good left hook!! Thats all Tua had.
I watched him fight as it happened, if a left hook was all he had then its all he needed as he was pretty much killing everyone he fought. Ike could have gone down as one of the all time greats if he wasnt a complete head case so theres no shame losing to him especially in a fight of that caliber, truth is he started getting fat and lazy but a prime Tua made every sane boxer shit their pants. I can guarantee that i wasnt the only one that thought there was a good chance Lewis was gonna lose that night.
-

could his physique still command such a (high) fee ?

Yes. I believe that is one of the cornerstones of the Falcon principles.
I have grown an inch since following the Falcon
-
make him fight a tune-up fight first for 10 million one of the bums like chris areola or seth mithchell than depending on how well he performs than talk the big bucks. ;D
-
someone is broke...
-
Not by me. Top 5 all time heavyweight.
WTF
In no order
Ali, Liston,Frazier,Louis, Tunney,Dempsey,Holmes,Charles,Marciano, Petterson,Foreman,Tyson and maybe even Holyfield

::) Ike is grossly overrated and Tua should have gotten the decision . But I agree with what your saying about Tua .
-
Lewis schooled Tua and every boxing pundit predicted that.

Yet i dont for one second believe u have ever watched that fight.
Boss, i say Ike could have been because he had real power and potential (such a dirty word) but just wasnt disciplined enough to get the very best out of himself. Dangerous fighter that we'll never know how good he could have become, definitely not the finished article by any stretch of the imagination.

With Ike I don't think discipline was his problem. I think he had some mental issues. Ike could have been a huge factor in the HW scene. He could've changed everything. I think it is a bit of a stretch to say he would've been an all time great but alas we will never know

I agree. People say Vitali lost that fight because of the cut. The irony is that the cut actually saved Vitali from a more decisive loss.
Lewis and Wlad would have been a good fight maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Lewis might even be able to give him problems now but comming back after 9 years of retirment at almost 50 years old? He will probably lose...badly.
-

For sure he had mental issues, i just dont think he could control himself for one reason or another. Perhaps not top 10 or 20, but he could have been a name on histories tongue for all the right reasons.
Vitali has never been in that deep since, i think deep down he knows he was beginning to lose that fight badly. When you say the cut saved him from a more decisive loss you are absolutely on the mark, he cana rgue all he likes because he was ahead when the fight was stopped, but he knows he was no more than 3 - 4 minutes away from being laid out. As such the question always remains and his legacy is better for it.

Savon KO'd Tua with a short right

Savon KO'd Tua with a short right
a great punch so quick in the fight, he's pretty much the best amateur HW of all time. Crying shame he didnt go pro, bloody Cubans depriving us of him and Kindelan lol.
-
Ike just like Tony Ayala are myths
Mentally they couldn't hack it in the real world
Edwin Valero another idiot

WTF

Take the gloves off and a prime John L Sullivan would give him all he wants too.
