Title: After having to listen to so much raving and ranting about..
Post by: Cleanest Natural on October 16, 2013, 12:41:43 AM
.. Breaking Bad, I decided yesterday to download the first season. To see what the hype is all about.

I managed to go through the pilot and fastforward through episode 2..

The "most brilliant" masterpiece, presents me a depressed, unhappy middle aged man who finds out he has cancer and not much to live so he decides to do what he would have never done.

Wow... FUCKING BRILLIANT!  ::)

I am sure that every person stuck in a simpleton routine bored with "life" and no way to run empathized with him. Let us feel sorry for the poor guy so we can sympathize with him cooking drugs and killing people. They are so not clever in hooking you with emotional characters and you identifying with them in order to like killing and doing "bad stuff" later ..

They fucking play your own feelings like a piano and you bite every fucking single time... oh wait.. even Hopkins sent them a nice letter congratulating them on such a brilliant show.

Another modern time masterpiece where people kill people, drugs are being cooked and all sorts of sexual stuff, violence and generally the lowest of the human low ..

Wake up .. animals are more civilized to one another than the rpogrammed "role models" you identify with on the screen..

WTF is wrong with humans??

Are you just now going through your ubermensch phase or have long been settled as an anti-social misanthrope?

I went through the former in my early 20s. It will pass like puberty bro. The day will come when you step off your highhorse of profoundness and accept your humanity.

In the meantime here's a little Gaga to help you meet your RDI of pop culture

Do not compare me to you or my life to yours.

Both you and Michael Schumacher drive cars. This does not mean you are doing the same thing.

Pipe down. You don't want to go there. I would be concerned to "own" you given your fragile mental state and situation as you described earlier. I feel for you,. but you cannot be THIS sad AND a smart ass. Learn to pick your "fights".

WoW ! You watched one episode and skimmed through the second and you have drawn your conclusions from that!  If I reflect on the great books I have read and judge them based on the first few pages, or the unforgettable movies I have watched and judge them on the first few minutes.  Yeah, they suck !!

Anyway, here is another artistic masterpiece, let me know what you think, mind you I posted just 1/62 of it, that should be all you need to make an accurate assessment .

I'm unemployed and out of shape. Take a gander over to just below my avatar and you'll see this ground breaking news.

I'm not concerned with any kind of "ownings". Which is why I can be quite open and honest about myself.

Then again: I forced myself (and wife) to watch Dexter. We gave up after season 4. Every time before then, we had convinced ourselves that this next season would be better. Because everyone's saying it is brilliant! Well, no. It's a repetitive series which requires a suspension of disbelief greater than Avatar. And this shite is what "the people" went nuts for. So fucking what? "The people" also go nuts for Monday Night Football, doesn't mean it isn't shite.

You are right. I will watch the rest. I am sure it switches abruptly to great spiritual lessons and eliminates completely the violence and decadence of the spirit to animal level or below.

4 seasons compared to watching 1 episode and skimming the second, c'mon, there is a big difference there.  After 4 seasons you can definitely express an informed opinion. I believe Breaking Bad didn't really get going until Season 2/3.  The other problem is, he already knows what happens.  The whole shows excitement factor was based on anticipating what was coming next.  Maybe you just had to be onboard from the beginning, kind of like buying a yo-yo now and wondering what all the hype was about it.

I make a distinction between people who are just talented with words and people who actually are worth reading.

My favourite is the Life Works of Swami Vivekananda. A man like that is born once every thousand years if that .. it has nothing to do with indian guru type etc .. it's how bright the spirit shines through the man in question .. that's what tickles me. It changes lives.

Also Elisabeth Haich, Stewart Swerdlow, David Icke, and Janet Diane Mourglia Swerdlow are people with something to say.

You are the first person I have ever encountered who is seeking spiritual lessons from a tv show.  I actually thought the violence was understated compared to many other recent shows like Game of Thrones and Spartacus.  Outside of watching children programmings, you are going to have trouble finding media that doesn't contain violence.  You may be right, maybe it isn't the show for you, but it is hard to take your opinion seriously considering you haven't watched the whole show.

Great lessons can be found in almost anything. You can learn and grow from even the most violent and decadent acts, maybe even especially from them.

Yes. It is not for me. Nothing on TV or Cinema is for that matter. I think the human race has great potential but we are becoming less than our animal selves.

You don't need to take my opinion seriously. It's just mine.

David Icke, cool  8) I also believe that there are descendants of shape shifting reptilians from the constellation Draco, who walk on two legs and appear human, and who live in tunnels and caverns inside the earth and are called Anunnaki .  Not many people know that the Anunnaki have crossbred with human beings and the breeding lines are chosen for political reasons, here to enslave us all.

Maybe you are onto it after all  ::)

It appears you have displayed somewhat of an emotional investment, hinting at your disapproval of base and violent media that serve no purpose in your mind other than to corrupt further an already corrupted population.  My comment regarding your need for spiritual comfort was based on your stated reverence of Swami Vivekananda, a man who like most revered figures, was propably just as much an arsehole as any man during his life but elevated to supreme status after his passing, probably due to the common mans deep desire for there to be such a thing as the perfect man.  Couple that with your apparent disgust at popular media I figured you were seeking something a little more significant than just catering to your basest desires.

Anyway, no offense was intended, just a little comical mocking was all.  I mean David icke, seriously, even if i did like the man, I wouldn't state it publicly.  That's just asking to be ridiculed.

have you read henry david thoreaus 'walden'?

as much as it was his own social experiment to escape the capitalism and materialism of the time, a deeper more profound meaning can be taken away from that essay.

you cannot function outside of society. this is what we are born into. all one can do is go about navigating it to the best of their abilities and morals. society will not change, as sad as you feel it is. just live the best life you can within it, as to allow what you see to affect you, without having the ability to change it, is really an exercise in futility. affect the ones you can, the rest becomes pearls before the swine.

Fair enough.  As one gentleman to another, we'll have to respectfully disagree :)

My curiosity is piqued now, though.  Have you seen "Deadwood," "Mad Men" and/or "The Wire"?  How about "A Game of Thrones"?  I've not seen much Mad Men -- trite as it will sound, I'm seriously put off by the fact that the cast is forced to "smoke" fake cigarettes given some stupid California law ... most, if not all of the actors and actresses who smoke on that show do so in real life, so what's the problem? -- and I missed "The Wire" altogether, although I hear it is simply excellent.

Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed "Deadwood."  It's rife with richly-drawn characters and some amazing acting and particularly noteworthy dialogue; e.g., Al Swearengen's advice to squeamish character A.W. Merrick, the town's newspaperman.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

And insofar as AGOT is concerned, the production value alone is worth a view or two.  I also love it, particularly because there are no Sacred Cows ... people you want to see succeed or avenge themselves die in the most pathetic way.  Eliot's words about the world ending not with a bang, but a whimper are salient, for every occasion but also in viewing AGOT.

All that blah blah blahing aside, I hope you are well Sev.  Getbig is not the same without you.

I'm with Sev actually.  I tried it years ago when it first came out...didn't hook me. didn't like the characters.

tried it again this year...I gave getbiggers credit and figured this many people can't be wrong.  still didn't like it...I just can't buy into it.

Wow... FUCKING BRILLIANT!  ::)

WTF is wrong with humans??
i watched 2 1/2 season of this in a few days due to being in bed after surgery....completley fucking boring...i gave it a chance and it failed

have you read henry david thoreaus 'walden'?

as much as it was his own social experiment to escape the capitalism and materialism of the time, a deeper more profound meaning can be taken away from that essay.

you cannot function outside of society. this is what we are born into. all one can do is go about navigating it to the best of their abilities and morals. society will not change, as sad as you feel it is. just live the best life you can within it, as to allow what you see to affect you, without having the ability to change it, is really an exercise in futility. affect the ones you can, the rest becomes pearls before the swine.
I write my own books. As a habit, I don't discuss "what others said" unless I value their opinion.

I do not intend to "change the world". I deal with truth and the individual.

When I see how movies and TV shows are made so that they hook you emotionally into the characters and you identify with them then those characters do things that are not ok or positive so you "do it mentally" with them, but it's not real so it's ok, but this stuff happens in real life so it must be ok.

Let me tell you folks:

It is NOT ok to think about killing, raping, shooting another, about cheating, about being mean or abusive etc.

Young generations see women as whores, bitches and can relate to them only through their animal self in a sexual agressive manner. Then we wonder why there are so many disfunctional relationships. Joe Blow is a good sad/satirical example.

Kids and teenagers are loud, mean and obnoxious. They grew up with Kill the whore GTA5 and countless shooting games, porn and hip hop. So when they meet a girl they expect her to take it in the ass and blow cum bubbles at the end. If she does not "suck cock" she has issues. So the girls learn that they are sexual objects and their whole self worth is based on sexual attraction. They learn to "please their man" from a very early age.

Most of the society drinks and does drugs, is addicted to carbs and garbage food.

You have pedofilia creeping in the public view from where it was hidden all these thousands of years via imprinting.

All TV shows, all movies show me violence and sexual crude stuff, vile language and so on. There is NOTHING of value or spiritual in what we are bombarded with.

The mind controlled society is right here full blown and not only you are complacent, but you ASK for it. Whenever someone like me or other few pop up and point out all these things, people start ridiculing, becoming agressive and generally yapping about conspiracy theories.

If you'd know what trully goes on in this world behind the incredibly complex crafted illusion you call "reality", you would literally go insane.

What an absolute load of shit!

It is perfectly NORMAL to think of those things. What isn't acceptable is to act on those thoughts.  I would even argue that those who repress those negative human emotions are probably the ones committing such deviant acts.  I would never trust anybody who said they hadn't thought about at the very least hurting another human being.

Nice Speech, but I have actually spent years advocating for a real cause of concern.  As a lot of Getbig knows I was attacked by Pitbullls and I have spent years advocating and lobbying for functional legislative protection.  Not only do I get ridiculed for my advocacy and publicly speaking my mind, I receive regular threats and abuse for doing so. The amount of vitriol and contempt I receive would make the criticism Icke receives look tame in comparison.  So although I am anonymous here, my real world advocacy is well known amongst those who share the same concerns I do.  And Icke isn't on the world stage, he is a circus freak who dwells in the shadows.  He is a shameless self promoter and exploiter of vulnerable and gullible people.

I read what you write and I see what's inside you. No wonder pitbulls attacked you. You know, animals just react to what's inside you. Look how angry and vile you get because I stated my opinion. Maybe what I say, what I do, what Icke does, forces you to take a good honest look at yourself and you really don't want that. Just my two cents.

PS: You comparing your "audience" with Icke is as ludicrous as TBombz claiming "bi" years ago  ;D

I haven't expressed any anger towards you, if anything, from the beginning of this thread you have reacted aggressive and defensive to being criticised for making an assessment of a 6 season TV show after one episode.  Surely you don't think I haven't heard the response "No wonder the pitbulls attacked you" before. This is someones way of saying, I can't stand you and I wish you as much hurt and harm imaginable.  Which is ironic, considering just a few posts ago, you were claiming it was wrong to even THINK of harming another human being, and almost as if on cue, I argued that those who repress such feelings are the ones who actually commit those very acts of harm.  And bingo, I trigger one of your unconscious desires to harm another and you couldn't even resist, you weren't even aware, you lashed out aggressively.

It is a very natural reaction for people who lack a deeper insight into reality to express such a victim blaming attitude.  The fact you feel a need to blame me for being attacked and to suggest that I deserved it is proof positive of your anger, I do think you are unconscious of it and aren't even aware of how you lash out at others who expose you.  Blaming the victim is the easiest and laziest thing in the world to do, it saves one having to actually explore what is really happening, if one can easily just dismiss human created suffering as karma, one can let themselves of the hook and DO NOTHING to prevent such human suffering from occurring in the future.  Karma is a widely held belief, and a lot of people only see the one sided application of it, they think if I do good things, good things will happen to me. But they don't also acknowledge how KARMA can be used as a tool for EVIL, any dictator would relish the idea that the average person believes such a thing, for he could torture them indefinitely and when they complain simply attribute their suffering to KARMA.   Karma really is an insidious belief system, essentially it is a tool to blame victims and remove any responsibility in other peoples suffering.  It is also a means for which even an evil person could convince themselves that they are good people, for if good things are happening to them, they can attribute this to good deeds, regardless of the real world suffering they inflict on others.

And while the idea that animals just react to what's inside you appeals to those who have a romantic idealistic view of animals, it doesn't explain why pitbulls regularly maim, maul and kill children as young as a week old.  Imagine implying that an infant possessed such a demonic spirit and that a brutal fatal mauling at the jaws of pitbulls was more than justified.  And if what you said were true, all animals would attack me, and considering I have spent my life around animals and the pitbull attack being an isolated incident, this is proof that your logic is flawed and poorly thought out.

It is obvious to me that you are repressing your human side, especially the more deviant and wicked side of your nature.  You like to sell yourself as a saint or more evolved than the rest of us, but that is just a rouse to prevent you from acknowledging your own wicked impulses.

And it is more than likely that what I do and stand for forces you to take a good honest look at yourself and you really don't want that.  I have researched David Icke, I watched all his ultra long videos and seminars with an open mind.  I could debate his beliefs ad nauseum, and although his ideas give the viewer a sense of being on the right path, when they are closely examined and thoroughly investigated, they lack any substance or even the minutest trace of evidence.  Just as astrology makes for some nice stories, sadly David Ickes stories are nothing more than romantic fiction.

If cock was crystal meth, E-Kul would be high as a kite. (Breaking Bad related)

Hahaha, if being bald, middle aged and going through the manopause was the inspiration for a hit series on HBO about sucking cocks to find oneself, E-Kul's name would be first in the credits.

Thank God Cyp! I was not ready to dwelve into his depressive ranting where he explains me why Breaking Bad should be mandatory 1st grade curricullum to prepare kids for reality of life while teaching them not to surpress thoughts like getting into the drug trade or killing a few people, blowing up stuff and other normal stuff that happens in our daily life. Let us not forget to have them play GTA so that they know that they can get the money back if they kill the hooker.  ;D
I never once have even offered my opinion on Breaking Bad in this thread, for all you know I could very well hate the show.  I merely suggested watching 1 episode of a 6 season show probably isn't a good starting point to accurately assess the whole series.  I needn't defend the show, the ratings and awards it received speak for itself.

I could talk as if it were in fact reality about Interdimensional shape-shifting lizard-people from a rift in the space-time continuum near the constellation Draco who have taken over the Earth if you find that topic more interesting.

I have no desire to be a great historical figure, I have never aspired to such a legacy, why anyone would seems crazy to me.  Nor do I wish to be a great anything, I am content to live a simple life, speak the truth and die in relative anonymity.  The gift of life is more than enough for me.

It is always difficult to realize that your own abilities do not enable you to become a millionaire.

I, however, believe, like you, that you should not envy rich people who have worked hard for making their own fortune. It really is a complex issue since for me, personally, I don't need a lot of money to live the life I want, so I guess it is easier for me to like rich people than a person with the same income as me who dreams to own a Lamborghini or a mansion.

For ME!......Money is a grade of performance, thats it, nothing more. I dont put any value on it beyond this and I dont pine for material possessions, comforts are nice, better quality items make life easier but true value is education, family, stability and most importantly discipline and power. Power is a very broad and should be self defining per individual.

Those that fill themselves with mansions and cars and clothes etc....are hollow and empty and can never fill that void. Mostly theyre the "new rich" or as I coined it "trailer park lottery winners".

But it really depends on if someone can afford the things that make them happy.  And that certainly isnt the same for everbody.  Where most get messed up is being worried about what others have.   Or worse yet dating/marrying a chick who is obsessed with it.

This show is about programming and control like all media. It has NOTHING to do with "lessons". It was never about lessons.

So we can learn that if desperate with 2 years to live it is ok to cook meth and kill people?  :-\

What an uninteresting perspective. That's a Soviet perspective on art.

LMAO!
