Title: Eating a whole rotisserie chicken in one sitting
Post by: el numero uno on October 16, 2013, 05:57:36 PM
Recently a very fat friend of mine addmited to eat one whole rotisserie chicken in one sitting every once in a while, when he feels "hungry"  ::) We mocked him but now that I think about it the chicken must be around 5-6 lbs, still a lot but nothing crazy.

How many of you have done this??

BB related: 5 lbs of chicken = 450 g of protein.

On a 6lb chicken there's probably 2lbs of meat.   A big meal for one sitting, but I've eaten whole chickens many, many, many times in the past....they were more like 4lb chickens though.

I used to do this all the time but I wouldn't eat the legs.  That was in my younger days when I was training really hard building this amazing physique.

This, I used to eat a whole chicken for lunch, and then train my ass off  about 3 hours later! I also used to drink a gallon of whole milk a day when I was trying to pack on weight and muscle!

Jake eats 4 fried chickens and a coke, Elwood eats white toast - dry.

Costco ones are a nice size but still doable in one sitting. The Vons/Albertsons chickens are snack size. In fact, my girlfriend will buy 2 when making a chicken enchilada meal.

A buddy of mine brings two of them to work and eats 1 at 10 am and the other at 1 pm. He has a mountain of rice with each one. He is a bad example though.  He eats a 1kg cake after training with a protein shake.
He is very lean. Bastard.

I can eat the ones from costco in one day broken up into two meals. But usually I only eat half of one and eat something else for my next meal. I save the other half for the next day. Chicken gets boringly monotonous real fast.

Sam's Club has really good ones also.  Doesn't seem to hard to eat the whole thing, I don't even think it would add up to 2lbs of just meat.

It's just how you train yourself eg I have a friend who cannot get by on less that 9 straight hrs of sleep at least .. Whereas I can get by in 4 or 5 , he's let his body become used to that 9 -10 hrs of sleep .. I guess the same applies to appetite

On the rare occoasion we have weekend off together and make a sunday dinner ill have half the chicken on that along with a heap of roasties, yorkshires and veg while she and the kids share other half.
Pretty sure a whole one on its own would be pretty easy.

Chicken isn't that interesting.  I always wanted to fuck with the gearing on those rotisserie machines tho.  Get 'em whirring up about 2000 rpm when they flip the switch.  Send some poor kid diving for cover as all the legs come flying off.

Personally, I enjoy a couple of thighs drizzled with a little olive oil and sea salt baked in the oven. Couple of baked potatoes and you're good to go.
