Allright here's my TOP-3 list of the heaviest music to play when hitting the weights:
#1 Slayer - Angel of death!
#2 Hatebreed - Perseverance!
"Wuaoooooo... Perseverance
Against all opposition
Crushing all limitations
Pure strength through solitude
Discipline and determination"
#3 Metallica - Frantic!
Cooldown: Madonna - True Blue ;D
-
lamb of god
-
pantera
at the gates
metallica, specifically Kill Em' All
-
Pantera is definitely up there, I'd say their heaviest album is Far Beyond Driven, especially the track Slaughtered.
As for Slayer, it's hard to pick out one song, but Angel of Death is such a classic. Metallica has done a lot of heavy stuff too, but I think they nailed it with Frantic from the new album, very RAW sound.
Hatebreed you can pick pretty much anything but Perseverance is among the best and the lyrics fits.
-
Marilyn Manson - "Antichrist Superstar"
DMX - "Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood"
Rob Zombie or Slipknot
These Albums made me attack the weight till I puked.

see your on that over the top kinda vibe, I dig songs like slaughtered but songs like Mouth For War, A New Level, Suicide note part II do it for me.

Skinlab-scapegoat
Slipknot-555 to the 666
Slayer-here comes the pain
-

Yeah well let's put it this way, Mouth for war is fine for 2 sets, and then for my final set if I'm going for a new PR or something I have to switch to Slaughtered ;)
-
every song/album on this thread!! ;D
(except DMX) :(
-
pantera
at the gates
metallica, specifically Kill Em' All
every song on Kill 'em All was awesome hard to believe that album came out 23 years ago, No Remorse or Phantom Lord were the best two on that one, Jump in the Fire too.
-
Coal Chamber, Pantera, (old) Suicidal Tendencies, Exodus, D.R.I., Slayer, Megadeth (anything from Peace Sells, So far So good, So what albums), Disturbed, Judas Priest (anything off Defender) and Robs old band Fight is good too. I never listen to any of this stuff at home, just the gym.

You gotta open your mind alittle

Dont forget Meshugga/Zao/Korn(blind...damn good training song)-I agree Hatebreed gets the anger flowing.

I saw Korn when they opened for Megadeth many many years ago. They were a nobody band at the time and only had 3 fans in the crowd while everyone else was booing them and giving them the finger. Things sure have changed, even the singer . He gained like 50 pounds and all in his gut since then.
-
Sepultura
ACDC
-
Disturbed, Godsmack, DMX, Linkin Park
-
lamb of god

Cooldown: Madonna - True Blue ;D
I honestly believe that Metalica is way overrated I mean I'm not even a "rock star" and I play the guitar better than those clowns.............
Speaking of Madonna, we just remixed Madonna's next single, "Sorry", which will be released in February.
At the moment we do not know whether "Sorry (PSB Maxi-Mix)" will be commercially released or only made available on promo copies to club DJs
but it sure sounds good to pump u up in da' gym!!
Wooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

-
ACDC, Korn, RATM, Queensryche
-
Fear Factory - Demanufacture
I saw korn, FF and static x all on one bill and static x were by far the best band. I love FF but they aren't quite as energetic or as intense as they were the first time I saw them. Korn are a polished band but wayne static has the freakiest amusing voice live (exactly how it is on the albums, very few metal bands can boast that).
I saw slayer live with machinehead and slayer absolutely shat on machinehead. It was hilarious. I've been to a lot of metal gigs but slayer were by far the most "metal".
Straying away from metal, I would put the prodigy up there for decent workout bands. Lots of energy.
-

I saw that Slayer tour. It was Machine Head and BioHazard for that part of it It was for the Seasons in the Abyss tour. Great show. I was in the pit the whole time and my back was and arms wear black and blue from all the people smashing into each other. I wouldnt dream of doing that shit now, too old. :'(
I saw Fear Factory 2 times but lost interest after a while.

THATS ALL PUSSY MUSIC, CMON
What about
Dora the Explorer-Macho Taco and Find the grande in my buto
-
It doesn't matter whether they are playing Black Sabbath or Britney Spears. When I workout I am mentally focussed to such a degree that I am not aware of what music is being played.
If I had a choice of what kind of music must be played I would prefer the kind I don't like (rap, popular music of any kind including Metallica and Nsync) rather than the kind I do like (Classical music). This way I will not be predisposed to paying any attention to the music.
