I am a personal trainer and trust me there have been some ugly scenes that I have had to be put through.  My ultimate favorite was watching a trainer attempt to teach her clients how to do Tai Bo and explained to them how the punching would help strengthen their pecs.....mmmmm, yeah.  I love watching the trainers who don't know how to teach basic muscle growth weight training, try and take clients on the stabilizer ball or the dyna disc then tell their client how this will help them get big muscles.  Uhhhh, I don't remember seeing the dyna disc in Ronnie Coleman's dvds.  I think he would deflate the thing if he got on it.  hehehehehe!

I saw this 1 trainer today train a chick while he was on his cell talking to his boys. He was on that phone a good 15 minutes and he was training her through hand signals and not even watching to see if she was doing shit right.

lololol...no...the thread was about personal trainers and he claims to be one so as far as his expertise I was saying the proof is in the pudding... Genetics are one thing but IMO you really need to actually look like you know what you are talking about to get clients to trust you... If I wanted to look smooth with very little muscle, on contest day mind you, I'll take advice from Vince. It still is a physique show and he strikes me as one of the knuckleheads that just gets up there in the hopes that they will get a trophy based on the number of other atheletes in his class.... There are always 3 or 4 of these people at every show.

Define 'real job'

Cause I did landscaping one summer... and I do web design now... and I'd consider chopping down trees all day a lot more "real" than sitting in a recliner all day.

I often hear personal trainers in my gym counting reps backwards.  Why are they being so mean to their clients?  Why aren't they giving proper acknowledgement to the number of repetitions that that are being performed?
