What if I got a Mega Jug of Pepsi Max? You do realize you don`t automatically have to have a regular pepsi, you could just get a diet pepsi or pepsi max.

How so? You won`t get diabetes from drinking that a few times. In fact, as I said, you could order a diet pepsi or you could drink the full soda just fine, especially if you are around maintenance calories or lower.

Isn't it situational irony though in the KFC advert? They are trying to help cure diabetes by selling their product but in fact by selling their product they are causing diabetes? i.e. a reversal of expectations?

Excellent point. You can also share. I remember when I was a kid my mom, my sister and I would get a "Biggie" Dr Pepper from Wendy's and share it.

A more pertinent hypothetical example would be a Goodrum taking Vissy to a Trayvon Martin rally and being spat on and beaten for his sexuality, then being saved by a gun-toting Hispanic.

See, he was 170 10%... Then he got his first gallon of dr. Pepper, he felt guilty... But it was for a good cause. Fast forward 3 years, and this addict has awoken in a stupor on the walmart floor jonesing for a jones soda. Too overweight to move, to addicted to care. One cola, the first mega cola, ultimately caused his diabetes.

Several ways of developing dm2. And disproportionate sugar rushes on a consistent level can be a strong causative effect... Which is why these type of diabetics may not appear obese
