Actually enjoyed that interview .
He has recently posted some new ones. Most are quite intriguing and informative. He seems to have reached some new level of clarity. Seems very based these days... unlike most others I am seeing.
I've always liked Lee Priest. He even talks to me on FB. Very down to earth guy who takes a shitload of bashing and lets it just roll off his back.
I could care less about the tats, jewelry and finger nail polish. He is an intelligent dude who just does what he wants.
Highly misunderstood individual.

Agreed, hes funny and always has something interesting to say in his interviews, doesn't sugar coat anything and tells it like it is.

He looks awesome for 40. He always trained right. He does not train stupid like branch warren who looks like shit and is always getting injured.
What a disgusting mess

didn't watch the vid, but if it's what i'm thinking of, i agree
these things always get my triceps sore, which amazes me, considering i haven't been able to reliably get any other body part sore for years
-
that was a very good vid... surprising.
-
Going to try that for tri's.
-
can i see a demo of this exercise?
-
"lee priest thanks for that arm workout, IM FEELING GREAT"
"yeah too bad you dont look it... well, as long as you feel it that's what matters, it's all in the mind"
always brutalizing people
like that time he spotted a guy with a t shirt "got muscle?"
"oh look his shirt says GOT MUSCLE? the answer is NO"
lol
always destroying people
-

This is actually one of the few poses where branch looks good.

Its what you see Lee doing at the 2.20 mark.
-
An old Arnold triceps staple.
-
Overhead DB extension... pretty much the same thing.

That's how he gets off. It's what makes him better about himself.

I can't watch videos at work. Is this a fixed bar extension?

"Leaning into bar tricep pushoffs"
I used to do those. They were hell on my elbows, but incredibly effective. Eventually, I developed a flare of bursitis and had to give them up. I might do some light ones again tomorrow on arm day.
Thanks.

Very good point. Lee has not yet been injured in his career, which at his starting age to today, say's a lot. It can't just be 'by chance' it would be more from training "intelligently'
And please... please let's not say that genetics keep you from getting hurt ~ lol

LP looks great without the ink.

And "no" I wouldn't post sarcastic stuff about Lee.
We have a mutual friend who is suffering right now and Lee checks in on him every day.
I'm tellin' you, he's one of the good ones.
Very down to earth, as stated; "tells it like it is" and that has gotten him in trouble many times; nevertheless, he is brutally honest and always has a touch of wit to throw in.
The push-offs on the bar aren't really meant to be brutal staples to your workout. I think a lot of competitors started doing them backstage in an effort to stay off the floor, not have to do a CG pushup, they can be done anywhere in a standing position, and they pump the triceps.
As far as adding those to a daily regimen, that could be cool to change things up, but they are better suited in a place where there is a lack of equipment.
I've been doing them for years against walls, counter-tops.. whatever.
I suppose it's kind of like doing calf raises at a corner on the curb while you are patiently waiting for the light to turn...
I don't know. That's just MY take ~

combo of these 3 would serve you well. 3 heads 3 exercises.... ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Uh, Lee tore one of his biceps.

Uh, Lee tore one of his biceps.
Yep.

Good finishing movement ....
Wouldn't put it in the same sentence as "best triceps"
-
Uh, Lee tore one of his biceps.
Let's see....
a "bi" ceps would be two muscles.... so... did he tear one of four?
Have fun with that....
Duuuuuuhhhhhh......
-
He strikes me as restless...never content with drawing the line and resting on his laurels. It would explain a lot of the cosmetic changes to his appearance over the years. In a way, it keeps his life interesting because he's always looking for the next project for himself. The down side is such people rarely have a good ending, as the pressure to do something new and improved eventually destroys them.

but he tore one of his Bicep Brachii muscles ---being that there are two, one on each arm. Which resulted in an odd peak with one arm. It was posted on here back when it happened and his operation
