Title: Turmeric and Curcumin Supplementation
Post by: Roger Bacon on June 02, 2014, 08:42:11 PM
Any opinions on this? It's suppose to be a great anti inflammatory/antioxidant. I've read tons of articles saying it's also miracle cure for tons of alinements. It's also suppose to be a strong natural anti depressant.

Do you ever miss the old days though? Back when you were obviously unhealthy but sported those epic leans that attract the bleach blond walmart milfs?

I have been training hard in BB and powerlifting for 34 yrs. This has been the best supplement I have taken for my joint pain. Helps me way more than any of the joint care products. Been using it for about 6 months now. Finally my tennis elbow went away.

Very cool!! One comment on that article said it cured this guys tendonitis within a few months or something.

The article said it's helpful to eat a few peppercorns or pepper with it for way better absorption.

I've been using it for a few months. The listed benefits are many. It's cheap and it's just a natural food powder so why not take it?

I couldn't seem to get rid of the tennis elbow prior to this. I was even thinking about going to the ortho and get the plasma rich injections.

What brand do you use mate ? sounds like a good investment.

Someone with your experience recommends something then I will listen  :)

I've seen guys say the injectable version is awesome with helping injuries and scar tissue break down.

I use the NOW brand. It is Tumeric & Bromelain. I have to take it right before meals, because if I take it right after meals it burns my damn throat.

Turmeric and curcurmin are basically the same thing. Curcumin is one of the active curcurminoids that make turmeric anti-inflammatory.

By itself it's good. It works a lot better in combination with Boswellia (Frankincense) and ginger, if you can find a supplement that contains all 3.

Boswellia is the more heavily and rigorously studied of these with the most 'gold standard' (double blind placebo controlled) evidence supporting its use as an anti-inflammatory.

But they all work best in combination.

Turmeric, hot pepper, black pepper, ginger... I foresee a nice Indonesian curry in my future. Mmmmm, plantain-coconut curry!

 ???

I don't get this... I have a keen sense of smell, but curry or garlic - even second hand - do not gross me out.

Yes, I'm married to him. Still don't get it. His sweat smells like sweat.
