Depends on the genes of the parents regarding wanted characteristics - skin color is not that of an important issue unless we're talking about aesthetics.
Two people of equal color with great genes can bring out something awesome as can 2 mixers.
I have a book from 1913 which describes the pros/cons of certain races which is pretty interesting. Too bad that today's idiotic "correct" climate won't allow official and accurate research on this issue.
Internationalism, fostered by huge lobbies, is sabotaging any effort to make valid distinctions based on research and not on prejudice or hearsay.

Everyone thinks mixed is a good thing but I've seen some of the ugliest people known to man from black and white parents. For the most part say good bye to real hair and blue eyes :D
And if chances are the father is black the kid will have no father figure bc he would have been raised by a single mother

I hate to burst you bubble. Unfortunately the average IQ scores in mixed black/white chidren are lower than the white parents. Whatever might be gained is accompanied by a reduction in IQ.
