Depends on the genes of the parents regarding wanted characteristics - skin color is not that of an important issue unless we're talking about aesthetics.

Two people of equal color with great genes can bring out something awesome as can 2 mixers.

I hate to burst you bubble.  Unfortunately the average IQ scores in mixed black/white chidren are lower than the white parents. Whatever might be gained is accompanied by a reduction in IQ.
