you forget what I was in for was a lot different from what the majority of other guys were in for, and most guys were afraid and respectful enough not to even ask me. I had a 'real' crime, with a standoff with swat, with a long sentence. that was enough to give ppl a reason to think twice whether I'd respond in a way that they'd not like.

it took me forever to line up a source for egg powder (the powdered eggs they make our scrabled eggs with) and milk powder.
no creatine or anything.
could get syringes full of insulin from diabetics at med pass, but never bothered with it (risk of that person having hep c ws too great).
could get metformin and phenformin or glipizide? shit.. not I forget. the one that makes your body produce more insulin as well as increase insulin sensitivity... both of those were absolute shit. I'd use them and get them for guys when carbing up after weigh-ins for powerlifting meets.... also, could get Lasix for powerlifting meet weigh-ins.
could get Dunkin Doughnuts coffee grounds from where I worked and sell it for $15 a bag (5x the price of the generic coffee gounds on commissary, but well worth it).

So what's the deal with the huge bodybuilders I see working out doing dips and shit on the show lockup? Are those guys juicing? Are there very many huge guys? Good genetics? ???

the vast, vast majority of guys who 'workout' in prison, would NEVER have worked out on the street.
so, how many guys do you think are walking around that you see everyday that MAY have freaking 1/1000 genetics for building muscle, but don't know it because they've never tried to workout? doesn't matter if they're skinny or big when they start, some guys just need a lil stimulation and BOOM, they grow.
couple that with the fact that you burn very little kcals in prison, unless you're working in a housing crew (building houses/contruction). plus, you're taking in heavy starchy meals 3x/day (breakfast was oatmeal/farina with eggs, boiled or scrambled, and a lil carton of milk, sometimes you'd get pancakes), the other meals were usually pastas of some sort (or noodles with some sort of sauce or gravy)... I'd personally buy or trade for extra milks and extra pancakes, and eat extra bowls of oatmeal (there were always extra bowls ppl didn't want), days when we had hamburgers or hotdogs or smoked sausages I'd buy as many as I could find, usually 5-10 extra.......
... anyways, so you're eating steady kcals, and burning very little kcals, so you're gonna get larger.. most guys also get fatter. I was about 230 in there, but also about 15% bf, even with trt and t4.
are there anabolics in prison? sure, especially when redicat was doing business... but somebody fucked that up shortly after I got in.

15 w/5 suspended.... was 'promised' a max of 5 by the attny if I took the deal and the full 25 if i went to trial. turned out my 'friend' who i was doing collections for (his dad & uncles payday loan center and check cashing places) was afraid he'd get into trouble (he was still on federal parole.. I'd found out he was a rat just the day before. saw his testimony 'in exchange for a reduction in his sentence' on google... if you're a rat, you can never hide it. which is why i never considered telling on anybody) so he told them "yea, he did it. he told me all about it, he has a bunch of guns, etc..." and even did interviews with the news crews outside during the standoff. afterwards he stole a rolex day-date w/diamond dial (which is ok now, as the diamond dial stuff is played out. lol) and two Gucci watches i had in my center console... and he attempted to steal two 22in 24k solid gold chains.. and attempted to 'steal' my car... I've posted about this before....
everybody gets what they deserve in the end. whether it takes 2 weeks or 8 years.
