i been saying this since february. lebron's wifey wants OH, then he's going to the cavs. baby #3 on the way. his mama bought season tickets. His wifey pulled the kids outta MIA schools and enrolled them in school in OH.
and MIA is just plain old. Bosh bailing. Wade always injured. MIA got beat by record margins this year. and it's hot as balls in FL today.
-
Nobody finds good people interesting
good point, older team beats hotshot younger team by means of team concept , but no one cares . it's all about where wade or bosh or king james or carmelo anthony[what did he ever win in the nba] atr going.
-
It ain't over until the paper is signed.
That said, if after all of this, he DOESN'T go to the Cavs, the city of Cleveland is going to hire a hitman.
-
Melo is signing back with NYK... breaking news now.
Spolestra and Wade were NOt invited to this meeting. Bron about to break Riley's heart...
Lebron James is about to become the biggest hero in the history of the state of ohio.
-

NBA has gone full on "And1".
-
Apparently it's going to be announced on James website at 6pm est, at this point I'd be amazed if he's staying with Miami, everything coming out says he is going back to Cleveland.the better story now is if they can get love without giving up wiggins.

In other news the Spurs will be back next season to beat the tar out of James, Wade, Bosh and Melo wherever they land LOL.

Report: Cavaliers talking to Ray Allen and Mike Miller
UPDATE 11:58 am: If you’re going to have LeBron James on your team you need shooting.
So in addition to making moves to get Ray Allen, the Cavaliers are also talking to Grizzlies free agent Mike Miller, reports Chris Broussard of ESPN. Not coincidentally another former Heat player LeBron liked being paired with.
The question is will all of this matter.
11:20 am: Another sign the Cavaliers are putting together a roster to attract LeBron James:
They are going after Ray Allen, reports Chris Broussard of ESPN.
Allen spent the last couple season in Miami with LeBron, time that is best remembered for the shot that lifted Miami over the Spurs in Game 6 of the 2013 Finals and gave them a shot at a title.
Allen said after the Finals he wasn’t sure he wanted to retire (although that was a consideration) but was only going to play on a contender — he’s only coming to Cleveland if LeBron is.
Allen is still in great shape, he still is a consummate professional and still can knock down the corner three — 57 percent of his shots were from three last season and he hit 37.5 percent from there.
However, Allen’s fading athleticism has made doing things other than shooting — for example defending — difficult. Speaking with him at the Finals he seems frustrated by that.
This move, along with the Jarrett Jack trade to clear out cap space, are the things the Cavaliers want in LeBron’s mind when he sits down with Pat Riley to make a decision on Wednesday.

I went to middle school with Mike.
His dad was our principal and his uncle was my 7th grade math teacher... he older brother Ryan was bangin my 6th grade gf's older sister and got her pregnant and had an abortion at 15 lol.
mike had scouts at middle school games back then, and played on the h.s. varsity team when he was in the 8th grade and got nike to supply the team with shoes and jerseys.
everybody knew he was going pro.. everybody.. since he was in the 6th grade. we were all surprised when he went to play for Florida, and everybody talked about him getting an 'allowance' to go there.

LeBron + Love + Kyrie Irving at point + Wiggins rookie sensation...
Plus talks for Mike Miller + Ray allen in the works.
You'll have veterans LINING UP to play on this team. MIA will suck next year. Melo returning to NY. CHI not improving. How in the world does CLE "NOT" making it to the Finals next year?
The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly pursuing a trade for Kevin Love, contingent on them landing LeBron James.
pdates from Wednesday, July 9
Sam Amick of USA Today provides an update on the potential scenario that would send Kevin Love to Cleveland:
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reported more information on what would set off a trade:
Updates from Tuesday, July 8
Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves aren't impressed with what the Boston Celtics have to offer for Kevin Love:
-
NBA has gone full on "And1".
And that is why I can't stand the NBA. A freaking And1 mixtape.

LeBron meets with Pat Riley, alone. No wade, no coach, no president allowed to attend.
He listens to riley, thanks him, and leaves. no committment.

LeBron only ends up not looking stupid if the Cavs win a championship otherwise he'll end up being known as only able to win with Wade and Bosh and not on his own but even then he's going back to Cleveland with 3 first round picks in 4 years and potentially signing another all star.

The signs were all there. Can't say no to mama... lebron wants to be a dad with an amazing job in his hometown.
Great new for the city of cleveland, akron. I lived in akron for the 1st half of my life. Lebron went to my high school, lived a mile away from me in the projects. Gave back millions to his school and community. I watched every cavs game til I was 17, and every heat game since. This is a win-win from my viewpoint!
Miami was nice, but home is home... can't beat that.

You called it!
-
Gotta give it to Rob on this one.
He called it a week ago.
-
Where do we go from here?
Bosh to the Rockets and Parsons stays with the Mavs?
Front line of Chandler Parsons 6'9, Dirk 7' and Tyson Chandler 7'1 with Monta Ellis and his 19ppg at guard.
I'd take that as a Mavs fan.
-
So Lebron abandons his "home" and now he's returning home a "hero". Stand up guy.
Ok, he gave the city millions....I'll give him that. ;D I got nothin against Lebron.....it is business after all.
-
So Lebron abandons his "home" and now he's returning home a "hero". Stand up guy.
he know Cavs would tank, get 2 or 3 lotto picks, go back to Clev reloaded
-
Miami cannot be that angry... Lebron delivered. Gave them 2 rings and 4 Finals. Played out his contract. Gave them a dynasty and did it for LESS MONEY. They can still sign Melo and be very good (if bosh doesn't bolt for HOU lol)
lebron handled it with class, didn't leak a word.
now... in his letter, he does NOT mention rookie Andrew wiggins... I look fwd to playing with these 4 (but doesn't say wiggins). This means wiggins might be traded for a Kevin Love... making Cavs an INSTANT contender and probably overall favorite to win NBA title.
-
Good article
http://www.si.com/nba/2014/07/11/lebron-james-cleveland-cavaliers
I went to Miami because of D-Wade and CB. We made sacrifices to keep UD. I loved becoming a big bro to Rio. I believed we could do something magical if we came together. And that’s exactly what we did! The hardest thing to leave is what I built with those guys.
Now he has a family and wants to raise them in his hometown.
Good for Cleveland, good for the NBA, and he won't be just one of the guys there.

If Bosh goes to Houston and Mike Miller/Ray Allen follows Lebron to Cleveland is Dwayne Wade the biggest loser in all this?
A Miami Heat team without Lebron, Bosh, Miller and Allen and Wade stuck with a bunch of spare parts...could get rough for Wade next year!
-
It doesnt matter Spurs win again next year.

Best part for CLE - they get miami's FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK next year lol. So if Miami suddenly goes 18-64, CLE will have ANOTHER #1 or #2 pick lol!!!
Maybe this was all lebron's master plan - he leaves, they get a 1,1,4,1 picks... along with a possible #1 next year lol...
Plus Ray allen, mike miller, kyrie... and maybe the wiggins for Love trade...
Wow... he's got a really good situation here.
-

would love Duncan to have 6 to kobe 5

I guess Dan Gilbert isn't still bitter

Gonna be hard to make the $ work to acquire Love. They had to dump Jack just to make room for lebron.
-
I don't think I could have done what LeBron did. That letter Gilbert wrote was brutal and it was still on the website until just a few days ago. And he's never apologized for it.
LeBron going back now basically just put hundreds of millions of dollars in Gilbert's pocket.
-
Like I said in the NBA thread. Thanks Lebron for 4 years of incredible excitement and entertainment. Four NBA finals and 2 championships.
-
Gonna be hard to make the $ work to acquire Love. They had to dump Jack just to make room for lebron.
I could see lebron taking less than max $ to get Love on his team. I know he said he wants a max deal, but if shaving 2 million
VEGAS just changed CAVS to the favorites to win the NBA title lol.. amazing.. 3 to 1 favorites. Spurs are 4-1.
They should need 1 year to gel, but you never know. I wouldn't think they'll win this year, but hey, you never know. the nba would LOVE to see it, and with younger players to chase around san antonio, yeah, could happen.

Without a doubt, DW is the big loser here. He opted out of his contract so clear some cap space. LJ to the Cavs and Bosh to HOU and DW is the saddest man alive.
Hahahahaha!
-
Jordan still the G.O.A.T ;D
-

Wade's legacy is already made here in Miami. 3 Championships one without Lebron. It never would of happened without him bringing Lebron and Bosch here. It will go back to being Wade county.

"Wade County"?
That guys career is shot.
Enjoy 3 or 4 more half assed seasons of Miami's little hero getting shut down Cswol style.
"He was lucky enough to play with Shaq and Lebron"
There I just basically defined his career in one sentence.
-
Congrats to Lebron. I think he made the right decision. I respect a man that goes back home.
-
i have zero issues with a player who plays out this contract/s and decides to move on.

yep, looks pretty doggone accurate too!
CLE is in great shape. Picks 1,1,1,4, and possibly 1, in five years lol.
No long-term garbage contracts.
Lebron locked in, Kyrie locked in, and plenty of people wanting to come to town to play.
Whether planned or not, it worked out great.
LOL @ Stephen A Smith, suddenly on the "I said last summer, we might see this..."
He's been on the "Lebron staying in miami" bandwagon.
Honestly, seeing the body language during finals, I knew. we've all had that same look, in the final weeks of a job or relationship when we're just not emotional anymore. And pulling his kids out of exclusive MIA schools and enrolling them in Ohio? that was it - no explanation possible there.

how close is it? I think lebron would take 4-5 million less to get Love.
him not mentioning wiggins, though.. he was leaving door open to a trade. Also, wiggins is kinda a threat to lebron. He plays the same position, he was ranked so highly - he's essentially Lebron minus 35 pounds, almost idential in many other ways. Maybe lebron is kinda okay with not having the explosive rookie getting lots of love and crazy dunks when he can have a Love, getting his double double and locking down his man and just laying up the ball. Dunno, but wiggins could be the next lebron in the pros, not sure he wants that breathing down his neck. One minor injury and idiots like stephen A smith as asking "is lebron even the best forward ON HIS OWN TEAM?"
-
FUCK YEAH BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALL IS FUCKING FORGIVEN!!!!
Now lets make a play for Kevin Love, Ray "Jesus Shuttlesworth" Allen, Mike Miller and Birdman Anderson!
GO CAVS!!!!

Still better odds then kobe and his lakers
-
My Heat will suck next year, but they will be back. Just like right before they got Lebron, they were terrible, they will rebuild. think about it, They have no Big contracts unlike the Lakers. They can sign anyone they want, and players will come to Miami. I wouldn't trade the last four years, it was worth it.

overrated

The Lakers just traded for Jeremy Lin. What the fuck are they doing out there?

I thought there was no way he would leave Miami but then to go back to Cleveland?

Sure they will, just like the Lakers, Pistons, Bulls and Celtics are trying.

Cavs last place next year.

Big difference in character between Lebron and say Tiger Woods. Cavs owner threw Lebron totally under the bus for leaving 4 years ago and Lebron still goes back and plays for him. Tiger Would have never talked to that owner again and told everyone in his circle to not do business with him...When asked about the Cavs owner, Lebron said "who am I to bedrudge someone who didn't like what I did"...Props to Lebron. Shows a lot of growth...

Bosh resigned with Miami, 5 years at 25 million a year ;D

gilbert was betrayed. When he finished his talk with lebron in 2010, he was seen high fiving and celebrating. It's believed lebron told him what he wanted to hear (yes, I'll stay) then promptly traveled to Miami and signed. Hence the reson that Gilbert went so far overboard with that immature letter.

You know nothing about basketball. Wade was a one man team when he had Shaq in the that title run. Look at the stats in the finals. I actually watched, so I don't have to.

That was an odd thing huh?
Guy blew up for a few weeks then kinda just fell off the map.

Spot on. Shaq was the lucky one to have been on Wade's team. Wade was the best player on the court and put the team on his back

Absolute brutality from Mr. Certifiable Douche Bag Guy ::)
-
at this point, lebron is doing more for the OH economy than any other politician.
broke their heart, and now they appreciate him.
He could retire from basketball and, brace yourself, he could run for GOVERNOR and he could win.
He could have two successful terms, and if things go well, lol, call me crazy, but he could run for higher office.
Arnold was governor. Reagan was governor then president.
I dont know lebrons politics at all... I don't know his intelligence, other than a high school degree from a very tough high school. I don't know if he's even interested, and if he'd be able or even interested. But I do know he's the most beloved man in 50 years, in a swing state, who certainly has eyes on bigger things past basketball. And IF he chose to run for Mayor of cleveland right now, he'd probably win in a landslide lol. I'm watching to see if he does more and more "community" stuff, getting involved, donating, getting some admin experience at state level.

The problem is, who the hell is gonna come off the bench? They have no second unit except for an aging M. Miller and James Jones that rarely could get off Miami's bench.

Exactly, and now that they are overpaying for Love their hands will be tied financially and they would be able to improve the team. Miami Heat 2.0.
At this rate in 2 years Lebron is going to end up in OKC with Durant and Westbrook.

I bet they still take the East fairly easily.
The problem will be when they run into the deeper Western conference team that will emerge out of the West.
I still say Irving and Love is an upgrade compared to Wade and Bosh.
