The car I learned to drive on. I thought it was a faggy piece of crap when I learned to drive, prefering my dads SUV, but the thing grew on me, still miss that car like a mofo, although my mothers was a different color black.

I honestly think I'd have an interest in getting my licenses back if I could drive something similiar.

1970 Chevelle Malibu (350ci/325hp Th350 3 sp auto)
1967 Pontiac Lemans (GTO clone, 350ci/275hp 4 speed)
1968 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed (489ci/650hp Street/strip car)

Wish I had kept any one of those 3.

There is child like aura to your thinking that is truly inspiring. Most people see adulthood as a time when one figures out boundaries, takes care of their responsibilities, uses logic and reason to make rational decisions, gathers the respect of others, or in general puts together a coherent thought. It's refreshing to know you wont be bound by any of those contraints.

68 Plymouth Scamp 318 4 Barrel Orange and Black
76 Monte Carlo.
64 Corvair Monza 4 speed.
My father collected Classic and Antique cars years ago. Too many to mention, if he could have held on to some of them he would have been quite wealthy.

Nope wasn't a "clone" original 4-speed/big block car (had "442" "W-31" Emblems on it) but just had it painted for like the 2nd or 3rd time since I owned it....(I owned the car when they weren't considered "rare" we just raced em on the street and the at the track/quarter mile) so badges weren't put on yet
here is how it would look with the badges/emblems on it

i miss my 1976 datsun 260 Z i had back in 83,that thing was cool. fast as hell n good and gas n most important it was a pussy catcher bigtime, bitches loved that car. i had a 280 ZX in 88 but still liked my 76 260 Z better even tho the 83 280 ZX had much more features to it, the 260 Z was my first car so i guess thats why it was so special to me :'(

Even though it caused me so much trouble, was a money sink and a bad decision, I would keep this forever if it was a hobby car.

Ford Sierra Cosworth.

It was tuned up with a T4 turbo and other mods to have 412bhp. Turbo lag was awful but when it kicked in it was the same sensation as a plane taking off, and with that turbo it sounded the same too. Whole care would shake if you floored it in 2nd, before you knew it you're at 130mph. Took it to 166mph a couple times on the motorway, felt like it was going to fall apart but fucking exhilarating.

Kept getting pulled over by police (looked like a drug dealer car and I was 19 - often with friends in car), car kept having issues - had to replace petrol tank, then fuel lines, then this then that. Sold it for a big loss and got a civic, stuck with Jap cars since. Tried to use a toy as an everyday car without the money to do it, but it was fucking fun and an adrenaline rush.

Yeah, I hear ya
The last one I sold was the 66 mustang about 4 months ago. My garage is currently empty, it is getting harder and harder to find time to work on them. Hell, I can barely make it to the gym.  >:(

I always wanted on but heard so many horror stories

I even offered a guy money for one that I met in a supermarket car park

I ended going the imprezza route instead

the best car I ever had was a 205 gti the handling was phenomenal

if I can find a mint one id get one again

bit fragile though

Haha... the optispark ignition is a piece of shit that's fails on everyone. It was the LT curse.

My current project is a black 98 V6 Firebird that I swapped an LS1 and T56 6 speed manual into.I swapped all the suspension and running gear out of a wrecked 2001fully optioned SLP camaro (Bolsters shocks, springs,  k-member, control arms, etc).

So it looks like a lowly V6 car but it now has a 600 LS1 going in it and a pretty damn decent suspension setup.

It's suprised a few people with the stock LS1..... it'll surprise a lot more with this motor.

I had a white E36 M3 that I really liked. Like this in white:

Got a more "practical" vehicle when I became a dad.

My days of practicality are dwindling, and I am looking at this now, the M4 in this color with red leather interior:

Back in the day I thought the Road Runner was ugly, now I'd kill for a fully restored one...
My favorite car of all time (had 3 of them a 1970 440 six-pack "air-grabber" hood 4-speed/a 1972 383 4 -speed and a 1973 340 4-speed) and I found a 1970 Roadrunner "Superbird" with a blown 440 for $800 now a "six figure car) I could cry!
It was a great time period to be growing up!~~

68 Plymouth Scamp 318 4 Barrel Orange and Black
76 Monte Carlo.
64 Corvair Monza 4 speed.
My father collected Classic and Antique cars years ago. Too many to mention, if he could have held on to some of them he would have been quite wealthy.

my first car was a white/ w red interior '75 monte carlo w goodyear eagles and keystones rims.

i bought it from my best friends dad for $1800. he was a motorhead and the original owner.

i still dream abt that car. old guys would drive by me on the highway and give me the thumbs up and come up to me at the gas station and say 'thats a beauiful car son'. lol

when he passed (my friends dad) his wife called me and asked me if i wanted to buy his '66 chevy 2. it was mint. and a monster. put out 500 horse to the rear end. you couldnt step on it and keep it straight even at a roll. she wanted 5k for it. i was a kid and broke. thats the second car that haunts me. everything else i have wanted i have bought but had no emotional attachment, but those two haunt me.

Jesus H you guys have some shit taste in cars. Those 70s American cars were a pile of shit to drive. And fucking hideous. I miss my Integra because it was a nice drive and bulletproof. My GS 400 is on its last legs I think but I'll be damn if I don't love that car. Roomy as hell, built like a tank, a proper front engined RWD, 300hp/310lb torque. I wish I could restore it back to its form but I've put so much money on it and new problems keep propping up.
