I certainly don't but someone will pick him up by the end of the day so they can generate jersey sales. ::)

the Rams already have the most DE depth in the NFL.

Sam would make a good practice player but he isn't going to make an impact on game day.

This was breaking news on my fox news app, only because he's a cum guzzler....ridiculous.

It was a longshot....played well but the RAMS already had an established defense.  I would say that he would be re-signed for the RAMS practice team on Monday and get in if someone got injured or get picked up by a team with a currently shitty defense.

No shame in his game....he did everything he possibly could and did it well.

this is worse for the Rams, the league probably begged them to draft him to save face, wasted a draft pick

There was more talk generated about his "showering" than his game play...poor bastard :-[

Nah....NFL doesn't give a shit about saving face considering how many DUI, crack smoking, wife beating, steroid using players currently on the roster... ;D

Bad luck for him that the undrafted Westbrooks has turned out to be a beast playing the same position

He wasn't good enough. But I'm sure the ACLU, LBGT (or whatever it is) and every liberal rag will cry discrimination, call the Ram's and the NFL a bunch homophobes..yadda yadda yadda. ::)

Go speak for your athletes, Coach.  If he wasn't good enough, he would not have been picked.  You of all people should know that shit.

One of the stupidest statements you've made to date.

I think it comes down to his deception of the team with the "reality show" that was later cancelled.

He had this entire reality show sold and all ready, and he dropped it on the lap of the team, giving them a major surprise AFTER they drafted him.

If he's the type of person who will surprise them with "Oh, I brought a tv crew", totally putting them on the spot... then he's the type to have other surprises eventually.  It's like the player that got bullied on the Dolphins... if he's the personality to TRADE deaths threats (he was giving them too) with teammates, then go to mental hospital and get a lawyer... well, he's a loose cannon that they don't want around the team.

Personally, I thought his play WAS good enough.  Not amazing, but possibly good enough.  I think the Rams knew the moment the talk show was imposed on them, that 24 hours after game 4 of pre-season, no matter how he played, he was getting released.

Sam's boyfriends father and grandfather are mobsters out of Kansas City. I am sure that goes over well at "family" functions.

Sharpton should organize a march on STL Rams headquarters.

Also, Holder should set up a hotline for all current and former rams players to report homophobic remarks made by management and teammates.

I'm sure something stupid like that is in the works. It was actually the lead story on our local news.

That was the word on ESPN.
At the combine he had a slow 40 time and poor performance on the bench reps and vertical jump.

There have been plenty of people who have excelled at the combine and ended up playing like shit and vice versa.  Being able to bench press 40 reps doesn't mean you're going to be a great football player.

It was always a longshot with Michael Sam on the RAMS because they already have one of the best defense teams in the league and there was only one spot open.

If anyone watched the preseason games, it was clear that he could hang in the pro leagues with all of those sacks and tackles he made.  Even ESPN has to grudgingly admit that he can play.

LOL...do you even understand the difference between pre-season and In-season gamespeed and that he won't be going against guys fighting for a spot but rather most will be veterans? Practice squad at best. He did well but not enough to keep his position. Pre-season games are night and day.

the best defenses in the league?

are you fucking kidding? they are decent but one of the best in the league they certainly are not

He got a number of sacks and tackles in garbage time against garbage players. I think he is probably good enough to play in the NFL but didnt see anything that would cause anyone to go out of their way to snag him.

Yea, that's why I said that he'd prob end up on the Ram's practice squad.  He could continue to make improvements....spike up a bit, get on the juice,  and he'll be able to be called up when someone gets hurt or injured during the season.

This is the goal for every team but for Sams it will take at least year at best. He needs to put on size and even for as small as he is, he's not that explosive in his first step. He needs to develop greater explosiveness while adding size. But while he can do that, it may never be to NFL standards. BUT, he does have the heart and desire to prove himself so that may be enough to keep him on the practice squad and make a good living. He was good in college but the NFL is a whole different ballgame. These guys are ridiculously explosive and fast which why a 40 time means shit.

He has options....he just needs to go Tebow on his training routine which I think being on a practice squad would give him the opportunity to do.  Learn the routes, rules of a game, and lift weights until his time comes.  If it doesn't, I'd prob tell him to go to Canada and play like Doug Flutie did
