Lots of competitors do this, brag about eating junk all over thier Instagram while "dieting" for a show
-
Juan eats clean-ish the whole week, then has 1 full cheat day
-
take into consideration the drug usage these guys do and that everybodys different and the fact that they never tell u the truth, ive seen pros writing one diet down for a mag that they say they do n yet seeing them eat a totally different way
-
Juan eats clean-ish the whole week, then has 1 full cheat day
Great mentality.
He would have been very successful as an Olympic athlete with this level of sacrifice and discipline.
-
i couldnt stay strict mionth after month without a cheat meal once a week, its just to damn draining.i can go maybe 8 weeks without cheating buts thats it, ive done it before and was a miserable and depressed person
-
in his defence, he trains twice as often as everyone else on the list

I have a full cheat day every Sunday just like Juan, of course I don't put down anywhere near as much food. But after a week of strict dieting it's a mental relief and you look better

hahaha at the insulin abusers downing 2 cups of white rice per meal 7 times a day.

What a bunch of bullshit diets I remember when I used to actually believe that shit.
-
Cheat day is ok pretty close to a show sometimes. Also I believe that diets vary according to progress during different phases of the prep
-
It's their chemical diet that really makes all the difference...but that's a subject which is completely ignored by all those ridiculous mags. And besides, they make their income trying to sell crappy "supplements" and shakes and all other non necessary garbage.
-
I do not believe the supplements inserted in the diets. Some protein powder yes but anything else is highly unlikely. Also some start fairly lean while others fatter so the dieting might vary. I think Jim could comment on these examples better than us.

LOL @ Dexter using generic BCAAs and Gatorade
Many pros claim the use of BCAAs. I guess the Gatorade is a hebrew thing.

Looks like no one is doing Keto for the O..interesting, however a few of them actually are incorporating healthy fats good to see that.

Haha yeah, that's what he literally said on that seminar with Kai.

All those diets are B.S.Most pro bb stagger there carbs up and down. Why do you think when bodybuilders are interviewed. They say, or who ever Chris Aceto, or Hany thought I looked kind of flat so he carbed me back up.
You cant get ripped unless you move your carb and colories around. You got to keep the body guessing.
Otherwise it adapts and your plateu during the diet. Why do you think bodybuilders have cheat meals? To break the Plateu.
Its not rockets science. But any tool that thinks these guys eat the same diet everyday for 12 weeks, also beleives they are natural, lol
-
There is no plateau when on drugs. All the normal downregulating mechanism are eliminated by drugs, for ex. T3 doesn't go down - it's synthetic.
I think carb ups have value but I don't think it revs up the metabolism really.
I think it helps psychologically to have cheat days. Some would go insane without them. I know there are some bodybuilders who have done a whole diet without deviating from the diet food once or carbed up.
-
I tought the same thing,at one time.I was natrural for 16 years. Then I got on the gear.
I thought I am on gear now I dont have to diet as hard....Wrong.
With gear you can diet harder and not become catabolic, but you still have to diet hard.
Staggering carbs, gets the body to burn fat instead of glycogen.
You have to have higher carb days for brain function to replenish your glucagon levels.
Otherwise you get spacey and really really lathargic.
I dont care if your on T3, Tricana, Cytomel, or any other thyroid anataggonist. If you dont move your carbs and or calories around you will plateau.
In my 30 years of trial and eror I seen alot and learned alot.
Cheat days are for your sanity, but also throw the body off.
Dieting is just like traning. The body adapts, so you cannot do the same exact routine every week???
You have to change it up keep the body guessing. This is how you grow, and avoid plateaus

None of those are what I would call a diet to get lean. It must be nice to eat all of those carbs.
-
In an industry where everyone lies through their teeth on any given subject you cannot expect the truth about dieting. Farah must be doing something right with most people he trains. Will he be honest about dieting at his seminar? He adresses gym rats and amateurs so he might suggest what would work for them. He will never come out and explain really why some need so many carbs.
-
dude i know in the south uses Farah and the high carbs are real

Diets are so individual and fluctuate so often, I don't think most coaches give misinformation on purpose..it's just they have to speak in general terms. And can you blame him for not speaking openly on the effects of insulin? That'd be irresponsible.

i agree, they will never discuss the whole process publicly. I fo think Farah knows his dieting.. The results speak for themselves
I watched his seminars because I wanted to undertand better how he does his thing. Unfortunately there were bits and pieces as each diet is suited according to how one's body evolves etc

I know Hany and Fak have their guys eating a ton of food , with fak we have competitors on here saying an excess of 10k calories for a short period of time

I know someone who said he just couldn't eat as much as Fakhri prescribed. Probably a good thing as that much food can really fuck you up. The stretch on the abdominal wall from such volumes of food will spread your abs. :D

Milos spoke openly about it to anyone and everyone. Who hurt himself or died? I don't think the reason is concern for the kids. :D

I know that Farah like to have his athletes use more carbs. He must have them using insulin.
Insulin gives you and ugly look. You can tell some one who uses insulin and someone who doesnt.
They got a softer look 90% of the time.
When it comes to gurus, I think Chris Aceto is the most consistant.Hany is hit or miss.If he likes you or you get him alot of publlicity. You will do well.If you just one of his regulars. Its hot or miss.
Chad is pretty good.Art Atwood was pretty good to, may he rest in peace. He would make his athletes suffer.Diet really hard, but they looked good.
I think zig zagging the carbs works best for naturals and not naturals. On your low carb days protein has to be really high, and you got to use good fats.Like red meat natural peanut butter, flax, CLA etc etc.On your higher carb days to replensih glycogen keep fat low, and protein not that has aswell.
This way glycogen gets back into the muscles.
A good way to see if your body is in homeostasis is check your body temperature. If your temperature drops below 97 degress you need to up your calories or cut back on the cardio
When the body temperature drops to low that means the body wont burn fat.
You can use a ear thermometer/.It only takes a few seconds.A natural bodybuilder should monitor his body temp 1-2 times per day/

Problem is you can't fix the lower temperature with a cheat meal or a higher carb day. The body is not so easily fooled.
The only way around the metabolic problems is drugs. Thyroid hormones to bring those back. Lower cathecholamines fixed with stimulants. And so on.

I think farah talks alot of bullshit honestly. He basis alot of his methods on his own experience wich was alot diffrent then other athletes because george got shot and only had function of one of his kidneys if I'm not mistaken and he had to lower his protein intake because the doctors said he was very close to becoming a dialysis patient that's why george dropped his protein intake. I seriously doubt kai or some of georges athletes listen to anything he says, they could just use him because he has a good steroid and HGH connection. It's not like he brought kai and dexter up from the amateurs dexter had already won one Mr.Olympia without george and honestly Kai looked better when he was working with oscar Arden.
Some of what george farah says is all bullshit or just dosn't make sense.I think he definately basis alot of what he says on how he had to diet due to the kidney problem he had from the gunshot. George Farahs athletes all had big established names for themselves before they worked with him. All his athletes are on heavy PEDS. george is just over-rated. The only thing I like about farahs method is the detox phases he preaches.
Every prep coach or guru has to market themselves somewhat diffrent then the rest of the other gurus but farah is nothing to special. I actually think palumbo is a real honest guy and he dosn't really preach crazy high dosages,I don't think some of daves nutrition advice is not that great but it's not total shit. Palumbo was a huge mcdonalds fan and fast food junkie and he tells his athletes it's cool to eat mcdonalds everyday or some kind of fast food everyday, just one meal and I know with all the drugs it;s not that big of a deal eating mcdonalds once a day but if you can be 1-2% better if you stay away from mcdonalds stay away from it.

Lots of competitors do this, brag about eating junk all over thier Instagram while "dieting" for a show
This
Some also claim to be eating loads of carbs and cals.
It makes them sound special you see, if they actually wrote that they were eating 2500 cals and going lower on carbs they wouldn't seem windswept and interesting.

at the risk of sounding naive, it's not inconceivable that a shredded 280 lbs pro bbber who injects a pharmacy of drugs and trains twice a day, every day, can get away with a couple cheat meals

I can't wait for after the Olympia when they take jaun to five guys and do the burger challenge. There going to vuideo how many burgers juan can eat. alot of us saw him eat 20,000 calories without being phased so this burger challenge is interesting. I wish I had a sponsor buying me all that food and gear.
