Title: "I'm too poor to be healthy"
Post by: 240 is Back on October 10, 2014, 10:40:39 AM
"An obese mother-of-two who lives on benefits says she needs more of taxpayers' money to overhaul her unhealthy lifestyle.
Christina Briggs, 26, says she hates being 160 kilos but she can't do anything about it because she can only afford junk food. Meanwhile, exercise is out of the question because she doesn't have the funds to join a gym."

This is why I cannot believe in evolution because if somethings sole purpose is to survive it adapts to survive by any means and it looks like there is millions of lazy bitches like this all over the planet.

And there will be until the end of humanity.

Society changed more than what Darwin expected, since it's easier to live now than then.

What the biotches have done, is to adapt to the situation, and the situation is not as harsh now as it were back then.

Back then you couldn't survive by acting like many do today.

There should be a prison for people like those where you lock them up and only feed them with water and vegetables and nuts.

We live in such amazing times that the #1 health problem amongst the truly destitute is obesity.

well, a double cheeseburger at McD's (or any fast food chain, almost) is about $1.70 or so, and provides about 440kcals (most dbl cheeseburgers at fast food chains are in the 390-440kcal range)...

soooo, this lady can spend a lil under $8/day and get about 2000kcal (with ketchup/bbq sauces, etc...), that's plenty of kcals for an average person (avg person who doesn't do shit all day).

or, she can spend 3.50/wk on a gal of milk, and have a diet of 2 boxes of mac n cheese ($.47 each, generic) and 2 bags of Ramen ($.50 total) per day and spend $104/month on food that would provide about 4000kcal per day, enough for her and her two small kids (I think she had 2 small kids in the pic I saw.. just woke up, I can't remember?? lol).

if she were 'eating healthy', she'd expect to at the very least double that amount, if not quadruple.

and a gym membership? avg about $300-350/year... probably cheaper at some local "rec-center" type gym or YMCA or something.

some of these people need to learn how to budget.

I don't feel bad for her, I feel bad for her children. Who knows what she is feeding them. Looks like they are not overweight though.

at tjhat weight, 25 stone, she's clinically obese and will get a FREE gym membership on the nhs.

plus all this about not being able to afford to eat healthy is just complete fucking bullshit. i find it cheaper to feed a family with fresh meat and veggies than it is to buy the sort of over processed shite she stuffs down her neck.

i can guarantee that every other meal is from some nasty paki takeaway for burger and chips or donner meat and chips.

her kids would be better off took into foster care than with her.

I have often pondered this.

Why are so many obese people dressed up as "homeless" and asking me for my change on the street?

for example

THIS!
I see 3 fully abled 30-50yr olds begging on my drive home from work standing at intersections with signs that say "hungry" while their guts are sticking out farther than a 9 month pregnant woman's. It really pisses me off and I always ask myself "do these men have no pride or shame at all?!"

11/10!!!  I punched a hole through the wall and emailed a rant to a local councilman.

Are you retarded? Social welfare is the antithesis of darwinism. Propping up the weak from the spoils of the rich. The original intention was good and could still be but when a culture of dependence is created and catered to of course people will take full advantage.

There need to be rules and boundaries set on recipients of benefits. Be that drug tests, education, attempts to work or even limits on child welfare to discourage people squeezing out 10+ sponges. Bleeding hearts will moan about this but while welfare goes unchecked those in need see their benefits reduced and there is a growing stigma towards benefits claimants many of whom have just lost a job or have problems.

You nailed it.  Other day two girls were on the news asking for donations to her their mom out who lost everything in a fire.  Each one had about two thousand dollars worth of tattoos all over their arms.
