Speak on the reasoning for this...I have my own conclusions...
Prime example? Arnold had a great chest, but subpar shoulders
Phil Heath has great shoulders, but subpar chest

What about Coleman? Perfect bodybuild shoulders and pecs.

My best bodypart is my delts. I've been critiqued on the national stage as having a shallow chest. I'd say that in pressing movements people with stronger shoulders end up taking the stress off their pecs.

Fucking thank you, ive been kicking around this theory for awhile there are two types of builds in this world. Chest dominant, or shoulder dominant. 99% of gym-bros fall into one these two categories.
shoulder dominant bros are usually have absolutely zero lats, walking stick figures. Most hebrews fall into this category.
i swear you take away these decent shoulders on some of these gym bros and they would even look like they had seen a weight in their life.
that being said my theory is poor mind muscle connection on bench/other compounds, recruiting more shoulders than chest.

I'm chest dominant. Deltoids = meh.
I've actually quit training chest and I'm prioritizing deltoids to try to bring my physique into balance.

AGreed! always been chest dominant -Arnold type sloping shoulders-finally look better after trt and deca:) some of thest guys hit a cycle and/or gh and ONLY have good shoulders lol

I suffered with shallow chest, I trained it harder everyway imaginable but if the fibres aren't there or they don't respond, not much more you can do

There is also this body type division: "Limb Physique" vs "Torso Physique"

You need to get the chest muscles tired before pressing, superset pec deck flyes with dumbbell press, as soon as you do the pec deck flyes go straight to the dumbbells without resting using lighter dumbbells getting a deep stretch at the bottom and squeezing at the top.

I always wonders with vinces super hypertrophy system, what happens once you've gained that extra inch on your pecs or arms, do you gain more next month or does it stop?..im supprused anabollocko hasn't been kept awake at night pondering it???

This is my situation exactly. Full round muscle bellies everywhere except pecs. My coach says I have "Centopanni Syndrome." :(

I had great shoulders...My chest was shit...Even doing chest flyes with dumbells proabably would not have helped...Would not the front delts take over?
Anyways, I did not mind to much...Big shoulders look better in clothes..

I'd rather take advice from a pencilneck who built himself into something with no or minimal drugs than a dude who bounced a bar off his chest for a couple of years as a teen and looked like Bertil Fox.

What about Gary Strydom? Great shoulders, great pecs.
Someone mentioned Haney as a torso-dominant dude. While that's largely true, he had some big delts on him plus those giant pecs.
And a bunch of people don't give Dorian his due for very big delts and thick pecs.
Franco had good shoulders and pecs. So did Roy Callendar.
Nasser had a pretty good chest on him in addition to great delts, and that was before he went nuts with site-injecting all of those panty-sniffer weirdos' semen into his shoulders and arms (yes, Alex, Fallsview and all of your other "stay positive!" chickenshit gimmicks, I'm looking at you).
Branch Warren has good delts and, before the tears, had great pecs.
There is something to the torso-dominant/limb-dominant bodytype, but plenty of people have built great delts and pecs -- and sometimes, even great arms atop that.
Poor Ronnie. Time has every man's number.

When Arnold was young, there was quite a noticeable slope to his shoulder structure. Do you suppose this body type enjoys better chest development?

Pec Deck. but you don't press with your elbows and forearms, i don't feel shit when i do that.
grab the bottom of the pads with your hands, flare your elbows out, and DON"T make a wide swinging motion like you normally would. keep the motion tight, the pads should never be more than a few inches in front of your chest. and just "open and close" the machine. it should be linear, not circular. Elbows out and squeeze. think more that you're pulling the handles in with your pecs, than pushing them with your arms
And I move the seat up and down....and grab different parts of the pads to hit upper and lower.
My theory is that Bad body parts are bad because biomechanically, you are set up where it's hard to get a good "feel" for them, you lose tension on the muscle, or dominant muscles take the workload.
what I try and do is figure out ways around it.

It's not shoulders and chest, it's TRICEPS and chest.
Big TRIS shitty chest and vice versa.
Any even the great Ron Coleman was a victim.

Ronnie Coleman Didnt have bad triceps. The long and lateral heads were not as prominant as the medial head. Sergio had big lateral and long head, and a great chest. So did Serge Nubret.
There are different variables. For instance, Levrone and Phil have similar shaped triceps and similar shaped chest and delts. Flex Wheeler had great tricep shape, but didn't have a great chest. Shawn Ray and Eddie Robinson had very good tricep shape and great chests.
