Yes Short reps, restricting range of motion, looser form is just an excuse to use heavier weights

full ROM on bench press is madness. Whats the point of taking the chest completely out of the chest exercise?

I totally prefer that look than the stage look as well. But some homo ass judging system insists they have striated glutes now at the expense of the rest not looking as good as it could.
