Of course when you get lean your face will look leaner too. Most look better with a lean face but some don't. In my experience with keto my face complexion improves a lot eating mostly meats and lots of veggies.

My face changes dramatically when I cut. I've been told I look better with a lean face, which is a shame because I'm a fatty at heart ;D
I use keto to cut with a carbup every week or every other week (depending on how lean I am, the leaner I get the more carbup days I get).
I find younger guys will look better with a lean face, when my dad lost a ton of weight at 48yo his face looked leaner but he definitely started looking older.

When I competed and managed to get very lean people added 5 years to my age. It's a matter of finding a good balance between body and face. I am leaning out currently and my goal is to be 5 kilos heavier than my leanest comp weight.

It's not the Keto or low carbs. It's the leaness that fucks them up. Missing periods and hornones get all out of wake. There never meant to get that lean

I only missed one period when I got down to 49 kilos. I had zero sex drive.

I was a maniac when I put on some bodyfat. My sex drive was too high. I always thought it was just the dieting and all the training and focusing on a comp which lowered the sex drive. But now I know it was hormone related.

There are essential fatty acids, fats, and essential amino acids, proteins, but there are no essential carbohydrates, none. That's the pure science of nutrition.

Women have a layer of fat under the skin (baby fat, if you will) that most men don't. As they age, they lose this softening layer which is why women are more prone to wrinkling then men are. This has nothing to do with how many carbs they ingest. In fact there is a point at which for a woman being chubby might make them actually look less wrinkled.

As a person ages it's best to stay lean to avoid the turkey neck. That thought is frightening.

You read something into my earlier post that was not there. I never said I like fat women. Fact is, I think athletic looking women are very sexy.
It seems as if many more women today are carrying around extra fat, but then so are a lot of men.

Coffee comes from a plant. It therefore contains carbs. Why would you think it didn't contain carbs? And, why do you need to drink coffee, that in reality is just dirty water?

I've been advising people on this site, that want to lose body fat. When you think about it, why would bodybuilders be fat slobs at all? Vince Gironda didn't have a body fat problem. He could eat some carbs, and it wasn't a problem. If someone is fat, then to get rid of the body fat, you have to cut the carbs completely out of your diet. No cheat days, no "moderate" amounts, just none.
Once you get to the body that you want to have, then you can add some carbs to your diet again. If you start porking out again, then you know you added too many carbs to your diet, and need to cut back again. It really is that simple.

well if i was intrested in the Atkins diet ;D then i might worry about less than 1 gramm in a cup of coffee.. or that it will hinder weight loss . Indeed studies show it can aid in sport performance and even causes muscles to burn more fat, preserving glycogen and delaying fatigue. a good thing in my opinion. you can drink decaffeinated coffee if you want to really be sure.

On Keto at the moment, taking a magnesium supplement along with potassium and alot of salt on your food is crucial.Otherwise you are in for headaches and flu feelings galore from lack of electrolytes.

Imaginary fat issues? Hey, they posted here, that they wanted to lose body fat. Told them how it was done. Last I checked I'm about 9%, but that was over a year ago. Mostly I just check the mirror, and I like what I see. Awesome indeed.

You claimed it, now post a pic as you were bugging coach about.
Also, how the heck are you 9% bodyfat eating foods that it's impossible to put on fat no matter how much you eat? That's pretty good for an everyday person but for someone with such a magical diet that's pretty high.

I thought that was me bugging for the pic. Maybe another thread. Anyway you absolutely can lose fat with less carbs and cheat days and all that. I've done it recently as have millions. I've also lost fat on 70/30 carb to protein. Eric is as nutty as a coffee bean.

I'm with Eric C-note on this one. While you theoretically can lose fat, 70% carbs will result in high blood sugar.
That said, the Coffee Bean line was funny. :)

Not with reduced calories, contest prep training and cardio. And not when it is in the overall context of moving from a diet higher in fat to one with little fat. Hey, do what you want but it worked for me and it wasn't theoretical. Used that diet to lean out for multiple contests over multiple years and it worked well. Now that I train much much less I do mostly low carbs. But this is many years after competing and more of a lifestyle choice to trim down after putting on too much weight just eating whatever for several years.
Ironically, at this point I tend to agree more with Eric C on the basic philosophy of lowering carbs drastically now. I don't agree with his extreme statements like stuff about avoiding the carbs in coffee. But I don't care much about size or strength now either.

This claim would only be true when you eat many high glycaemic foods individually, but it's a whole different story when you add foods with fats or fibers, and there are other factors as well that suppress that glycaemic load. There's simply no need to avoid all carbs.

Carbs is to compensate for brain damage, it stops it from progressing unnecessary further.

That's a much smarter approach. I keeps your body guessing, which results in a higher metabolism. Another variation is 'the ultimate diet 2.0 (http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/ultimate-diet-20/)' from Lyle McDonald, but that's only intended for those who strive for a single digit bodyfat %. His book is an interesting read that got me thinking.

The best condition I got it, I was doing a 3 day rotation diet where I ate very low carbs on day one, a few more carbs on day 2 and then a high day of carbs for day 3. It kept my body guessing and I weighed in at 49 kilos ( no breast implants).

Agree about avoiding all carbs, but at 70% you're gonna be burning carbs for low intensity activities when you should be burning fat. The low capacity of storage space for carbs via Glycogen is the tipoff that carbs shouldn't comprise the majority of caloric intake.

I think it's hard to put a number on the impact of carbs; it's a very individual thing with factors like daily activities, weight, age, metabolic rate, etc. I simply measure my bf% to make sure it's 10% or lower.

Very good - athletic but still feminine looking - physique.. Dumbasses that say derogatory things are just jealous that a woman achieved better condition than them (which is pathetic as its MUCH easier for a man).. Obviously you dont STAY that condition and anyone that can't appreciate the hard work should get the fuck off a bb site..
