Why? He's a drug-pumped bodybuilder.
Would you also like to see a math teacher build a rocket? ???

Very flexible, for sure. I'm nowhere near that, even tho I'm quite a lot younger. Maybe I should start doing that stuff.
-
He's a perfect personification of the current state of bodybuilding. Any chick w/out an STD would not give him the time of day.

By the time you pay for shipping and handling and tax, youre paying about $12.00 for a gallon jug.
Ya know, you can easily go buy a gallon milk, use that milk in the protein shake, then use the jug after lol
-
You can't stretch oil.
...As long as it doesn't physically get in the way, I'm not surprised that he has the flexibility of a much smaller man.

Hardcore for life, broskie. :D :D

Oil, like water, takes the path of least resistance. put it in a bag drop it into a round, square, rectangular or triangular container and it will take on the shape of that container.
So long as its not a five pound container trying to hold ten pounds of shit.....errr..oil.

your comment proves my point, he claims to have a very strong and functional body but it couldn't be further from the truth because 1 mile could literally kill him due to the increase of sustained blood pressure. I'd give the math teacher better odds

Well, a marathon runner has a strong and functional body, as well ... specific to what it is HE does. Put him under a 500-pound barbell and he'll likely wind up in hospital.
What is so difficult, for you people who wage such idiotic arguments, to understand about the whole concept of sport specificity? No elite performance athlete can be exceptional across the spectrum of physical athletic attributes.
To be exceptional in any one area ALWAYS requires the others to be largely downplayed.
The healthiest and most "functional" person is the guy who does a bit of everything in a hobbiest fashion. Not being truly exceptional at anything.
Work your brain as hard as you possibly can and consider what I've said.
P.S. The Piano guy is a total asshat and a poor example of anything beyond psychotic drug usage.

Trust me they have girls that would jump on him in a second, even without STD.

Was very impressed by that.

Girls and sons who have not been loved by their fathers seek attention once teens and adults to compensate for what they didn't have originally. Fathers either left them alone, or were distant most of the time and not encouraging them.
Some even despised them which would shape their personality and the way they they interact with others for the rest of their life.
They are extremistic in everything they do, always looking exaggeratly for attention (Hello Goodrum), and have troubles adapting to society's rules, because they also have troubles defining their own identity and respecting authority and hierarchy.
Also boys who got picked on by others during childhood and adolescence -often sons without a father figure- try to compensate by lifting weights, to develop muscles and survive in ther male world.
They're insecure because they're girly, childish, feminine having been raised by a single mom.
They lift obsessively hoping it will transform them into men, to compensate for their lack of influence from a father figure that was not there. Unfortunaltey they can get as big as they can it doesnt cure their insecurity and who they truly are, how they grew up being raised by a single mom. They re no as manly as other men whatever they do, and they often have a big lack of masculine presence they dont know how to balance, hence often being borderline homosexuals while trying to get their manhood back thru various manly activities (mma, cars, weight lifting etc).
They are often the ones that, in order to get respect from other males will go the steroids route to get even "bigger" attemptint to cure their insecurity , but being natural not being "enough", they still feel "too small", insecure, amongst other males. The lack of a father figure also often means they didnt have guidance to continue studies and are often working shitty manual jobs.

hey jackass I'm not talking a marathon, I'm talking 1 mile, this is something every healthy adult should be capable of but I'll bet he can't , so the claim of functionality of his muscle/body falls on its face. I feel as though we are trying to make the same point

Haha brutal marketing to high schoolers. Imagine anyone over 16 carrying one of these around in a public place. You might as well spray pussy repellant all over yourself.

Yup!
Functionnality is sports specific but imo some athletes are good (not great) accross the board: hockey players, rubgy players combined both anaerobic and aerobic fitness and a good amount of strength. They have good verticals, lateral propulsion, can change direction quickly, recover fast from high output activities etc..
The Piano Guy is flexible, not functional, or at least it was not displayed in that video.
-
im amazed he is still alive
-
I love the jealousy you poor dipshits post about guys being non functional and crap.
And almost certain this is from a bunch of sorry ass twinks.
Keep being athletic and non impressive, as you surely can't wait to tell the next group of people you meet how many pullups you can do and how damn fit you are.
Of course you have to tell us as looking at you, there is no way to tell you've even been to a gym.
Fail.

Incredible flexibility for a big guy. How is his vertical leap and sprinting speed to test power? What can he power clean to show his power? He can be the most flexible 300lbs guy in the gym but if he can't power clean his own body weight he is not powerful. How is his VO2 for short distance endurance? Can he run a 1.5 miles for a decent speed? Does he have real endurance past the tested VO2? How is his single rep strength?
I'm not putting him down. I'm just pointing out the term functional has some parameters. Yes specificity of sport is huge. The days of being both a bodybuilder and an Olympic weight lifter are over like Tommy Kono, Grimek and a few others did.
Remember the ABC sports show The Super Stars? They took athletes for all different sports and made them compete in such things as Sprinting, half mile run, biking, swimming, bowling, hitting base balls, power jerking a barbell, and an obstacle course. Lou Ferrigno and Mike Mentzer both competed. The rules were if you were an athlete in a sport contested you couldn't do that test. So baseball players couldn't hit baseballs from the pitching machine. Joe Frazier the boxer nearly drowned in the pool. He never swam in his life and thought he could swim just because he was a boxer. Big Lou actually did really good. On his preliminary he won his group. On the final he had some bad luck in some events. I was surprised how good he was hitting baseballs. I think he power jerked in horrific form about 320lbs off the racks. He was beaten by the shot putter Brian Oldfield who could easily jerk 400lbs off the racks. Mentzer was as slow as molasses in the 100 yard dash. I think he was defeated with 310lbs jerk off the rack if my memory serves me right. Remember it wasn't a half press from a smith machine but the barbell resting on the clavicles jerk. Lou actually ran a 2:21 half mile. If you're not impressed by that put a treadmill on 13MPH and try to run a half mile.

The only thing that would have made it worse better would have been if his wig had come off.

Who the fuck would buy this? ::) ::) ::)
what kind of company would sell it?

why do I find this thread erotic?

Functional? - LMAO! Piano couldn't even run a mile... he would be gassed after 2 blocks.
He got his ass beat by a 140lb twink during a wrestling match... got his knee destroyed too. Maybe someone can post that vid again here... it makes me laugh.

Are you surprised or just stupid he lost the wrestling match?
Seems to me we saw a bb'er hold his own rather well against a grappler not so long ago. I didn't expect him to do so well.
BB'ers are not trained like those fighters who practice their craft everyday. Duh... you fuckin' IDIOTS,, FUCK!!!

Hadurrr detected! ;D
@oldtimer - pretty interesting. Would have loved to watch that show... Frazier not being able to swim had me chuckle.

Those old Superstars and Wide World of Sports's were fun shows, hard to find even on Youtube. To be fair, Frazier swam ok, just very slow and clumsy -

LOL That's because shot putters are some of the strongest most explosive athletes in the world. Olympic lifters and shot putters at the world class level can actually outrun most NFL players and sprinters in the first 10-25 yards. Throwers too, those guys are all huge fast athletic freaks. A thrower or shot putter isnt even taken seriously in the soviet union if he cant close grip bench 450. Not really fair to judge a bodybuilder in any athletic event who doesnt train his CNS at all

2:19 Frazier had to stand up in the low end or drown.

Mike Mentzer ran a 18:23 100 yard dash in the 1982 Super Stars. ;D He did power jerked 320lbs to come in second to big Lou.
