Billionaire man-whore, talks shit about China, doesn't really know policy but screams the loudest about it. Get big member all the way :D
Donald Trump: ‘I am officially running for president of the United States’
Donald Trump promised to “take the brand of the United States and make it great again,” as he announced a 2016 bid for the presidency on Tuesday morning in New York City, making good on nearly 30 years of hinting at a possible White House run.
“Our country needs a truly great leader, and we need a great leader now,” Trump said. “We also need a cheerleader.” The real estate mogul and reality star admitted that he thought President Obama could have been a good cheerleader for the nation when he was elected in 2008, but failed to lead.
“Our country is in serious trouble, we don’t have victories anymore,” Trump said to a raucous crowd while detailing what he considers America’s diminished standing compared to nations like China. “I beat China all the time,” he said.
He opened his remarks by taking shots at the current 2016 GOP field. “How are they going to beat ISIS?” he asked rhetorically. Trump spend a lot of time discussing foreign policy and America’s international reputation. “The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems,” Trump said singling out Mexico in particular for criticism.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best, they’re not sending you, they’re sending people who have lots of problems,” he said. Trump also argued that the economic recovery is not as robust as had been reported. “Don’t believe that 5.6% [rate],” he said. According to Trump, the real unemployment rate “anywhere from 18-19 and maybe even 21%.”
In addition to promising to repeal Obamacare, Trump pledged to “make America great again.” Following his campaign announcement the DNC said in a tongue-in-cheek statement, “He adds some much-needed seriousness that has previously been lacking from the GOP field.”

Isn't every loaded "business Tycoon" in the US running for President? ???

Isn't every loaded "business Tycoon" in the US running for President? ???
running the USA is NOT like running a business. The last 2 "business" presidents were hoover (great depression) and MBA Dubya Bush - who ushered in the 2nd great depression/banking crash in 2008.
In business, you can drop the "dogs" and keep the cash cows. As president, however, you can't just keep texas and NY and drop all the Tennessee's and Californias, the inbred states with illegals and massive debt. In business, you can fire useless employees - you can't do that with 40 million americans that refuse to work.
It looks great on paper, but the best businessmen are the best businessmen - and they're not the best presidents.
Trump is hilarious because he's a lifetime liberal that decided in 2008 he would be the anti-obama once obama was done in office, and many repubs are too stupid to realize that. ??? Repubs are a leaderless party, and may just latch onto him - even tho he has a history of being anti-gun, pro-tax, pro-liberal on everything.

"Finally, a politician (Trump) who I can actually relate to! He understands US, he's not some out of touch washington idiot!"
Um, trump is worth 9 billion bucks, he was born a millionaire, he's never eaten commoner food, he wants to cancel your free healthcare. Aside from the fact you watch his show, in which he crushes dreams and slow-mo walks from limo to lear jet to skyscraper... what exactly is relate able?

Best combover out of any candidate.

How exactly was Dubya a "businessman"? Having a MBA doesn't make you a "businessman" - whether it's from Harvard or some worthless online diploma mill. Businessmen operate under things like budgets and controlled spending. A businessman would have gotten the oil if he had weighed the risks and made the decision to go to Iraq.
And Dubya didn't "usher in the 2nd great depression/banking crash in 2008".
Like Cruz, Trump won't win the nomination, but he should make things interesting if he doesn't drop out early.

oh, we will never see trump's financial papers. He can extend for 5+ months, which gives him adequate time to make his points, get his tv attention, then pull out of the race.
forbes has him at 4 billion - he claims 8.5 billion and upwards of 27 billion in properties. no serious politician TRIES to be further out of touch with common man. Romney shied away from it, as do all wise rich politicians.

Another 240 panic hit thread. lmao

This is just all political theatre. He's not going to win. Not too sure why people are getting all worried. Its Trump. He will do anything to stay in the limelight.

Dubya was an MBA who owned oil, baseball, etc.
Hoover was the other businessman president. Everyone wants one. But in reality, businessman fire/discard those entities that are cash drains. You cannot dump states as president. You're stuck with them. Managers who know law, can lead groups to compromise and understand history make the best president- not robber barons that hire and fire, buy and sell and move on. People don't get that.

Scared? Haha. I like the guy. He's a side show but he knows how to make money, create jobs, tells it like it is and most of the time he's dead on. But like I said, he's better than ANYONE that the left has to offer. You're lib hack 240. Admit it.

He's a sideshow? Or he's qualified and mature enough to be president? Which is it?

most of the time he's dead on.
Actually, I thought you'd be turned off by all the liberal positions Trump has had over the years.
Very cool to see you look past his support of universal healthcare, gun control, and other lib issues. I disagree with those, but hey, that's just me.

Dubya seems like a good guy who I wouldn't mind drinking whiskey with. But he sucked as a businessman even with a rich dad and great connections, and had obvious shortcomings as president. To say that a great businessman like Romney could not have also been a great president because of Dubya's experiences as a "businessman" and a president is rather naive.
And no, I don't think Trump will win the nomination. I'd be shocked if he's around long enough to make it into a debate. But he'll be entertaining.

Retard Trump announces he'll run for president about....well every four years. But he never delivers. Attention whoring liar
i think this is the first time he's officially announced. Every other time, just flirted with it and teased people. He SAYS he'll be filing financial papers - until that happens (30 days max but he can file for two 45-day extensions), I don't believe it until I see it.
I think he's just fishing to see if he COULD win. Given the current mess of repub candidates, trump could get 20% of the "amused" vote by the idiot tv viewers, and the actual qualified dignified candidates would split the remained of the vote 19%/19%/19%/19%, and Trump wins it lol.
It COULD happen. He's rich and gives no fcks. The way he was outright INSULTING the other candidates, I couldn't be surprised if they boycotted any debate he's invited to attend.

If Trump is really serious about turning the country around, perhaps after the nominations are over and it's Bush vs Clinton in the general election, Trump can put many millions to use running Hillary attack ads on all networks who will sell him time.
-
trump will get a lot of support from BOTH parties. lol, he's going to make a real impact here. he'll just never announce his money - he has 4 months til then.

Trump already creating jobs
Donald Trump's big presidential announcement Tuesday was made a little bigger with help from paid actors — at $50 a pop.
New York-based Extra Mile Casting sent an email last Friday to its client list of background actors, seeking extras to beef up attendance at Trump's event.

Donald Trump tees off on the Confederate flag
Newly-minted presidential candidate Donald Trump joined his fellow Republican contenders Tuesday in calling for the South Carolina legislature to remove the Confederate flag from the statehouse grounds.
"I think they should put it in the museum and let it go," Trump said of the flag during an appearance at his new golf course in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. "Respect whatever it is you have to respect, because it was a point in time, and put it in a museum. But I would take it down. Yes."
Always the showman, Trump made his pronouncement from a podium perched atop a noisy man-made waterfall at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, one of the latest additions to his far-reaching real estate empire. Trump filed paperwork to become a White House candidate this week, finally making his decades-long flirtation with a presidential run official.
But even as he took questions about issues of the day, his golf outing was another reminder that Trump is as keen on promoting himself and his business interests as much as his candidacy. After taking questions, he took a driver and teed off from the first hole before the cameras.
Ditch Confederate flag? Many S.C. lawmakers say yes
2016 hopefuls react to Nikki Haley's call to move Confederate flag
Wearing a red baseball cap with his name on it, Trump transitioned back and forth between golf speak and more serious matters like the Confederate flag.
CBS News also asked Trump, a man famous for showing off his dollars, what woman he wants to see on the $10 bill.
"My mother," Trump deadpanned, much to the delight of the members-only golf club crowd that erupted with laughter and applause.

" The USA has never beaten Japan in anything." :o :o :o

Trump would make a terrible president....he's way too hot headed and immature to have that kind of power.

Trump is polling 2nd nationally among repubs and in a statistical dead heat tie with jeb.
Yes, people truly are that stupid. They'd rather have an entertainer than a leader.
Polling source fox/brietbart. It's legit. Trump is a populist lifetime liberal that hates Obama and amnesty. So are most conservatives on getbig.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_liberalism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_liberalism)
I consider myself a "classical liberal" / social libertarian and a fiscal conservative. I also believe in a strong national defense and an assertive foreign policy - I don't believe the federal government should be involved in much more than those two things. A common sense immigration policy (not blanket amnesty) falls under those two things IMO.
Trump's buildings and other businesses have certainly created lots of jobs. A businessman will always create jobs somewhere. A government hack will not.
-
one thing about Donald Chump is he's a smart mothafcker......how many times has he been running for president again?.......he does know how to stay relevant in the news and increase his stock in the process and fools are paying attention to him... ;D ;D
-
He just pissed off every Latino to a point where Univision is dropping his pageant.
Not too smart.
BUT he knows the republican base is so blinded with anti-amnesty emotion, that they're willing to get behind ANYONE who is against it. And right now, it's just Ted Cruz and Trump that are the anti-amnesty candidates.
( repubs just booted eric cantor over amnesty - they are boiling over it. )
There are something like 14 declared republicans/about to declare?
If the Rinos in the middle can split up the vote with 4% each, and Trump can get a nice 17% of the vote from being anti-mexican, anti-amnesty, anti-obama, pro-yelling, then he can make it to the last 3 standing in the primary race against a jeb, cruz, christie, whoever. THEN he can spend a billion of his own money and just own the airwaves. against hilary, who knows, anything can happen.
Remember, repubs thought PALIN was the answer in 08, they almost chose CAIN in 2012. They'd jump on trump in a minute. They'd rather be entertained by an anti-obama, anti-amnesty screamer, than led by a competent leader.
-
All of this is pretty much useless banter anyway. Hillary will win unless somebody can really take her down.
When you've got scores of current and former Wall Street legends and other bigshots still kissing your ass even though you're saying corporations don't create jobs and that you intend to "reshuffle the deck", and that it's obvious to them that you're totally corrupt and completely untrustworthy and they make excuses for you like enabling family members would do - you're pretty much already crowned.
-
Not all businessmen are the same. Trump is a tough, hard edge mofo and isn't going to be intimidated or played by anybody. Unlike Obama he's not about making friends and appeasing his enemies. He's always ready and never afraid to scrap.
People are sick of politicians. Perot made a good play and was a very real threat until people realized he was a bit Koo-Koo. Trump is a no nonsense ass kickerand talks a good game and gets people riled up. Americans are sick of being perceived as being pussies and they don't want the same old same old. His 6'3" frame will tower over Putin. Don't think these things don't matter.
Politicians and traditionalist hate him and will try to portray him as a clown and a side show. The average American, the ones who's life don't revolve around political issues, like him. Americans like the dark horse with some game and a bit of a chip on his shoulder never backing down from a fight.
I would not dismiss him so easily.
-
Pissed off a lot of potential Hispanic voters though who, by the way make me laugh with their outrage at his comments. Ask a lot of Hispanics how they feel about Blacks...big hypocrites.

Palin is supporting Trump now. FOX released her and the first thing she did was post her support of Trump.
I'm telling you, there is a HUGE pocket of repub voters that don't know who in the world mitch mcconnell is, don't know who ted cruz is, but hate obama and love them some trump. They want to be entertained, they don't remember trump was a liberal for 50 years that suddenly changed in 2007 when he realized he could be anti-obama for two terms then run for office on a populist platform (happened to be amnesty at the time) and maybe have a decent chance at winning.
FOX/Brietbart hate trump - and they have him polling in a statistical dead heat with Jeb. Trump is rich and crazy. In american politics, dangerous crazy people who give no fcks and bend politically often win.

What I will say about Trump is that he's really good at pointing out stuff and getting right to the heart of the matter without BS or a long preamble......

ive been saying that for months. he's a retired millionaire that admits he loves marijuana. nothing could be finer for him, than sleeping the days on the beach with a joint, enjoying life. he probably had tons of political pressure, legacy issue to fix Dubya, eyes of history, etc.
For jeb the person, running makes no sense. He doesn't have that fire in belly. He's just like hilary, it's expected, its their time, and eveyr person they've known for the past 40 years if telling them to run. Hilary looks like she doesn't want it either.
In 2008, obama and hilary both wanted it bad. in 2016, she doesnt look like it, no way.

She's waiting. No point pulling the big punches now. She's in money collection mode.
The repub race is interesting. Apparently Sheldon Aldelson is giving over $100 million to Scott Walker to run and the Kock brothers are giving a couple hundred million to Marco Rubio. Jeb won't stand a chance. Trump just wants the attention then you'll see commericials for the Apprentice in a few months.

GOP will cannibalize each other. it'll be a mess all the way to the convention. Everyone knows it's their only chance for 8 or even 12 years, and most will be balding/fat by then.
Hilary is like a part-time manager. She'll do an adequate job, but no fire and brimstone speeches, no insane passion. She's aged a ton. She can just 'do no harm' and win the nomination and maybe even the presidency. Sanders can make his points, but her money/infrastructure is unbeatable.

People who follow politics, social and culture issues and read books will agree with you. But you are in the minority. The masses didn't vote in Obama because of his foreign policy, economic or social issues. They had no idea what they are -- still.
They like Trump because they think he will be the one this time doing the bullying and having world leaders bowing to him.

I'm not sure Trump needs to spend hundreds of millions to get attention. He get more than enough attention and can get more for free if he wants to.
When money is no longer an issue it's now about power and legacy.

Scared? Haha. I like the guy. He's a side show but he knows how to make money, create jobs, tells it like it is and most of the time he's dead on. But like I said, he's better than ANYONE that the left has to offer. You're lib hack 240. Admit it.
how many times has he filed for bankruptcy?

I would not dismiss him so easily.

how many times has he filed for bankruptcy?
He never actually filed for personal bankruptcy, but several companies that were partly or entirely owned by him or that had his name on them did file BK.
I bought a few hundred shares of his casino in 2007 when they decided to put it on the auction block. Someone agreed to buy it, but Chairman Trump and the board turned the offer down because they believed it was worth more and the stock tanked. I sold out and lost a couple of grand before it fell below $10 (it had been in the mid teens when I bought it), and it eventually became worthless.

great post
I must agree. The Dems are now pretending to be far leftie loonie socialists and the Republicans are stumbling over their aged half limp Viagra dicks trying to me too me too "I'm for that". BOTH sides are in the pockets of the lobbyists and only pander to their own parties pretending to be different than each other....NOT. Both sides are the same limp dick turds in high school that were on the debating team and school paper....then went to fucking law school.
Lets try a man who is not beholding to any one. Someone with brass balls. The American people will love him in the debates...all 6'' 5" of him.

NBC just FIRED Donald, in the world of Lou Ferrgino i bet donald said "You take that Back!!"
Donald Trump has been fired from NBC because of his recent comments about Mexicans, but hey, business is business, so there's a catch.
NBC just said, "Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBC Universal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump."
The network says 'Miss USA' and 'Miss Universe' will no longer air on NBC.
As for "The Apprentice," the network notes Trump has already said he won't participate because of his presidential run.
BUT ... the network says, "Celebrity Apprentice" is a Mark Burnett production and "that relationship will continue." And guess who hosts that show? NBC did not say it would demand a different host.
As we said, business is business.

The main stream media and talking heads are all over this but the people love it.
The politicians and establishments continue to mock him and call him a clown and a side show. But they forget that the people, the majority of the people, don't like politicians and the establishment.
And they like Donald Trump.

Problem is that Trump is one of the big boys.
The more the MSM, politicians and the stuffy old establishment keep trying to discredit him and think it's all a big joke the more people will be drawn to him. People will never miss an opportunity to stick it to the smug, mealy mouth, status quo.

Politicians are only their puppets.
So what was in it for the Jews to appoint Obama?
And do the ones who actually run for president know that it doesn't matter what they do the election has already been decided before hand by the Jews?
-
So what was in it for the Jews to appoint Obama?
Bring through socialism, destroy the middle class (impoverish the American people), create more race division..
And do the ones who actually run for president know that it doesn't matter what they do the election has already been decided before hand by the Jews?
Pretty much. After all they understand the game better than anyone else..
-
Bring through socialism, destroy the middle class (impoverish the American people), create more race division..
And how do these help the Jewish people and/or the Jewish elite?
And why would they appoint pro capitalist like Bush and Reagan? The various Presidents seems to vary widely on their views regarding Jews and Israel. Obama is not supportive of the Jews and the Jewish State. Bush was. Reagan was. Nixon was. Why jump back and forth between such opposing ideologies?
Pretty much. After all they understand the game better than anyone else..
So why would they endure the incredible mind numbing expense and unimaginable and brutal rigors of a campaign when they know they are going to lose? I mean, someone like Mike Huckabee already ran and lost but got a nice lucrative TV deal where he can influence so many already with his political and cultural views? Why would he bother with such an arduous and mind numbingly expensive campaign when he knows it's fixed?

Politicians are only their puppets.
With the possible exception of Soros and maybe a few other leftist loons, that's not at all true these days.
If very many private CEO's actually controlled top politicians, you wouldn't see excessive regulations like Dodd-Frank, the highest corporate tax rate in the civilized world, and corporations getting fined billions for the actions of a few rogue employees.
The rich actually fear and loathe the government.

Trump is a few things which work for most republicans.
1) he hates obama, and has shit on him for the past 7 years.
2) he hates amnesty, and calls illegals bad names
3) he's interesting in a world of boring politics
4) he makes them think everyone can go from bankrupt to billionaire
5) he has a lot of liberal positions, just like many repubs do
He's absolutely perfect for the 2015 republican party, to be honest.

homosexuality?
63 percent of Americans now say gay or lesbian relations are "morally acceptable."

In the past, the country has been split pretty 50/50... or, 47/47 with the middle 6% deciding every election.
The fact that 60% of americans support gay marriage means a whole lot of repubs feel differently than the repub politicians. Even if 100% of dems support gay marriage, that means 20% of repubs have to support it too.

The repub party is split down the middle.
1/2 tea party = cruz, rand, they want to close the border, they want to spend less, and return to moral good ol' days
1/2 RINOs = jeb, romney, they want to open borders, they are cokeheads who sleep around, marry 5 times, and tell others how to live while gloating about their 'wild days' when they voted clinton/gore and had orgies.
The first group are the reagan repubs, the second are the bush repubs. And the reagan repubs didn't bother showing up for mccain or romney.

Raised taxes 7 out of 8 years.
Yes, though much went to defense. He wasn't interested in Nixon's policy of 'detente' with the Soviets; he was determined to hasten an economic collapse, which (depending on whose book you read) he helped accomplish. Came with a price tag, though.
Also supported the Brady Bill, which wasn't very Republican. And he gave amnesty to three million illegals.

1. Paved the way for Obamacare
Reagan-LPcoverCREDIT: WIKIMEDIA COMMONS
Reagan’s health policy previewed Obamacare in three major ways. First, Reagan signed Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), the law barring hospitals from turning away patients on grounds of their insurance or citizenship — a preview of Obamacare’s ban on insurance discrimination against individuals with preexisting conditions. Second, Reagan doubled the size of Medicaid over the course of his presidency to pay for all of those new uninsured patients — a huge Obamacare-style Medicaid expansion. Third, Reagan pushed something called Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs), which essentially had the government set the prices Medicare was willing to pay for each Medicare admission rather than pay for reimburse doctors per cost. DRGs cut Medicare costs by $49 billion by 1986, proving a promising trial for the sorts of Medicare payment reform policies you can find in Obamacare.
2. Amnesty for undocumented immigrants
Immigrant sailors being naturalized aboard the USS Ronald Reagan.Immigrant sailors being naturalized aboard the USS Ronald Reagan.CREDIT: WIKIMEDIA COMMONS
In 1986, Reagan signed the Simpson-Mazzoli Act, a bipartisan immigration reform bill that created a pathway to citizenship for 3 million undocumented immigrants. Simpson-Mazzoli is now referred to by some conservatives as the “Reagan amnesty,” and came up during both the 2007 and 2013 immigration reform debates.
3. Successfully pushed for an assault weapons ban
REAGAN LAW AND ORDER
Before the National Rifle Association became what it was today, Reagan worked with them to ban guns. Specifically, automatic weapons: civilians were legally allowed to own fully automatic rifles until 1986, when Reagan signed the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act banning them. After his Presidency, Reagan backed the Brady gun law establishing many of the major restrictions on gun purchases today. His support for the 1994 Assault Weapon Ban pushed the ban to its two vote margin of victory — according to two of the Congressmen who made the difference.
4. Grew the federal government, big time
obama-reagan-spendingCREDIT: EZRA KLEIN
Reagan’s record belies his reputation as a huge foe of government. Reagan built a progressive tax system to fund Social Security, and funded the creation of a new federal department (the Department of Veterans’ Affairs). Much of Reagan’s spending, including his defense buildup, was funded by deficit spending. If Obama spent like Reagan, the deficit would be much, much higher.
5. Dealt with Russia to build a world free of nuclear weapons
reagan gorbachev 2CREDIT: WIKIMEDIA COMMONS
Back when there was an actual Soviet Union, Reagan kicked off negotiations aimed at reducing the nuclear threat — negotiations that eventually morphed into the START treaty. In his memoir, Reagan wrote that “[m]y dream…became a world free of nuclear weapons.” After START expired in 2009, its replacement (NEW START) was ratified over the bitter objections of a majority of Senate Republicans.
6. Wanted to make millionaires pay more in taxes
Ronald_Reagan_and_Genera l_Electric_Theater_1954-62CREDIT: WIKIMEDIA COMMONS
Reagan despised tax loopholes that allowed millionaires to skate around their tax obligations. “Tax loopholes,” according to the Gipper, “sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy.” It’s crazy, he said, because the “truly wealthy” were avoiding “paying their fair share.”
7. Passed environmental regulations that are now being used to fight climate change

Ahh, that makes sense.
The myth has overtaken the truth so it only matters what they think Reagan is versus what he actually was and how he governed. You would think they would choose someone better, not that there is a lot to choose from that fit their idea of "Conservative". I am drawing a blank at the moment trying to think of someone who actually fits their idea "Conservative" match. Calvin Coolidge would be a better pick than Reagan any day of the week.

You're right, Ronnie needs his own mountain. Maybe one up by his old Santa Barbara ranch somewhere, though they really don't have anything big enough there. It really needs to be HUGE.
And I wouldn't put Polk in South Dakota, too far from the southern border. He needs to be somewhere closer to Mexico, staring down at them, reminding them how easy it would be for us to take the whole f'n enchilada.

Trump defends inflammatory comments, asks 'Who is doing the raping?'
Source: cnn
On Wednesday, Trump, who is a Republican presidential candidate, told Lemon he was pulling his facts from a Fusion article.
RELATED: Macy's dumps Donald Trump
"Well if you look at the statistics of people coming, you look at the statistics on rape, on crime, on everything coming in illegally into this country it's mind-boggling!" he told Lemon, in a clip previewed on CNN's "Situation Room."
"If you go to Fusion, you will see a story: About 80% of the women coming in, you know who owns Fusion? Univision! Go to Fusion and pick up the stories on rape. It's unbelievable when you look at what's going on. So all I'm doing is telling the truth," Trump said.
Lemon replied that the press stories are about women being raped, but not about criminals coming across the border.
"Well, somebody's doing the raping, Don! I mean somebody's doing it! Who's doing the raping? Who's doing the raping?" he asked

Seems odd that it gets voted down.
Of course there are some subtleties in these positions. I believe people can do whatever they want as long as they don't present a clear danger to others nor hurt or infringe on the rights of others. I don't have a problem with gay or same sex people getting married or living however they want. I remember a friend of mine showing me his invitation to Bob Paris' wedding. Didn't bother me.
What I am against is when others, such as the same sex marriage crowd, demand and require that others recognize, accept and even honor their life style. They want special rights. They want to change the law to accommodate them. Now if society decides they do want to change the law then so be it. It shouldn't be left to five unelected Judges to decided for the rest us. The powers of the Federal Government as stated in the Constitution is very limited and clearly defined. The rest is left up to the States and the People.
Look, for all practical purposes, Hugh Hefner lived his life as a Polygamous. But nobody gave a crap as he didn't impose his life style of others. He just did his thing and didn't bother anybody.
Again I want to be clear: People who support same sex marriage want special rights and not equal rights. They obfuscate the issue by calling it Gay Marriage. Gays have the same rights as everybody else to marry. As Arnold once said when he first ran for governor: "I support Gay marriage as long as it's between a man and a woman."
That's why I doubt that Gallop Poll. It doesn't take into account the subtleties of the issue. I think people get confused. I think the majority don't oppose and accept Gay relationships as oppose to supporting it. This matters. For example if I had a choice if my son would be born gay or straight I wouldn't just toss a coin. I would want my son to be straight. But if he wasn't I would accept that fact. But I won't lie to myself and say it doesn't matter that when he goes out on his first date it's hand and hand with a girl or hand and hand with a boy.
Not being opposed, or even supporting, Gay relationships is quite different from passing a law that requires, under Government coercion; to support, honor and endorse it.

I just want the federal government to protect us from foreign invaders, protect our interests abroad, maybe lend a hand in the odd emergency when asked, let me keep half my money, and otherwise be silent and invisible.
Trump is fucking nuts! ;D

He never said he didn't do business with China or Mexico, and it's a good reason why... ::)
However, since he feels obligated to live up to his principles in this presidential matter, he has now cut off business deals with both China and Mexico. You should check out his updates on Facebook.

Seems odd that it gets voted down.
many states require the 60% cutoff mandate for passing issues like pot legalization, gay marriage, etc. A win of 50.1% isn't enough.
And like I said, in 34 states, or over 2/3 of US states, some form of same sex union had been legalized, so the numbers line up a bit.

Scared? Haha. I like the guy. He's a side show but he knows how to make money, create jobs, tells it like it is and most of the time he's dead on. But like I said, he's better than ANYONE that the left has to offer. You're lib hack 240. Admit it.
HE's a sideshow? But isn't he DOUBLING Jeb in New hampshire?
Have you changed your 'sideshow' opinion?

Trump is the ONLY qualified candidate. He speak honestly and knows how to get things done.
If we elect Trump we can undo some of the horrible mistakes made over the last 27 years...
Sadly - there is a huge group in this country that does NOT want America to dominate the world again.
The world is safer with the United States in power. That's not to say that there are not plenty of other great countries. Some that I would gladly live in and that are superior in ways.

I agree with you that the world is a much safer place with the United States in power and shaping the rules of the world....imagine if china or Russia were running the world...there would be chaos....the problem is, the world doesn't see it that way and try to undermine the U.S. in any way they can...but then come crying when they need our help

The thought of that ol' bag Hillary running the country...is almost more scary than Obama. If I see a woman is managing a store I shop in, I'll usually go some where else. Women have their good qualities, but...leading isn't one. Oh, driving isn't one either. Or math.
Trump is entertaining, but his over emphasis on Mexico and the border is quite redundant. The statistics are not there, though I saw another story in the media about an illegal immigrant committing another murder. Must be an epidemic...if the media told me so. ::). Just like they pump up the races baiting stories...this will be the new one. A few stories talked about over and over and over

On July 26, Trump said most of the current illegals can stay. Some kind of 'merit' system to those who ONLY broke laws against illegal entry and didn't rape anyone.
so he's just like the rest of them on amnesty, the base that suddenly loves this lifetime liberal is just too stupid to realize it.

woah woah woah - You agree with everything he said about LETTING MOST OF THE ILLEGALS STAY IN THE USA?
Cause he pissed off a lot of people with that. Do you agree with him there?

7 years into Obama and I am sick and tired of the Black sympathy. Imagine 4-8 of Hillary and feminism being shoved down our throats. If she is pres in 8 years we'll all be getting fucked with a big black dildo by our wives/girlfriends and mistresses.

Coach - THIS is why I call trump a liberal plant. He's a clinton-loving fool until 2010, when he magically changes position and starts jumping on the tea party bandwagon.
Repubs are in love with this guy...... but he is pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-amnesty, pro-universal health care, and he's against the death penalty. The guy is practically a democrat, let's be honest.
So... to be clear... he trashes Obama and hypes an announcement to get ratings for his show, and many of you are ready to hand him the White House keys over lifetime conservatives. His own personal silliness aside - let's look at where he stands on the issues.
Donald Trump on Abortion
Pro-choice, but ban partial birth abortion. (Jul 2000)
Favors abortion rights bur respects opposition. (Dec 1999)
Donald Trump on Budget & Economy
One-time 14.25% tax on wealth, to erase national debt. (Nov 1999)
Donald Trump on Civil Rights
Tolerate diversity; prosecute hate crimes against gays. (Jul 2000)
Donald Trump on Crime
Capital punishment isn’t uncivilized; murderers living is. (Jul 2000)
Donald Trump on Gun Control
SUPPORTS assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check. (Jul 2000)
Donald Trump on Health Care
We must have universal health care. (Jul 2000)
Donald Trump on Immigration
Limit new immigration; focus on people already here. (Dec 1999)

Do you STILL agree with everything he says, even after he went on MSNBC to declare war on fox, and talk about megyn kelly's period?
OR
do you agree with 240 that trump is a fcking liberal? Cause ANYONE ELSE in this world goes on msnbc and talks that much shit about FOX, and you're calling them a worthless lib, ANYONE.
Do you now disown your new affection for trump, for insulting a TV channel?

Getbig repubs won't say anything nice OR mean about trump. They don't know what to think.
Six months later. Most getbig repubs are scared to support trump, scared to support him. Even thuogh he's in bed with MSNBC.
Today, MSNBC's Lawrence ODonnell received a $10,000 check from Donald Trump. Hand delivered from his campaign. It's for ODonnell's favorite charity. He announced it on the air. ODeonnell was supposed to 'pass it on to his favorite charity'.
ODD TIMING. Over the years, Trump has shit all over ODonnell, called him dumb, idiot, says he has a face for radio. Threatened to sue him.
ODonnell is refusing the check. He is returning it to Trump. He cannot accept a check from a presidential candidate, even if it's for Odonnell's favorite charity.
BUT look what happens... ODonnell has on a guest who shits all over Cruz. Trump quotes that guest AND the MSNBC show. Then Trump mails a check for ten grand to Lawrence ODonnell.
You cannot make this shit up lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are ANY OF YOU still claiming Trump ain't in bed with the liberal media? BWAHAHAHA

Yes, Daddy.
Sorry, but the "far left" article said most who vote authoritarianism are dems, and it also says trump has a damn good chance of winning the general election because of this. So much for blaming the left. It's actually a good article that makes sense... Leadership beats out political positions for many. It also explains why hes's doing well with independents and most importantly for the nomination - EVANGELICALS. Religious people are HUGE authoritarian, but so are many with families and many struggling, regardless of party.
This article does explain why trump has such crossover appeal despite his polarizing and often cruel staetements. People respect strength because they respect strong leaders.
The One Weird Trait That Predicts Whether You’re a Trump Supporter
I asked you what most defines Donald Trump supporters, what would you say? They’re white? They’re poor? They’re uneducated?
You’d be wrong.
In fact, I’ve found a single statistically significant variable predicts whether a voter supports Trump—and it’s not race, income or education levels: It’s authoritarianism.
That’s right, Trump’s electoral strength—and his staying power—have been buoyed, above all, by Americans with authoritarian inclinations. And because of the prevalence of authoritarians in the American electorate, among Democrats as well as Republicans, it’s very possible that Trump’s fan base will continue to grow.
My finding is the result of a national poll I conducted in the last five days of December under the auspices of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, sampling 1,800 registered voters across the country and the political spectrum. Running a standard statistical analysis, I found that education, income, gender, age, ideology and religiosity had no significant bearing on a Republican voter’s preferred candidate. Only two of the variables I looked at were statistically significant: authoritarianism, followed by fear of terrorism, though the former was far more significant than the latter.
Authoritarianism is not a new, untested concept in the American electorate. Since the rise of Nazi Germany, it has been one of the most widely studied ideas in social science. While its causes are still debated, the political behavior of authoritarians is not. Authoritarians obey. They rally to and follow strong leaders. And they respond aggressively to outsiders, especially when they feel threatened. From pledging to “make America great again” by building a wall on the border to promising to close mosques and ban Muslims from visiting the United States, Trump is playing directly to authoritarian inclinations.
Not all authoritarians are Republicans by any means; in national surveys since 1992, many authoritarians have also self-identified as independents and Democrats. And in the 2008 Democratic primary, the political scientist Marc Hetherington found that authoritarianism mattered more than income, ideology, gender, age and education in predicting whether voters preferred Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama. But Hetherington has also found, based on 14 years of polling, that authoritarians have steadily moved from the Democratic to the Republican Party over time. He hypothesizes that the trend began decades ago, as Democrats embraced civil rights, gay rights, employment protections and other political positions valuing freedom and equality. In my poll results, authoritarianism was not a statistically significant factor in the Democratic primary race, at least not so far, but it does appear to be playing an important role on the Republican side. Indeed, 49 percent of likely Republican primary voters I surveyed score in the top quarter of the authoritarian scale—more than twice as many as Democratic voters.
Political pollsters have missed this key component of Trump’s support because they simply don’t include questions about authoritarianism in their polls. In addition to the typical battery of demographic, horse race, thermometer-scale and policy questions, my poll asked a set of four simple survey questions that political scientists have employed since 1992 to measure inclination toward authoritarianism. These questions pertain to child-rearing: whether it is more important for the voter to have a child who is respectful or independent; obedient or self-reliant; well-behaved or considerate; and well-mannered or curious. Respondents who pick the first option in each of these questions are strongly authoritarian.
Based on these questions, Trump was the only candidate—Republican or Democrat—whose support among authoritarians was statistically significant.
So what does this mean for the election? It doesn’t just help us understand what motivates Trump’s backers—it suggests that his support isn’t capped. In a statistical analysis of the polling results, I found that Trump has already captured 43 percent of Republican primary voters who are strong authoritarians, and 37 percent of Republican authoritarians overall. A majority of Republican authoritarians in my poll also strongly supported Trump’s proposals to deport 11 million illegal immigrants, prohibit Muslims from entering the United States, shutter mosques and establish a nationwide database that track Muslims.
And in a general election, Trump’s strongman rhetoric will surely appeal to some of the 39 percent of independents in my poll who identify as authoritarians and the 17 percent of self-identified Democrats who are strong authoritarians.

TRUMP: I Will 'Probably' Sue Because Ted Cruz Cheated In Iowa
After accusing Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) of "illegally" stealing a win from the Iowa caucuses, Donald Trump said Wednesday that he'll "probably" sue over the results of the vote.
Trump said this in an interview on Boston Herald Radio, that was flagged by BuzzFeed.
When asked if he would file a formal complaint over the caucuses' results, Trump replied, "probably."
"What did is unthinkable," Trump said, later stating that Cruz was a "really fraudulent" character.
Earlier in the day, Trump fired off a raging tweetstorm accusing Cruz of cheating in Iowa. Trump even suggested the Republican Party take the unprecedented step of holding a do-over election in Iowa or nullifying Cruz's results.

Trump's involvement in the clothing line amounts to signing a licensing agreement for the use of his name. He does not have anything to do with where the clothes he endorses are made.

I am not happy with Cruz in Iowa. First their was that "Voting Violation" notice sent out. And now spreading the rumor that Carson was dropping out after Iowa and to support him which makes sense as I think Carson supporters would tend to go to Cruz or Rubio and not Trump because of the religious angle.
It reminds me of how Gore was prematurely declared the winner in Florida causing the voters, many from the conservative Pan Handle.
This has an air of shadiness about Cruz. I'm still with Cruz but he's moved down a notch and Rubio moved up a notch.
