Perhaps Froome had the same "medical support" as Armstrong?

If they had one more day in the alps Quintana would have won. Froome seems like a much nicer person than Lance.

When I look in the mirror, that's what I see. Bodybuilding is a disease.

Correct. It's like comparing Ben Johnson to a Kenyan marathon runner.

Good tour this year.
Quintana Had a poor 1st wk & caught up really well on the mountain stages.
Yes one more day in the mountains & he likely would of won.
These are all Clean Drug Free Cyclists.. I Think Not.
Any one With Cycling Knowledge Care to Say What they are Using.

Just regular gear that clears the system quick with a night time administration. Turns out that all "random" drug tests happen in the late morning to mid afternoon.

One of the most horrid positions on the bike for a GC rider since Escartin and Mancebo. Setting that aside, a wonderful Kenyan rider.

Quintana is a wonderful climber. He's not even in his prime.
If Lance placed second in 7 Tours and was even MORE of an asshole, he would not have been targeted as a doper. He had to go and win 7, and then try to win some more.

Some version of EPO that does not contain the genetic marker. Absolutely blood boasting. Low dose test.
-
Clearly the UK sky team have got on to something in the last 5yrs
As prior to brailsford taking charge UK team were not a threat.
Now we have won 3 out of last 5 tours.
Yes I presume it's all very fast acting gear & GH plus some kind of epo
Boosting. I see some talk of a inhaler with a type of gas to improve epo
Clearly cutting edge tech drugs.
-
GH, test, EPO. All in frequent, micro doses

what is blood boasting?
also don't they check hematocrit and hemoglobin levels for signs of EPO use...

Google for these terms:
- EPO
- VO2max
- Lactate threshold
I don't know much about the testing.

Hi BR
Blood boosting goes back many years. Quite simple actually. Withdraw one pint of your blood. Refrigerate that blood. Then on race morning take a transfusion of that blood. You will have an extra pint of blood and therefore more oxygen carrying red blood cells. You'll feel phenomenon. Your body will metabolise that inbalance in a matter of hours so you must do it again. Or-
-withdraw the same pint of blood. Place it in a centrifuge. Separate the all important red blood cells and then take the transfusion but only use the RBC and a very small amount of blood. All they want is the RBC.
Obviously method two takes more planning and equipment, but it's still very easy. All the blood withdraws will have taken place in the weeks leading up to the race.
Remember, when we have oxygen available to burn as fuel there's no byproduct. When we use glycogen as fuel we have that pesky lactic acid as a byproduct. Lactic acid is the devil for pro cyclist.
-
I heard of them training at high altitude then freezing the blood and reintroducing it.
Why are bodybuilders worried about high hematocrit and hemoglobin yet these cyclists are purposely creating high levels! Wouldn't there blood tests reveal these markers being too high, I read the doping organizations have limits above which they will penalize riders.
Cyclists still need a big amount of glycogen...

blood boasting is bragging about blood doping

I'm old enough to remember Lasse Viren the Finnish long distance runner & a lot of talk regarding his Blood packing / boosting & this is back in the mid 70s.
It must be very effective for it to still be in favour.
The techniques have probably been refined a lot now.
All interesting stuff.
