that 1st shot was in his chest. the 2nd seem to be in his face. look at his back. the bullet appears to have gone through.

Why is everyone on YouTube saying that he was shot by the feds? he quite clearly wasn't. It's like everyone just wants that to be the case or something.
The first round missed his head, the second one looks to have penetrated his heart. He was bleeding out and dying on his feet before the cops even opened fire on the gunman.
At least one round struck him from la policia. You can see him flinch as it hits him in the chest once they start blasting the perp.

He already took a round to the chest and was dead anyway though, but i don't see the feds rounds hitting him...potentially took one in the arm, judging by the angle, but when you watch it on slowmo, it looks more like he flinched in reaction to the gunman getting blasted. Might have took a round, but he was a dead man walking anyway.

Some basic krav maga and hand to hand combat training would have saved the homeless mans life.
The hostage taker was a fully pledged pussy.
I would have destroyed him even with his gun.
Never attack gun man unless you are fully able to control his hand with the gun.
Just basics.
I would always take his back in those situations and had proper wrist control while pointing the gun away from myself.
Rear naked choke and he goes to sleep nice and easy.

Last time I visited Brazil there were 26 murders/night in Sao Paolo (population about 20 million) and loads of videos on news of cops shooting people recorded on phones. Not a violent society just massive inequality - 4m middle class and rich people so why cater to the rest of city? Avenida Paolista rivals 5th avenue and oxford street for opulence - 4k/night hotel rooms etc. 5 mins away you have kids with no shoes or t shirts trying to fleece you and you have to have your wits about you if you exchange money. With that discrepancy what do you expect?

Looks like he got VERY lucky by somehow dodging those bullets shot at his head at point blank range and then got VERY unlucky when the perp ducked and he took a sniper shot to the heart. He winced in pain but didn't seem to notice as it probably went right through him and he felt a sharp pain and then had trouble catching his breath. He got the elevator and the shaft in one shift.
