This winter
-
looks less punchable than normal, nice.
-
They absolutely hate giving this guy and Oscar
-
man in the wilderness remake given a different title...
-
Stupid shit
-
Great movie, great story, great actor, great face that has become less punchable over the years.
-
Leo and Hardy together! this looks like one heck of a movie especially with Inatritu at the helm.
oh and bb related coz Tom Hardy is jacked.

Looks very, very good. You have my interest.
-
Leonardo is a great actor.
-
Leonardo is a great actor.
He used method acting to prepare for the bathroom stall scenes in Basketball Diaries.
-
I saw the Revenant today. It was very good.
A blend between Dances with Wolves, True Grit, and The Grey...... But the theme was revenge.
-
Bear attack scene was done insanely well.
-
Revenant= One who returns unexpectedly from a long absence, or from what most thought was death.
-
Mix between dances with wolves and death hunt and it's worth it for the bear scene alone actually felt scared for him.
-
Straightforward movie with nothing really clever or unique.
Beautifully shot, gorgeous scenery, but the story is nothing we haven't seen before.
I don't get the hype.
Taken was a formula that didn't stray but was flawless. This one, nothing special in my opinion. Not a bad movie to watch but not Oscar worthy.

cool star wars review grape, but have you seen the revenant?
:D

Every movie Leo was in all I see is him and the role he's trying to play. Never convinces that's he someone else.

How do you know "him"? I'd assume you would have to know him to make this comment,no?

Acting. Oh, brother.
(People think someone's a good/great actor when he likes the performer or/and digs the character. Simple as that.)
This movie looks good. Hardy's cool and plays awesome characters ("He's a great actor!").
P.S. Does the bear dude whip Leo around like a rag doll? Chew on his face a bit? Love that shit.

Sure the Bear wasn't CGI and this guy on top of him?

It was filmed using only natural light.
Decent movie. Better than 99% of the garbage hollywood produces.

Sometimes i think too many Movies now are just too full of special effects and technical bollocks. Good to get back to Basic Acting.

You missed my point. A good actor is supposed to convince you that they are someone else. Like when he play Howard Hughes, I didn't see Howard Hughes but Leo trying to be him. He seems the same in every movie. His range is the same except he puts on good makeup to try to look like the role.

He's a great actor, Blood Diamond/Gangs of New York were top films and showed him as a serious actor!

I liked him in that Film .. Catch me if you can..

man in the wilderness remake given a different title...
That`s what I was thinking when I first saw the previews.
The preview alone looked far better than the original though.
-
I think it's rather slow, the movie
Leo is great

I have to disagree. Explain this in the context of say 'what's eating Gilbert grape' and 'wolf of Wall Street', and the lack of "range".
-
Leo has a dad bod.... I rest my case.
-
It's really very difficult to really appreciate an actor's performance on screen unless you know that actor personally.
I know or have watched various actors 'perform' in a scene and am always impressed to watch that individual 'become someone else entirely".
It's sort of like "magic" and almost impossible to do by most people.
I always thought that John Wayne was always John Wayne in all his movies until I saw him perform as Rooster Coburn in one of his late films which was the only time I ever watched him do that magic act.

In general I did not like The Revenant because it was too damn depressing and death comes more easily when you are freezing and knee deep in ice water.
But that bear scene was spectacular and the initial fight with the Indians was exceptionally shot.
And Leonardo did a great job ... but the ending left a lot to desire.
Did he die or just keep on walking?

Nailed it.

Watched them both and it was just Leo acting and not convincing me of his role.
-
This winter
I hope Leonardo gets raped by a bear, pretentious twat.
-
Question is, Leonardo DiCapriciossa: The Revenue
-
His best role. Epic movie. Nicholson is also brilliant.
-
It was filmed using only natural light.
Decent movie. Better than 99% of the garbage hollywood produces.
Word.
-
Assuming there's some CGI, perhaps, in the bear attack? If so, that shit was perfectly seamless. Sparce (as it should be), but about the best I've ever seen.
Also, recall thinking Hardy's character seemed kinda familiar, just couldn't quite nail it down. Then I heard he'd studied Barnes (Tom Berringer) from Platoon for inspiration.
KNEW it.
-
leo said in a interview it was the hardest movie he ever made, said he was freezing pretty much the whole shoot.
i read on wikipedia the movie took way longer to make than anticipated and whent over budget as well.
-
Leonardo is a great actor.
My celebrity crush
-
Leo has a dad bod.... I rest my case.
At least he is not obese or has breasts.
-
Leonardo is a great actor.
Shutter Island.
Unbeatable.
-
They absolutely hate giving this guy and Oscar
However he still doesn't deserve it wit the competition he has this year.
WoooSHHHHHH
-
Incorrect.
A good actor is supposed to convince you he is Leonardo DiCapriciossa, even if he isn't.
-
Decent move, plot was overly simplistic.. I wanted to know more about his son and that back story
that Bear scene was epic
-

What move was it that was decent? The one where his is moving his arm upwards and aiming a rifle?
Or do you mean his move from Pennsylvania to South Dakota?
-
No way that mother fucker could of survived that entire ordeal

this movie just dragggggggggggs.

Incorrect.

It's truly a riveting movie though.

Watched it on a plane. Fell asleep twice and had to restart. It's a beautiful movie to watch visually but it's incredibly ridiculous. Like Rambo on crack. Get's mauled by a bear, breaks bones, starves, freezes, buried alive, probably got shot i don't remember, manages to not get infected despite being thoroughly lacerated and left out in the elements. Wins a fist fight after being stabbed multiple times. Plot lines include gore and hopelessness.
-
I thought it declined after the bear attack, very long drawn out

And he broke up a rape, fell off of a cliff, and he spent the night inside his horses eviscerated body
