Look for Tara Scotti on Comedy Central in the near future. She got the nod today over 150 other models. Tara will be featured in a skit, shooting takes place this Saturday and will have more details then. Props to Ms. Scotti for another appearance outside of the fitness world.

How quickly we succumb to sticking the dagger into and flinging insults at the successful competitors in this industry in order to cover up our own insecurities and envious natures. How quickly we turn on our own when they reach the top and achieve the things we secretly desire.
What I find even more amusing is the fact that the insults originate mostly from men who have yet to display their bodies or faces. It's an interesting phenomenon...the behavior of the men on this board. Y'all are cattier than girls. Shame, shame.
We should be applauding Tara for bringing a little bit of the bodybuilding industry into the mainstream world and representing us well. I'm positive she'll come across with grace and intelligence.

Comments on her facial looks are out of place of course, since it's a physique culture we're in. As long as there are no facial changes, what's going on with the face has no relevance IMO.
But comments on how Tara Scotti's physique looks, are part of the game, as long as she is part of the physique culture. How could you NOT agree on something like that?
If the gut/tummy/stomach/abs/midsection or whatever, on a male athlete is hanging out, he will be called on it. Why shouldn't a female?
It's a shame that the critisism tends to turn into bashing sessions with keyboard warriors who seems to think it's all about creating the funniest insult/lowest blow.
Because crap like that gives the Pro's the opportunity to dodge the difficult questions, and rather engage in bashings, which are easy to handle.

I am not trying out to be on every reality type show, or take meaningless jobs. Fear Factor was for a possible Million. I don't know what tax bracket some of you guys are in to pass that up. But I can't say no to that. Unfortunately I am not a good swimmer and I came up short ( ok ok, I almost drowned )
The Comedy Central thing isn't huge by any means. But the people who asked me to do it have their hand in a lot of other cool projects. Maybe something else can come of it. I am a realist, I am not 18 year old acting student trying to become the next superstar. I am a 30+ fitness girl. I don't have any high hopes of being a star. I am only working with what I got, just trying to have a little fun.....Bare with me........

Posts get deleted because some people get a joy in tearing people down without offering any criticism, and truly don't care about the accomplishments of someone no matter what they do. Tara is getting on another television show because she tries. Hundreds of other people always ask how can they get attention or much needed publicity (men or women included), and they don't go anywhere. Publicity is important, and recognition is cool.
Some of you need to learn to praise, and not just complain on every post. Learn to help the industry, to support people who push hard to get somewhere, to strive for accomplishment.
Maybe you need some grammar lessons from a former English teacher.

I agree. Women come on this board knowing full well to expect a range of comments and opinions. Then, when one negative comment is uttered, they break down. Women are just emotionally weak and can't handle the truth.
It happens all the time with the guys, but they have the ability to shrug it off, instead of running to the mods.

I totally realize all the above. I call this my "15 minutes of fame" and have actually started giving a name to each "minute" (each publication or opportunity) because I've only got MAYBE 2 or 3 more years of this and that's that. So I'm just riding the wave and being VERY appreciative of it all because much of it is good genetics, a twist of fate or good luck, and ofcourse the rest is hard work. I also realize this is TnA work, it's just business, and it's not personal or a reflection of my intellect. With that, I'm working it, playing it up, and milking it for alllllllllll it's worth!!!! Here to have fun so YOU have fun too!

I was wrong about Monica, she was 90's. Linda was on a comeback last year. Rachel is on the cover of Ironman this month. Then I thought of Corey Everson....and really she's only talked about as a "legend" like she's dead or something, and she's not. And these are only 4 names among how many thousand? So yeah, 15 minutes of fame indeed.

Hey Nicole quick question have the schomes paid off those implants for you yet?
Unfortunately no. Haven't had any paying gigs yet, unless I was the one paying. Yeah, that's what I said...."so I pay you $300-500 for a shoot then you turn around and sell my pics on the net for monthly membership fees....uh, I'll pass." But I got a big break in the industry working the Arnold and the offers for paying gigs doing trade shows and shoots are starting to come in. I did a good job of marketing and networking and I'm really proud of myself for doing some good work. It's not all fun unless you only want to burn money and not make it.
Got an offer to work the Magic Trade Show in Vegas at the end of August for a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money. And if this gig is for real it actually WOULD pay off the implants (much to my boyfriend's delight).
