fructose
it has the highest sweetness
doesnt raise insulin\bloodsugar
does not turn to glycogen for use by muscles and fructose is not used by the brain
when eaten it goes straight to the liver like alcohol wich could be bad if liver isnt flushed
fructose does not effect leptin
now glucose like from a potato
increases insulin\blood sugar
80 percent goes to muscle and brain for immediate use, 20 % goes to liver
glucose raises leptin wich makes you feel. good and ,leptin has other benefits
glucagon gets turned on wen blood sugars\insulin is low . it is a fat burning hormone, apparantly another route to aim for than traditional calorie cutting
i see fructose as a brilliant way to lose fat its sweet and doesnt effect bloodsugars
as u see i laid out the pros and cons , u can devise a clever approach
just remember everygram of fructose goes to your liver like every gram of alcohol

let me stress a point
hfcs is bad its 50 percent fructose 50 glucose
u dont want to jack up fructose level in your liver at the same time jack up bloodsugar levels with hfcs
this serves no benefit other than taste
you want to experiment with fructose by itself ,protien is ok
fructose is not hfcs ( high fructose corn syrup)
hfcs is a bad mixture

interestingly, everyone says fruit is healthy, but the fructose/glucose proportion in many fruits is close to 50/50.
only a small number of fruits have significantly more fructose than glucose.

Yes this is what I said, fructose uses the glut 5 transporter(glut 2 at times, and in enterocytes (gut cells). It would depend on what pathway the fructose goes through (not doing any reading here), if synthesized de novo I believe it is preferentially converted to fatty acids and triglycerides, if frucolysis is involved (dietary intake) it would preferentially go down the glucogenic pathway.

what you talk of seems dose dependent and in what forms - +fiber? for example, 1 apple vs 3cups grapes, 12bananas vs 3kiwis, pineapple vs watermelon
