How dared she?
-
You don't irritate Alpha just like that. His minute is worth a million bucks at the very least and he came to talk about fitness, dumb bitch.
-
yea, she pushed it once asking about the mildred scandal

He must get sick of doing shit interviews after so many years in the spotlight and politics...
-
Okay Arnie....way to keep your cool....I'm sure he will be back.... later to father her children....you can see it in his eyes....he is gonna give it to her good for stepping out of line.

"Health and fitness"
:D
His expos/etc. are ground zero for melting livers and severe mental illness.
-
She knew ahead of time what was OK to ask she thought she could charm him into answering her.

Arnold has spoken out against the physiques for years. His name is all they use and it's clear he has no say in the actual running of the IFBB.

If Arnold had his way, he'd probably have Flex Wheeler cloned and have said clone replicate the 1993 form of Flex.

She's a journalist. She took a stab asking an "off limits" question. Good for her.
That he bailed is of no concern.
That a one-time US governor would be asked about a presidential candidate is fair play.
Fuck this you-can't-ask-this crap.
If Arnie didn't wanna answer, just say "no comment".
-
Apparently her time slot was up and her drifting question just sealed it going any further. I think one of his people prompted from the side that time was up.
-
since Arnold was twenty he controlled all interviews after being embarrassed. he gives very specific lists of what to and not to talk about.
he gives the interviewer time when he is in Australia for a Arnold Classic weekend. I am sure he is pretty busy while he's there. complete disrespect by the interviewer.

When was he embarrassed? What happened?

Well , that was stupid of me

I don't remember exactly. the reporter took what he said out of context and made it seem that he was saying something else. details are sketchy :D
-
Yea very busy, I saw he had a few different interviews with different stations. Plus he spends all that time doing different stuff at the classic.

Both Arnold and Tyson are Bosses.

Good for Arnold to walk out on her.
As with most interviews, Arnold's publicist and agent would typically get a transcript with the questions that will be asked in order for Arnold to review and get ready with answers (answers which are usually prepared by his team of PR staff). For this "journalist" to assume that she can go off script in order to better her career and seem as if she got some juicy news/gossip is downright bullshit.
Arnold's political past and relationships with candidates is none of her fucking business. Good for him to walk off and I hope she gets fired.

Qft.
People outside the bodybuilding bubble (Mainstream) saw Arnold as a former republican governor acting cowardly for leaving the interview for such a fair question (not saying he should have talked about politics) but he could have handled himself better.
WoooSHHHHHHHH el Chapo

How dared she?
Arnold's bodyguards Wiggs and Kwon_2 violently dick slapped her after she embarassed Arnie like that! :-[

Actually, no.
He's no longer governor. He has a right to control his public image. He has the right to contract with journalist and reporters whom he gives them his time.
Your logic to this topic if flawed beyond belief. Arnold is his own man and he controls the interview if he wants.
She is is dumb girl that will likely be branded now for not being able to keep her end of the bargain - only talking about topics that were agreed upon ahead of time. She wasted everyone's time in this interview.
-
she puckered up her lips like a butthole, she knew at that moment, Arnold just assfucked her on the interview

Reminds me of the paki that tried to bring up Robert Downey Jr's drug past after he interviewed him for avengers 2

I wholeheartedly disagree.
Without the media, at this point, Arnie would only hold interest to those few bodybuilding obsessos who want to slurp his pole.
Without media, Arnold would have likely amounted to a muscle footnote.
A prepped interview is lame. Processed.
He has every right to not answer a question. But to walk off is weak.
-
-
I cannot disagree with your two points in this thread
-
hahaha Arnold handled that bitch
thinks she's a good journalist for asking "tough" questions.. unprofessional more like it...
-

Arnold needs the media? Arnold was in over 30 movies. He is known worldwide. He can do without.
A prepped interview is lame? If you honestly think the majority of interviews are not rehearsed you must be very gullible. Even Larry King went over with his guests the general variety of questions to be asked. You think soundbites are just made sporadically? Lmao.
Weak? Not abiding by a contractual agreement discussed before the interview is weak. Better yet telling Arnold's managers that the interview would be about health and fitness and using false pretenses to arrange an interview because you're a weak and ill known journalist is weak. Maybe if the interview was conducted by a top tier journalist walking off would not be a correct move but she is not a well-known and just cost her production company money by not following the contract and wasted his time.
It's shit stains in this country that don't know how to abide by contractual obligations that make it weak.
-
Well , that was stupid of me
I get the feeling he still throat fucked her later that night.

I understand your point as a journalist. but Arnold will not enter an interview without presenting the interviewer with a list of questions that are ok, and a list of questions that are off limits. whether that is cheezy or not, he will not take an interview without that agreement and understanding. in other words, she agreed not to talk politics, and did it anyway.
-

.
Arnold has been flopping terribly for the past 5 movies .... and is practically none existent for the 18 to 34 audience (movie goers) people are not aware of "the Arnold classic" and do not give a shit about it, so far in 2016, his most notorious appearance "In the media" is this clip running away from a Donald Trump question ..... lol. think about it .
WoooSHHHHHHHHH

It's because Trump hates Mexicans. Arnold likes Mexicans. A lot. Except ones that are related to him.
-
Integrity it's called, to walk away. To sit and say "no comment" doesn't make you look good at all. That's why he controls the interview.
-

This is exactly it.
I've seen past videos of Arnold and he's done this exact same thing. Like when he was at a movie promotion and they want to basically grief him on past political things. As far as I know he doesn't avoid issues (ala private email servers) but he just keeps business and politics separate. The journalists know this.
She made the call and hopefully for her she weighed the risks.
-
Its been reported the channel are pissed with her, she had 5 mins and asked 2 questions that weren't appropriate to the theme of the interview. The interview had already run over when she played the trump card and Arnold's guy signaled it was over. She basically ended it, if she'd stayed on track it might have run a bit longer.
This is exactly it.

Lol ... you control the interview when you say "no comments" but end up talking, PROMOTING the Arnold classic fitness etc etc and everything you went there to talk about ..... to walk away is a waste of time ...
WoooSHHHHH

I'm sure it's not Arnold's first rodeo.
He's been getting interviewed professionaly for longer than FLEX magazine has been lying to teenage boys. But you go ahead and tell Arnie how to manage publicity!
-
She has the duty as a journalist to push, and he has the right to walk out if he doesn't feel he is comfortable with the interview. This worked out as it should. I understand that Arnold doesn't want to talk politics, but where would journalism be if journalists weren't willing to push things? That was a pretty softball question too.
-
The broad took a swing at Arnold and "The Oak" got into a tizzy and limped off.
He didn't show much stoicism in the face of an unrehearsed question.
P.S. To the dope who suggests I don't know how interviews work, guess what? I've interviewed Arnold. Suck my wang.

But how can you make that assumption?
Arnold has to do a lot of publicity interviews and no doubt it's a fair question but these things are presumably hashed out beforehand so he knows what kind of interview it is.
It's like, if every time Jay Cutler was interviewed on ESPN they talk about his training, his diet, but then they always snuck in some bullshit about "what was your stack bro?"
Who cares if it's a good question or not, both parties agreed to something mutually beneficial and one party takes advantage of it.

He's doing interviews for his benefit. She's conducting an interview for hers.
Fair game.
He looked like an emotional child taking his football home with him.

Even though these things are hashed out beforehand, I think most in the media understand that there might be a snuck in question here and there. It's somewhat of an unwritten thing. The media can try to get them in, but the interviewee or their press agents can punish them by ending the interview or banning their people from appearing on the platform.

sadly since he was governor to this date ,not many important media oulets /interviewers are after him, All you see from Arnold in the past few years is his movies flopping in theaters , his Guatemalan son, and now him running away from a Donald Trump question ..... No need to tell him what's going on with his current "public image" ...I'm sure he has a tv. lol

Not really, more people saw this than would have if she would have interviewed him. Now more people know what the Arnold Classic is than ever, not that it matters. :(
-
Jessie Ventura would have answered the question.
-
Arnold is jealous because Trump is more popular. Arnold cannot shake political correctness. He wish he was like Trump.
Trump > Arnold

true Arnold was kind of a pussy as a politician.
