I swear, force feeding leads to psychological damage, dead serious. It's awful. Way easier to inject yourself with loads of gear and kill yourself in the gym.
That awful feel when it's 9pm and you still need 2000 calories and are full to the brim and feeling bloated, but if you don't eat them, you won't make any gains.
-
Eat when hungry. Don't force feed, if the body doesn't need it you'll just store fat. If you're hungry and want to eat go for it.
-
Why would any sane person force feed themselves? ???
As the above poster says, eat when youre hungry. If youre not hungry, dont eat.

Clearly, you don't WANT IT as much as the OP.
Get in there and start feeding, you slacker

Whatever it takes, right babe?

You actually do this?

eat nuts bruh, most nuts have more calories than beef and they also contain onounsaturated fat, vitamin e, folic acid, magnesium, copper, protein, and fiber, and are rich in antioxidant phytochemicals.

You are never, ever going to get pro size by eating when you are hungry. Pro bbing means doing something to your body that is not natural and was never meant to be. You have to do unnatural things to get unnatural results (cue in the homos).
One of the most neglected aspects people take into consideration when determining the traits required to be a pro bber is the ability to eat. I agree with the OP that force feeding is probably the hardest part of being a pro bber. You feel nauseous and horrible most of the time. It's harder than dieting. Remember when Jay said that he gets no pleasure from eating? That it's just work for him. When you eat up to ten meals a day it becomes more of a chore and a burden.
The late Trevor Smith also commented on Jay's ability to eat. Trevor himself express the burden of force feeding and said he would drink over half of his daily meals.

I can eat a pound of steak but not a pound of nuts. Ice cream goes down easy and I can polish off a gallon in one sitting and I am not a big eater.

Trevor Smith was a fat piece of shit. He didn't diet down because he didn't have the mind to do it and he couldn't face he would only be around 240 pounds with a huge amount of SEO injections very noticeable. He thought at 400 fat offseason pounds he would be 350 ripped.
If your body is still digesting food from a previous meal why would you eat on top of it. Jay ate a lot big deal, Ronnie didn't eat as much. Jay ate pretty small meals, they would be digested by the time he ate again. That's not feeding when you don't need it.

Yep. Definitely. For most of my late teens/early 20s, I ignored how important "eating to grow" is, but eating big is every bit as important- and probably more of a hassle- than lifting big.
Here is a quick, easy, inexpensive way to get about 700-800 calories and about 42 grams of protein:
2 cups of oatmeal
half a banana
1 scoop of Whey Tech Protein Powder (Strawberry goes great with banana)
Grind the oatmeal in the blender first. Put the grinded oatmeal into one of these quart containers.
Put 2 1/3 cup of water in blender add banana and protein powder. Slowly add oatmeal. Should fill quart container almost exactly. Get it down quickly because it starts turning into oatmeal after about 7 minutes.
I used to take this 3-4 times a day and grew like a weed. It is really easy to get down and super cheap. I worked it out to about $24 a week for the food and $50 for a little more than 2 weeks worth of protein powder. If you are bulking, you really don't have to think about your diet if you drink this 3 or 4 times.

I never force fed and plenty of pros don't either. It's just an excuse to be a pig.

Seriously, shut the fuck up. You don't know shit. Trevor carried a ton of muscle and had lower body fat percentage than you do.
And lol @ Ronnie didn't eat as much. Why are people here so fucking stupid here? Do you even work out? And are you telling me that just because a meal is digested it now means your body needs more food? Jay is on record saying how sick he is from eating.
Again, just shut the fuck up.
-

Again some have the ability and capacity to eat a lot. But there is no way anyone get to 275 lbs 10% eating the average 2000-3000 cals/day which still produces a lot of fatsos.
I really don't think any aspiring bber waits until they're hungry to eat. Even back in the 1980s I was told to eat by the clock and not to wait until you're hungry.

Here's Trevor in all his low bodyfat glory ;D
Disgusted just completely owned everything you said then you come out saying you can't gain on 2000-3000 calories a day. At which no-one said anything about calorie amounts.
'Even back in the 1980s I was told to eat by the clock and not to wait until you're hungry.' That's where you're stuck man. Time to start thinking for yourself, never too late.

You just made this post about Lou Ferrigno.
Like I said, shut the fuck up! You know nothing about bbing. You don't even work out.
It's amazing that in 2016 there are still posts like this.
Lou was natural until 1993 because he thought Robbie MIGHT have been juicing too.
Good god, you're a moron!
He used a small dose of test and some Deca. Maybe some clen the last few weeks to get extra ripped.
I totally believe up until the 1993 Mr.O he was natural. He was natural in Pumping Iron and in 1992 it was all muscle memory and muscle maturity kicking in. But he wanted to win the first Masters O and thought Robbie might have started juicing too so wanted that extra kick.

That comment is a parody of Wiggs thread about Ronnie being natural turning pro. It's been done in a few threads since then.
I can understand you not getting it though :D.

I didn't get it was sarcasm. You never know these days but fair enough. I retract the comment

There is alot of truth to the force feeding. It's a modern bodybuilding issue. Guys didn't have this problem in the early 90s and 80s. Guys today do because they're heavier. Unfortunately for them, they all look like shit. Phil said one of his biggest lessons he learned early on was the frequency and consistency in which you had to eat to grow. Melvin Anthony and a host of other pros bodybuilders have said the same thing.
-
For me it was the hardest part. Now i just lift and eat when hungry, not worrying about it.
-
The hardest part of bodybuilding is the constant ass pounding.

I'm curious as to how Dallas uploads his 1 terabyte of flax...

I LOL'd.

Exactly.
And for the female competitors, 9/10 ten "agents" they fuck aren't even the real deal. They end up becoming demoralized and stop fucking talent scouts altogether at bodybuilding and fitness shows.
-
genetics dictates how big you are going to get, if you force feed 4000 cals over your maintenance you will just get fatter and fatter and gain the same amount of muscle mass as eating 2000 cals over.
Protein builds muscle not excess calories.
-
Protein builds muscle not excess calories.
I used to believe protein was the be all, end all, but in my experience, big calories have definitely played a bigger part in adding muscular size. I would agree that there is a point where it's just pointless and ridiculous, but for me, that point was significantly past maintenance. It actually took me a long time to get here because I was convinced that protein was all that mattered.

Having an eating plan is fine. Arnold ate sensibly. He had 3 meals and 2 snacks. If you think these guys back in the 70's and 80's ate 7 1000 cal meals per day your crazy. On the other hand if you really want to look like he guys today then go ahead and use 20 iu's of GH and 50 units of slin per day and force feed yourself into looking like a big pile of shit.
-
With drugs that makes sense, but as a natural you'd just end up fat.

You just aren't using the right supplements and macros are all wrong.
Try vanadium.

You will get fat as fuck force feeding.
If you do this shit you are mistaking fat stores and water retention for muscle fibers. If it makes you happy then go for it.
You will get a rude awakening pre contest.
Look at what happened with Trey Brewer
-
Why would any sane person force feed themselves? ???
As the above poster says, eat when youre hungry. If youre not hungry, dont eat.
Very simple, some don't reach their goals with their limited physical hunger. I know a very gifted guy for a few years (I call him mini-Flex), who stays less then 140 pounds. His physical hunger is simply way too low, since he isn't able to eat +3,000.

You are just not going to reach those numbers without eating far above what is normal. Sure Arnold looked great, but he was was 235-240 max on stage. He wouldn't be winning today -- for better or for worse.
I did remember Arnold saying in his first bio that after training he would eat a whole chicken. Most people don't and can't eat a whole chicken. Compare to normal people Arnold was a huge eater. That's why he wasn't a normal person.

I can eat a pound of steak but not a pound of nuts. Ice cream goes down easy and I can polish off a gallon in one sitting and I am not a big eater.
ehhhhhh, man u can grind the nuts to dust and mix them with pudding or fruit smoothies or anything "dessert". nuts r one of the most nutrient rich ways to get ur calories. i'm not a vegan, i love blood gushin medium stakes but nuts fucking pwn!
lets say cashew nuts, right? 200g of cashew nuts have 1000 plus calories. 400g of cashew nuts already have 2000 plus calories. then u eat ur regular stakes and whatever else and u will easily get that daily calorie intake. plus it's impossible to get fat from nuts, calorie is not just a calorie
i can't eat for shit, if i was to eat 5000 calories a day nuts would make 70% of all my calories. i would absolutely eat stakes all day, but with my current money income i would be broke within a week
-
ehhhhhh, man u can grind nuts
i love nuts
i eat nuts
super outed

there are many variables that could make up what's needed to build muscle on ones frame, genetics in the end is what dictates the end result.
you could have say for example 5'7 stage ready bber as a lightweight, middle, lightheavy, heavyweight they are all doing same things offseason eating,offseason/pre contest drugs, and all started with same goal get big and along the way each guy got bigger and others stayed with what there bodies could do.a lightweight could bulk to 200 lbs and still end up dried 154 in the end it is what it is..some guys like dex started as bantam and grew and grew some don't.
-
it's kinda funny..
....out of all the pictures I've seen of George Hackenschmidt I've still yet to see the picture of his kitchen on a sunday morning with 42 pots that contained borcscht and chicken

Yes. And McLovin is a gimmick.

super outed

It probably depends on the person's natural metabolism. Mine is fast so bulking required eating all day. Even at my heaviest (214), I felt great but had gotten a little bored with food.
Dieting down was easy until cutting sodium pre-contest. Was fine with tuna until switching to salmon. I still hate bag salmon, LOL!

The good news is that you don't need to eat fish. Chicken is perfectly fine and is even lower in sodium.

interesting article i found about his diet
Also known as the Russian Lion and the founder of the Hack Squat, George Hackenschmidt followed a balanced diet consisting of fruit, nuts and raw vegetables. Unlike many of the strongmen of that time and today, he did not believe in eating large quantities of meat.
" I believe I am right in asserting that our Creator has provided food and nutriment for every being for its own advantage. Man is born without frying-pan or stewpot. The purest natural food for human beings would, therefore, be fresh, uncooked food and nuts. It is not my intention to discuss here the old problem, whether meat is necessary as food for man or whether man was created and should remain a vegetarian. My experience has taught me that foodstuffs are of secondary importance. There are very strong people who are strict vegetarians, whilst others eat a good deal of meat. A fare which consists of three-quarters of vegetable food and one-quarter meat would appear to be the most satisfactory for the people of central Europe. – George Hackenschmidt
Hackenschmidt did not believe in seasoning his food, and recommended avoiding sour dishes and sugar, unless from a natural source like fruit."

Prepping is demanding, but it's like most activities a learning process.
Don't give up too soon, instead adjust things when needed :)

Isn't testicles (nuts) a form of meat?

without googling, i say no, but it's definitely an animal product

Eating a whole chicken is nothing
Eating three whole chickens is something
Seriously though, Arnold was probably still hungry after eating a whole chicken.
Thats not force feeding.

And that shows how much one's perspective plays a role. For me, a thigh and a drum stick is enough for me. When I buy a whole chicken that's four meals for me.
It's similar to how one defines strength and when one makes the claim that you don't have to be strong to be an advance bodybuilder. IMO, if one can get 10 clean reps on the incline with 275 lbs I consider that extremely strong. Even juiced. Sure not world class but way above average for serious lifters. And you have to be packing some decent muscle to move that kind of weight.
