Exactly.

And for the female competitors, 9/10 ten "agents" they fuck aren't even the real deal. They end up becoming demoralized and stop fucking talent scouts altogether at bodybuilding and fitness shows.

genetics dictates how big you are going to get, if you force feed 4000 cals over your maintenance you will just get fatter and fatter and gain the same amount of muscle mass as eating 2000 cals over.

Protein builds muscle not excess calories.

I used to believe protein was the be all, end all, but in my experience, big calories have definitely played a bigger part in adding muscular size. I would agree that there is a  point where it's just pointless and ridiculous, but for me, that point was significantly past maintenance. It actually took me a long time to get here because I was convinced that protein was all that mattered.

Having an eating plan is fine. Arnold ate sensibly. He had 3 meals and 2 snacks. If you think these guys back in the 70's and 80's ate 7 1000 cal meals per day your crazy. On the other hand if you really want to look like he guys today then go ahead and use 20 iu's of GH and 50 units of slin per day and force feed yourself into looking like a big pile of shit.

With drugs that makes sense, but as a natural you'd just end up fat.

You just aren't using the right supplements and macros are all wrong.

Try vanadium.

You will get fat as fuck force feeding.

If you do this shit you are mistaking fat stores and water retention for muscle fibers. If it makes you happy then go for it.

You will get a rude awakening pre contest.

Look at what happened with Trey Brewer

Why would any sane person force feed themselves?  ???

As the above poster says, eat when youre hungry. If youre not hungry, dont eat.

Very simple, some don't reach their goals with their limited physical hunger. I know a very gifted guy for a few years (I call him mini-Flex), who stays less then 140 pounds. His physical hunger is simply way too low, since he isn't able to eat +3,000.

And look at Ramy, Dennis Wolf, Kai Greene....

You are just not going to reach those numbers without eating far above what is normal. Sure Arnold looked great, but he was was 235-240 max on stage. He wouldn't be winning today -- for better or for worse.

I did remember Arnold saying in his first bio that after training he would eat a whole chicken. Most people don't and can't eat a whole chicken. Compare to normal people Arnold was a huge eater. That's why he wasn't a normal person.

I can eat a pound of steak but not a pound of nuts. Ice cream goes down easy and I can polish off a gallon in one sitting and I am not a big eater.

ehhhhhh, man u can grind the nuts to  dust and mix them with pudding or fruit smoothies or anything "dessert". nuts r one of the most nutrient rich ways to get ur calories. i'm not a vegan, i love blood gushin medium stakes but nuts fucking pwn!

lets say cashew nuts, right? 200g of cashew nuts have 1000 plus calories. 400g of cashew nuts already have 2000 plus calories. then u eat ur regular stakes and whatever else and u will easily get that daily calorie intake. plus it's impossible to get fat from nuts, calorie is not just a calorie

i can't eat for shit, if i was to eat 5000 calories a day nuts would make 70% of all my calories. i would absolutely eat stakes all day, but with my current money income i would be broke within a week

there are many variables that could make up what's needed to build muscle on ones frame, genetics in the end is what dictates the end result.
you could have say for example 5'7 stage ready bber as a lightweight, middle, lightheavy, heavyweight they are all doing same things offseason eating,offseason/pre contest drugs, and all started with same goal get big and along the way each guy got bigger and others stayed with what there bodies could do.a lightweight could bulk to 200 lbs and still end up dried 154 in the end it is what it is..some guys like dex started as bantam and grew and grew some don't.
