My thoughts on supplements is that it is all complete bullshit! Anyone who know anything about bb know its all based on steroids. You have like 20 roids or more around that work. So companies try to create bullshit compounds to make money! In reality non on them work and they just want your hard earned cash! Spend it on roids, gh and gym membership. Your thoughts?

A good protein powder like Isopure is useful. Fish oils and a few other vitamins are beneficial. The rest is GARBAGE!

Reason is there are so many supps coming on the market these companies can go years before they can be tested [fda] for potency other than the milk powder fillers that are put in. if they are shut down.they just use another company name so on and so forth.

Supplements are bullshit, but the supplement industry is very real. If you look at the turnover / profits it can generate....supplements often have a high profit margin (read: because of the cheap crap they put in most of the stuff)

whey is a waste product in the cheese manufacturing process.
I know a baker who used to pay £5 for a 55lb bag of whey years ago before the supplement industry took off.
Back then there was Casilan and egg and milk powder,.

I worked in the industry and have seen the shady goings on...
These days I use a little whey, more so to flavour my egg whites/oats than for the acutal protein content - BulkPowders birthday cake or bannana fudge are my go to ATM.
I'll buy the cheapest N.O drink I can find and use that pre training with coffee/coconut oil/honey. (Using Conquer right now, paid £12 for a 40 serving tub.) I like the foucs/pump from this lil combo...
I also use a little carb powder around my workouts sometimes.

It's interesting how people compartmentalize their beliefs.
If someone told you they had a treatment for X illness, but its never been tested by RCT's, you wouldn't believe the treatment to work, nor would you accept the treatment. Nor should you, as there is no demonstrable evidence that the treatment works. Obviously, a randomized control clinical trial is needed in order to demonstrate that the treatment is effective.
Yet, people believe, with zero evidence, that supplements work, despite the lack of RCT's ever demonstrating their effectiveness. Basically, when it comes to the effectiveness of supplements, people throw out all logic. ??? ??? ???

Agreed. It doesn't seem too hard to eat a relatively balanced diet. Of course, its never going to be perfect, but come on, it's not that difficult.
For most people, it would seem like they lack the needed vegetables and fruits in their diet. They have no problem loading up on meat and potatoes.
